Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville West End - Univ Area by IHG

Air conditioner in our room leaked but the staff fixed and dryer the floor promptly. During breakfast a maintenance engineer even asked how our stay was and gave our kids candy would definitely stay again

HOTEL The Hotel was very clean and kept in a tidy condition. All the staff members that we spoke throughout our 8 night stay were polite and courteous and very helpful. There is a small shop located adjacent to the Reception desk and has a fridge with varied ice cold refreshments. There are crisps (potato chips), chocolate bars, sweets and even some souvenirs. You pay for the items at the reception desk or you can charge them to your room. Free machine coffee is available 24hrs a day. ROOM The room was a decent size. The bed was comfortable and afforded us a good night's sleep. BREAKFAST The breakfast was plentiful and more than enough to start your day with a varied array of food, with all ages catered for. The restaurant staff were always quick to refill the food trays when the contents became diminished. DOWNTOWN The Hotel is a bit of a walk from Downtown Broadway but the Hotel provides a Free Shuttle Bus which drops you close by to the start of Broadway. "NOTE" Make sure you book your spaces on this service with the Reception staff and get your names added to the list. You can return on this service too, by phoning the Reception and asking to get picked up. This service is only available to a specific time in the evening, usually 21.30 hours. AMENITIES There is a Gym on the 2nd floor. The swimming pool is on the 3rd floor. It was a lovely addition to cool off on the very hot days. Our only complaint is that 4 sunbeds is not nearly enough for the area around the pool.

Their ad did not mention there was no property parking. Only options were street, which she said was not safe or valet for $50. I think they parked your car on the street anyway.

Loved this place. The front desk staff were lovely and gave very good recommendations for the area. There is a shuttle bus available also however I can't give any info on this as it's available after 11am and I never used it. One morning I also went down too late for breakfast and the kitchen staff were amazing and still allowed me to have items that weren't taken away yet. I'd highly recommend here!

I made the reservation almost one month in advance, and was never informed that the Holiday Inn Express, Ellston Pl, Nashville had valet parking only @ $54.00 per night. When I got there I found out that didn't include the tip (10% min). The sinks water pressure was very low (barely more than a trickle). At least there was hot water. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Bourbonaisse, IL on the same trip. We no hot water at the sink during our three night stay. Maintenance said they would have to order the part. I was not informed at any time that the hotel was being renovated. What a mess... construction materials and workers everywhere. The Holiday Inns were big disappointment, and I think I'm done with them.
