The elevator got stuck hours after we checked in. We refused to use it when we got there because of how it looked. The fire department showed up to get people out that were stuck. We had to walk up and down four flights of stairs everytime, not by choice. The lobby smelled horrible. Honestly like poop. I don’t know how they could sit there all day smelling it. I thought I heard a cat at night, the next morning we passed a lady carrying a used litter pan. Lastly, our rooms door hardly latched and moved a lot after it was latched. Looking at it, there were dents around the lock made by what appeared to be a crowbar. Meaning our room had been broken into before and not fixed after. I also forgot, all the doors besides the front are supposed to be accessed with a room key to let you in the building. None of them were locked. Anyone without a key had access to the whole hotel. It was honestly one of the worst experiences in a hotel I’ve ever had. After smelling and seeing how gross it was, we no longer wanted to free breakfast and left to eat somewhere else that morning. Even thought we were looking forward to the free breakfast before we got there. We will never be staying here again.

The room was quite literally in disrepair, which patch jobs having been done but not re painted and floor boards literally coming up from the floor. The first day my shower towel had dried blood on it. The other days the staff didn’t even clean the room. It’s extremely unsanitary and disappointing, especially for paying for one of the “nicer” rooms. None of that is to mention the incessant stomping and running down the halls at all hours. It was nearly impossible to sleep

I walked into the room and my feet stuck to the floor, the floor has a missing section glued back down that was dirty and gross, whole place smelled old and just dirty. I tried to cancel and since I booked through hotels.com they would not work with me. Contacted hotels.com and they called the property and refused a refund. Never again will I use a 3rd party to book because there is no support from hotels.com or the property. It was so disgusting I checked back out about 15 minutes after arriving and found a better place for the same price that magically the day before was more on hotels.com. Never again.

We found bed bugs in our room and had to check out before midnight. Staff said they could guarantee the hotel doesn’t have begs to which I showed them pictures. Staff said they could not guarantee a refund but would switch us rooms. Due to the exposure of bed bugs we had to drive two hours home to go through all of our clothes and belongings. I called the hotel several times today to speak with the manager and was told I would get a call after 1pm. I called again at 5 and the front staff member said the manager was not able to speak and to reach out Expedia to get my refund. Many items were left behind due to our quick departure and nothing was offered for our inconvenience.

The staff they were absolutely amazing and so kind! And the rooms were clean but could’ve been cleaner in the bathroom area found a hair. But overall place was amazing and would definitely book again if I ever go in the area and would recommend my family and friends for a great place to stay to go there!

I didn't like how the hotel seemed like it was renovated yet run down in the same time. The hotel room itself, the window was actually stuck partially open. I was able to get it closed. But then the noise from outside still seemed like it was very loud. And it seemed like the shower was leaking onto the bathroom floor.

The room we were in 216 had a emergency forced open in the past. The door was forcibly open for a emergency I am guessing. A very poor very visible repair was done that did not allow the dead bolt to operate any more. they told me they would have someone look at it, but this did not occur. the floor around the entrance to room and bathroom had a very poor repair done. There were also cob webs up in the ceiling between the decorative ceiling joists.

I probably would not stay here again. One of main reasons I did was because it was pet-friendly and I was traveling with my dog. I've stayed at pet-friendly hotels before and one thing I expect them to have is a designated pet relief area with waste bags and waste bins. The person who checked me in said that didn't have that. After walking around the perimeter of the property, I saw what looked to be a relic of a bag dispenser/waste bin. The carpeted hallways were full of debris and looked like they needed to be vacuumed. My bathroom didn't look like it had been properly cleaned. There was hair and dust on the floor and even an empty shower gel bottle (one of the mini ones they provide) behind the door. A lot of the outlets in my room did not work. It was also really hard to get any sleep. The rooms in the rear of the building are subject to all of the noise coming from the highway so I heard a lot of what sounded like motorcycles and other loud vehicles at random times during the night/early morning. The blind was really thin, allowing bright lights from the light posts to beam into my room (there were no curtains to block it out). I could also hear the person above me stomping around.

The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice. The laminated flooring was lifting in places. The door closer was not present. The window was two plates of glass beside each other and allowed us to have a normal conversation with someone standing outside as if there was not a window there. The faucet at the sink read reversed. Cold water on the left side and the hot on the right. We will not return.

Main issue was that the windows did not lock. And this colored my experience completely. I was given a ground floor unit and having a window that could just be slid open is not comforting. In addition, the hvac in the room was non functional (which I only discovered because I was trying to make sure it would not turn on during the night so I would hear someone sliding the window open -ironic). The TV was also broken. They offered to move me but the offered room had an even worse lock. It did not catch at all. Finally, they are pet friendly but they do not maintain their pet area. There was a can that had bags at one point but no more and there was trash all around it. I always have bags so no big deal but there was also no other trash can outside the hotel so short of bringing it with me in the car my only choice was to add to the pile. Honestly, if the room had a functioning window lock or they had fixed that issue, I wouldn’t even have written this review. So that is honestly the crux. Either demand a high floor or bring an 18-24” stick with you (I ended up using a 1/2” breaker bar that I had in my car for changing tires).

Horrible customer service. When arriving was told their would be a $50 hold on my card and I would get it back the next morning. When checking out I was informed that I wouldnt get it back for 7 days. We had a room right by the elevator which wasnt good for a 1 year old that wakes up at every loud sound. The breakfast buffet was poor and not worth it. I wouldn't stay here again.

We actually were put in the wrong room. I was given a key card that said room 201 but guest services said to go to room 401. The door to room 401 opened after several attempts but the next morning we were locked out. The guest service person was confused why we were in that room which i explained what happened but stated we were going to be late to an appt. They finally were able to open the door to get our car keys. In the middle of the second night, someone tried to enter our room and I was very scared. Other than the wrong room being given to us, our stay was good

The central location of this LaQuinta was important to my visit. The facility was clean and all the linens, towel etc were soft and comfortable and plentiful. The room was larger than most hotels and the art was well selected to bring color and compliment to the room.All that said, what made my stay so enjoyable was the young lady who managed the afternoon reception /registration desk. I don’t know but suspect she was a manager as I saw no one else in the desk area. This young lady was super friendly and ALWAYS greeted me with a smile and sparkling personality. She was attractive, professionally dressed and just lovely. Engaging and with a shy yet beautiful smile whether I came through the lobby at 4pm or 8pm. She is an excellent representative for the corporation. I hope you can acknowledge her in some way as she is deserving of getting praise and knowing travelers do notice and appreciate the hospitality, style and presentation of outstanding representatives so many of which do a job by rote to be hardly noticed or worse ignored. Check in was bad. It was under my google name Honest Abe. She told me I had wrong booking number. After I showed the reservation number she said it was wrong and wanted me to email her a copy, then she tried taking a photo of my id, which I found exceptionally odd and I refused. She gave me the room after I complained. I was also under the assumption there would be breakfast from 6 am to 9 am, but when I came down all the food was gone, I stood around waiting for them to refill for ten minutes before going to front desk to ask them to make more. On top of all that, the elevator looked sketchy. There was caulk in the corners and the railing inside was broken and hanging. SMH, take a little pride in your business!

Nice place and a comfortable night. Hallways look a litttle dated, but it’s apparent that the renovations done have focused on rooms rather than halls (which is preferred!). Breakfast was good with lots of options, and location is very convenient both to stay (good restaurants and shopping nearby) and for proximity to highway exit for travel. Would recommend.

Desk staff were friendly and competent. Room was clean and the bed / pillows were comfortable. The A/C unit was an under-the-window unit and was really noisy. The normal fan was loud, but when the compressor kicked in, it was like a train was in the room. The shower was another disappointment. Must have been the least amount of water output from a shower head as I have ever run into. I'd bet one like that was the inspiration for the Seinfield episode. Last was the Breakfast. It was a Sunday morning - so to open at 7a. Didn't open the doors until about 7:20a - then not much out at that point. Could make waffles - but no syrup and no forks. Had cereal - but no milk. Very unprepared.

Next to the elevator on the second floor, there was a garbage bag with bugs all over it and the floor. The breakfast was pitiful: cold food, poor taste of eggs/sausage, bad coffee, and the juice machine was water. The room itself was fine, although you could hear everyone in the hallway and in the room next to us.
