Hampton Inn Columbus/Dublin

Did not have the RESERVED room type we wanted - so settled for 1 king bed. Automatic shades were not working properly. No ice available on our (5th) floor.

Pool didn’t work and WiFi was hard to get set up

Breakfast O K; pool closed

Continental breakfast was good. Place was clean and quiet...some renovations going on, pool was being renovated.

Many comments to explain the terrible/one star review, but only going to mention one. Stuck in the elevator for 24 minutes on the first night, not only ruined my stay here but plans while there as well. Handicapped and had to walk up and down the stairs for the next three days because I refused to get back on either elevator.

Mini fridge did not work in room, chair was stained in a very unappealing way, ice machine didn’t work, outside doors did not lock for safety.

Wasn't give the correct bill. Bill not itemized. New bill didn't show the days i added to my stay. No bowls or plates during one continental breakfast. No water in gym water dispenser. Staff/cleaning staff kept barging into room ignoring the do not disturb sign and not knocking first on four separate occasions. The front desk staff are pleasant (sans one) and do try to resolve the issues. New staff not being properly trained to NOT barge in while you sleep or bath in your hotel room/bathroom is terrifying, and sudden busy days caused the most issues. Only one elevator worked and the stairs sign discouraged you from using stairs unless its an emergency. Ended up waiting more than five minutes just to get from and to my room. Staff with large carts and guests were stuck waiting on the one day. I know these guys can do better because they have done better on previous years. I had to use the extra safety lock on my door to keep staff from barging into my room. I'd still get startled when the door was forced against it while being opened so I would hear a sudden, loud bang. I would call out and I would either here a sorry, or nothing, and I open my door to them quickly walking away to another room. I can overlook most other issues but I shouldn't have to question my safety and privacy. Train the cleaning staff. Make sure there's bowls and plates for continental breakfast. Had to eat out of a cup during one breakfast but I'm assuming that was due to the hotel being fully booked up.

Late flight. Didn't get to hotel until about 1 am so didn't have much time there. Hotel located in an easy to get to location. Plenty of parking. Both of the clerks checking me in and out were very friendly and helpful. Luggage carts available. Room was clean and larger than some hotels today. Nice shower. Bathroom vanity had plenty of room to set out travel bags and items. Towels in great shape. Bed was comfy. Linens were in great shape. Large flat screen TV. Breakfast was fine for the type of breakfast intended. Fresh apples and bananas, hot oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, etc. Think there was also sausage and gravy this particular day. We will go back when the need arises.

I want to say the room was clean, I appreciate that! However, the elevators was broken, ice machines didn't work, not enough cups, and not enough breakfast. Also the pool was down do to unfortunate circumstances but the staff did work hard to get ot back up and going.

There were many things that were disappointing here. I’ve stayed at this chain dozens of times and this is the first time being a negative experience. 1, at 10 pm the toilet wouldn’t flush. To be fair, they said they would send up someone, but I wanted to go to Bed. 2. Shower drain was stuck closed 3. Bed side lamp, bad bulb 4 no working ice machine on my and another floor. 5 no cups in the room 6. The tv had no guide or info so I could not see what the station was playing. 7. Breakfast hot food was cold. 8. Conditioner container in shower empty. I brought these matters up while checking out and was told the manager would be made aware. I was told I might get some points. The matter should have been addressed on the spot. I’ll give them a chance to give me some compensation, but will call if they don’t follow through Also , one of the 2 elevators was down and the pool was closed due to mechanical issues. Someone is not on top Of things there.

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Everyone was great.

Love other Hampton Inns, though it’s been a few years since I stayed in one due to work restrictions and family obligations. Did not love this one. Pros: Clean Quiet Friendly front desk staff. Have my coffee creamer. Comfy bed. Cons: First time ever I didn’t tip housekeeping. They only came once during my three night stay and only to take away dirty towels, including the safety one on the ground, without replenishing. I had only one towel left for morning shower and no safety one. Thankfully didn’t fall. Returned that night and they still hadn’t serviced the room. The sign says garbage, bed, towels and restock every other day. None of those happened. I had to go ask for towels so it took my own time. Ran out of tissue too. No place to put the sink soap so the counter became messy. Also, I love Hampton Inn because their shower curtain is curved so it doesn’t keep hitting my arm. This one wasn’t and the shower was tiny. Also, since they’d been overbooked they’d had only an ADA room left, however the room is not ADA ready. No seat in the shower and little water pressure, anyone in a wheelchair can’t shower. They also wouldn’t fit between the bed and dresser so half the room isn’t accessible. I’m not in a wheelchair, so this is an observation having friends who are. They ran out of breakfast items like coffee and yogurt. Staying at another Hampton Inn this next weekend. Hoping this experience was the exception versus the new norm.

This property was not well-maintained, issues raised were not fixed. Room was not "cleaned" for 6 of 7 days. Management staff were rude. Amenities were not as advertised. Worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at, and we typically choose Hampton Inn's when travelling.

Our toilet has poop stains, the bed has an unpleasant bad odor.

Room was quiet and clean. Staff very nice and friendly. Close to Columbus zoo and zoombezi bay. Nice location.

It was just a weekend stay with my girlfriend for a convention. It was a little dirty, especially in the bathroom. Hair sticking to the ceiling and on the walls and stuff. Other than that, it was really great! The guy who checked us in at night was absolutely amazing but the girl in the morning had like no personality. Housekeeping staff was awesome and breakfast was delicious.

The stay was clean. Beds provided great nights sleep. But service could be a bit improved. When we checked in the hotel rep was caring and informative. Said our room would be serviced every other day. We checked in on Sunday. Checked out on Thursday. We did not receive clean towels, paper good (TP, tissues, cups) anytime during our stay. I had to stop at the desk to ask for TP and tissues. We really just needed a place to sleep, but better service would have been appreciated.

The location was convenient. The room was not very clean. The bathroom floor and rim of the tub had due marks. The headboard had substances on it. I was disappointed.

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay for a concert. Staff was very nice and helpful, especially the front desk and the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was good with enough options without being overwhelming. The best part about our stay was the room! It was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at and that says a lot because I have stayed at more expensive hotels. The king size bed was so comfy and we didn’t have any issues sleeping at all, AC worked perfectly, plenty of channels on the tv, bathroom was clean. We would stay here again if we’re ever in Columbus!

The beds were comfortable but the heating/cooling system leaked water all over the floor. If you wanted to open the drapes you’d get wet feet. This is trite, but there was only decaf coffee in the room. Breakfast was HORRIBLE. The rooms were very small.

All the staff were friendly. Breakfast was awesome. Room was very clean.

Very close to the highway which was loud.

The air conditioner was like a freight train running through our room. Not sure why the pillows were all half sizes. Other than that, bed was comfortable

Overall, this is a good hotel. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The property was clean. The room was comfortable. I do like for hotel rooms to have ventilation systems where the fan stays on all the time. This one did not, therefore noise from the highway could be heard all night.

The noise from the nearby interstate made it very difficult to sleep. The room was clean and attractive.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I felt I needed to on this one. The bed was extremely hard, which is unlike hampton inns. Our room was right next to the highway.And all we heard was the cars all night long. If you stay here, make sure you get an even number room so you're further away from the highway. Play The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. That's not their fault.Where the hotel is placed and the comfort of the beds.

The staff called me at 1pm and canceled my reservation because of a water main issue. I was only 40 minutes away. The staff did not offer to help find another property and when asked, responded no. I’m probably not going to stay at another Hilton property.

Very nice. Very clean and well organized. Staff was great. Breakfast was exceptionally good. We will be back.

Andrew, the evening desk host was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. Tina at the desk in the morning was so fruendly and kind! We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable.

Check in time was later then 3. The front desk had an attitude.

At approximately 2:10am, we had relentless violent pounding and screaming at our door. It was 2 men claiming we were in their room. It literally sounded like they were trying to beat the door down. Terrifying! This went on for a couple minutes. I finally talked them down through the door telling them we had been in the room since 9pm and they left. I immediately called the front desk and the attendant seemed unconcerned. The next morning, I reported again. The worker at the front desk assured us this is a safe area and nobody would ever to actually get in our room. He also said he was pretty sure he knew the group they were with because they stay at the hotel on weekdays every week and tend to go out and get drunk. I told the front desk this was easy to say from their point of view, but being awakened like that at 2:10am was miserable and neither of us got good sleep after. I will jot stay here again.

Front desk was on point and greeted me 10’ from him and then engaged me in conversations, that included my needs and desires for my stay, I’m actually bothered I didn’t bother to learn his name, he made my stay so much better

Everything was great. When my flights got delayed and I wouldn’t be arriving until real late, I called to inform the clerk and he notified the late night clerk and everything was waiting for me when I finally arrived. Really appreciated the wonderful service!

Staff lacked proper training and had no authority to resolve issues.

We only stayed for one night on our way to Hocking Hills. The Bridge Park area is close with some amazing entertainment and dining options. The Ramen place there was incredible with nice Happy Hour pricing. We would not have known about this place if the young man at Check-In had not taken the time to give us some great ideas of what options were nearby. The best part of this hotel is the staff. They are all very nice; breakfast was awesome with many choices, better than other hotels, in general. We travel a lot! We will stay here again this summer when we go back to the Columbus Zoo and water park. Cheers (from Michigan) until then!

The staff was very friendly, the property was surprisingly quiet for being right next to 270/Sawmill, and the location was very convenient to the places we needed to be

Hampton Inn Dublin is conveniently located near the Columbus Zoo, shopping and great restaurants . I would highly this place to stay.

Good hotel. Right off highway 270, so you do hear the traffic. But building is well maintained in excellent condition. Grest staff and continental breakfast

Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty and hotel was close to restaurants, shopping, main highway to get local attractions. Hotel was about 10-15 minutes from the Columbus Zoo.

Nice place to stay if you’re in Columbus area. 19 min to OSU. Clean. Tons of dining and other options in Dublin area.

We were never notified until check-in that the entire lobby was under renovation. They offered breakfast in a bag, and when we went to check out the coffee, they were serving was completely cold. The person working the front desk was working off of a card table, and a laptop and did not seem to care about any of our concerns.

The breakfast was way below Hampton Inn standards,, when we went down for breakfast at 7am , there was very little food available as whoever brings in the food didn't arrive ? disappointing.>

Came into town for DIF. Easy to get to/from hotel. Breakfast and parking free are great.

Was clean and staff was nice but only one elevator working and breakfast was very disappointing with limited options, cereal but no milk, waffle station unavailable, no knives. Below the usual Hampton standards.

First day, breakfast great. Second day, more limited food. Third day, no forks or spoons. Asked for some. They didn't have any. Ever try to eat oatmeal with a plastic knife? Or eggs and potatoes? Or a waffle with syrup?

The only area of concern was the coffee stand...two people and not enough creamer, sugar packets, and stirrers available. The breakfast was outstanding!

Overall it was a good hotel. Room was good, bathroom was very clean. Lobby was comfortable. Service was excellent but breakfast selection was not great.

Breakfast offering was a little weak.
