What guests think

At The Symphony Inn & Suites, guests frequently praise clean, refreshed rooms and friendly, helpful staff, noting comfortable beds and solid value for a no frills stay, though the older property shows wear and some maintenance shortcomings.

Common drawbacks include missing toiletries or hair dryers, rusted or worn bathroom fixtures, low water pressure, slow cooling A/C, and occasional TV issues. Several reviews also mention odors, some early-morning or neighbor noise, and a few reports of feeling unsafe. Best for travelers prioritizing price over amenities and polish.

Decent budget stay, no frills For a budget hotel, this was a solid option. The room was clean and has clearly been refreshed with some modern updates, though you can still tell it’s an older property. No shampoo or conditioner provided, and there’s still a faint “old hotel” smell. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though the sheets showed some wear (a small hole, possibly from a cigarette). Check-in was quick and easy, and parking right in front of the room was super convenient. There was some early-morning noise around 5:30 a.m. — maybe someone refilling a soda machine or doing maintenance — but overall, it was a decent spot for a simple, no-frills overnight stay.

This hotel is older but kept clean. The staff is great. The towels are a bit worn and stained, but clean. Women - be aware they do not have hair dryers in the room or available from the front desk. I had to go to my meeting with wet hair.

This was my second stay here. Super clean inside and out. Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Everything was perfect. The only thing is the pillows are not comfortable and large enough for me. They still get a 10 however.

Loved this room! It was beautifully updated and had lots of space! Especially important to me was the amount of surfaces in the room, plenty of tables and countertops to put our belongings. The fridge, microwave, TV, and shower were all very nice and clean. Super comfy bed, I slept well. I would gladly stay here again

Gave us the wrong type room but quickly moved us. Air conditioner took hours to cool off the room. Phone didn't work. A popup kept appearing on the tv which made it impossible to watch. Needs updating. But it is shelter and electricity.

I travel to Houston alone for medical appointments. Because it is not vacation I don't like spending a lot of money. This place was older but the staff was helpful, the room was clean and I felt safe. It took me 27 minutes to get to MDA. Will definitely book again.

This place is a dump. When the guy in the lobby is in a cage it’s a bad place. A non smoking room still smelled like smoke. It’s in an alley way. Do not book a room. I left and went to another place. Felt very unsafe.
