What guests think

At Quality Inn & Suites Raleigh Durham Airport, travelers consistently praise the convenient airport location and shuttle, while opinions split on cleanliness, room comfort, and service, with many clean stays contrasted by reports of pests, noise, and maintenance issues.

Breakfast is generally limited with microwaved items and weak coffee, and several guests found options scarce or ended early. Facilities show wear, including repeated elevator outages, occasional pool and laundry closures, and periodic renovation and nearby road construction; parking can feel tight. Expect a basic, affordable stopover best for early flights rather than an extended stay.

This was a poor excuse for a motel. The elevator was broken and did not appear that they plan to fix it. Nothing stated that it was working when the reservation was made. I have limited mobility with my foot and my knee. It was very difficult to carry luggage up 3 floors or narrow steps. Especially since everyone was using them. They did not offer to help and actually laughed at me trying to do it myself. The staff was very rude and did not like to be bothered with any request. They snack machines do not work, your card would be deactivated randomly several people could not get in doors or rooms including me. I will never stay here and wish I did not waste my money on them this trip.

It’s clean and cheap so that’s the good news and the only thing that matters to most. They’re trying but the property is just dated. They need to fully overhaul the place. The elevator wasn’t working for more than a week. The front desk person said that the elevator is so old they were having a hard time finding replacement parts!

We went to have a dinner out side the hotel in a restaurant near the area. We came back 2 hours later to find were no parking space available. We spend 30 minutes driving around the hotel looking for a empty space without success. We ended leaving the car in a space that was not a parking hopeping no one tow our car. We saw the same situation to another people staying on the hotel. We left the hotel at 4am to take our flight back home. At least the hotel should guarantee have space parking for each guest. I will never stay in this hotel again

The room was nicely decorated and updated , the beds were extremely comfortable. The only downside was that the heat/air was off when we came in the room causing the floors to be wet from the humidity. There was a presence of mold above the entry door due to lack of air flow. The shower curtain needed to be washed mold/ dirt in the bottom of. All else was spot on. Priced very reasonably and I certainly would stay there again.

The first floor of the hotel needs some work. Upon stepping into the first room we were assigned it smelled damp and every surface felt damp. There was water coming up from between the floor planks in the bathroom. We changed rooms and this room smelled a bit better the issue with the water coming up from the floor planks persisted. We then started seeing earwigs in the bathroom I'm sure due to the moisture. I did inform the front desk of the issue and sent a message through corporate email.

I stayed for a week, and my room was never cleaned, or the bed made, trash collected, etc. Five out of seven days, my room key card demagnetized, and I had to go to the front desk to get it reset. I know that it’s a budget hotel, and they really have that part nailed.

This is an older Inn. Our room was nice but the flooring in shower area had a large separation in the linoleum. The shower curtain did not fit the shower and water has sprayed out onto the floor. I presume this is why the floor is separating. The bed was ok and clean. The room worked for us due to an early flight out of RDU. This is an ok stay.

It’s been updated to look a little more modern. Still on the cheaper side of quality, but looks better than the original interior that’s outside at the conex unit in the parking lot. Ive stayed at many hotels, and this is one id stay at again. Both beds squeaked, weird metal wire mesh frame. Heard the neighbors bed getting abused at 1230 am, ours did the same. Quiet hotel though, we stayed on Saturday night, totally booked out. No smells other than the moisture in the humid air. The breakfast is single packaged burritos from Costco or similar and sausage biscuits. Coffee, muffins, yogurt, and waffles, bananas, definitely eatable. There’s also a Wendy’s fast food right next door that’s open until midnight. And a Circle K gas station across the street with a food mart. Id absolutely stay there for $85 a night for a layover or one nighter over paying $120 for one of the neighboring hotels. There’s nothing within walking distance from this hotel besides the Wendy’s and Cirlce K gas station across the street.

We booked this hotel because of it's good reviews. Plus, it was close to Rex Hospital. It was well lit at night. It was clean. Bathroom was very clean and had plenty of hot water. Our room # 406 had two double beds both with metal frames. One squeaked every time you moved. So we switched to the other bed. It did not squeak. Both beds were very hard and uncomfortable. My back still hurts in places. Breakfast was okay if you're not a diabetic. It consisted of some kind of frozen sausage biscuit but no indication if it was pork, beef, turkey ... Needed to be microwaved before you cold eat it. They had blueberry muffins. Some kind of frozen breakfast burrito that had to be microwaved. The usual waffle maker fixings. Choice of drink was apple or orange juice. They may have had coffee or tea but I didn't see any at 6am. They didn't even have any kind of fruit like a banana or apple. I will say some of the staff was hard to understand due to accent. I felt bad asking them to repeat what they were saying three times, but that is how long it took for my pea brain to comprehend them. Sorry. They were very patient and kind to me. If it weren't for the uncomfortable beds and lack of wel rounded breakfast I would stay again. This was also least expensive place we could find and could afford. So you get what you pay for $82

I was very disappointed in the check in process. The first attempt I got there about 2pm. I know check in is at 3pm but I was a little early and sometimes they do have rooms available so I tried. There was NO ONE at the desk. I called out for assistance and there was no one. I waited about 15 minutes and no one came. I think that’s totally unacceptable. I went to have lunch and returned about 3:30 again no one was at the desk. Now this is definitely check in time. I think it’s poor customer service not to have anyone available to greet or provide services to their paying guests. Someone actually had to go and get the clerk. He said he was checking if rooms were ready. Are they that short staffed that they don’t have enough staff to check the readiness of the rooms? I will never stay here again and I fear to stay at any others if this is how they run their operations. Thank you.

Total mess in checking in. Front desk person was clueless. There was a line of 4 when I got there. Took me 45 minutes to get checked in. By then the line was in double digits. And.....they gave me a room/key that was already occupied. So there was that uncomfortable moment of opening the door to be greeted by a 1/2 dressed person. Tack on the inane $100 "security deposit" that Quality Inns are holding on to for five days. I'm just done with Quality Inns.

In fairness, 99% of my concern in a hotel is how clean it is. And my room was very, very clean! Immaculate even. So I'd come back based on that alone. But the service was terrible - another guest and I waited 20 minutes to check in and she had to go hunt someone down eventually - and the place is a bit shabby. The beds are not very comfortable either but I've slept in worse. The staff don't appear to communicate with each other and I got different answers about deposits and check in times depending on who I spoke to. Also someone else was telling me their ice machine didn't work. The AC wasn't as wonderfully glacial as you'd want in a hotel either, but it was adequate and I wasn't hot.

Conveniently located hotel in Raleigh. WE had easy access to food, Duke University, University of North Carolina, and North Carolina State. The hotel is also very close to the airport if you have an early flight. The hotel was recently re-painted on the outside. It looks much better than the pictures. The inside still needs a little work. Breakfast was adequate for continental. Defintely worth the value.
