Moxy Allentown Downtown

The hotel was located in a convenient location with a parking garage around the block. The check-in desk was surprisingly at the bar (very cool), and the lady was very nice, professional, and happy. The hotel was nice and clean. The bed was hard, and I didn't like the sliding barn door style bathroom door (not very private). Also, the morning light came in past the window blinds. I would stay again.

We stayed at the Moxy Allentown for one night because we were seeing a concert at the PPL Center. The hotel is very cool with a great bar and lobby with many comfortable areas to relax and socialize. Our room was terrific for our family of for with double bunk beds twin over queen. Highly recommended the Moxy!!

No signs showing where to park, so I parked at the valet parking. No valet there, had to give keys to person at check-in. Sent message that I needed to have car at 6:15 AM as directed. Got to room, sat down on very uncomfortable folding chair and saw a man's sock under the bed. In the morning went to check out, car not there, person at checkout opened the cabinet and said which keys are yours. I found my keys, she gave me a barcode sticker to get out of the garage and was directed to an alley behind the hotel where my car was parked. Scanned barcode but it wouldn't let me out so I paid to get out of the garage. Not impressed and won't be staying here again and wouldn't recommend.

New 2025 Property in downtown Allentown PA. You need to be “open minded” staying here and our family loved it! Unique decor with numerous art incorporated into the entire property. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Check-in desk is literally at the bar which turns into a nightclub in the evening. Unique bunkbed style beds were super comfy and room was relatively quiet from all going on here. No fridge or microwave in room. Parking is 1/2 block away in one of two garages. Short ride to fairgrounds. Walkable to area restaurants and shops.

Property was fairly new so was very clean. Liked the large lounge areas

We stayed at the Moxy over Easter. It only one night, but i will definitely choose this hotel again for the customer service alone. The only con is it doesn't have any parking. They offer valet parking.

The hotel itself was amazing. The bar, location, everything pretty much. The only thing i was disappointed in was our king size bed. It was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. You have to pay to park/use the valet. He was super friendly and nice it cost $20 for the valet so that is a little frustrating

Hotel itself is interesting and very clean, however, the location of the check-in is not conducive especially in the evening for guests. Staff was stretched to wait on a busy bar, bus tables, serve food, and work with valets leaving a long line of tired guests well past midnight waiting due to a delayed flight. The TV remote was lost to our room and when asked for ice - we were told to find the ice bucket (missing). After going back to ask again for one glass of water the desk clerk told us to grab a garbage sack or other plastic bag from our room to hold the ice. My husband went and got ice across the street from another establishment. Coffee both mornings wasn't ready by 8AM. The first morning the desk clerk was eating cereal at the bar and told us to pump the last of yesterday's if we didn't want to wait. I've run 65 staff 24/7 as a manager of two high-end assisted living communities. I get it - it's hard to find dedicated front line staff. That said - our experience screams that there's a lack of ongoing professionalism development and staff members don't feel like they are a part of the hospitality industry. Some thought by management needs to go into figuring out how to improve that. Hint: it's not by being punitive. The shining light for the whole experience was the valet staff and security team. They should be promoted and running the front line. Wouldn't recommend which is too bad since we like the Moxy brand.

This hotel is absolutely adorable. It is a perfect location to walk to the PPN L Center Lots of dining options walkable. Valet service was fabulous. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful. Clean, awesome theming! The room I was in felt snug. No closets, chairs or tables. This hotel is more for the experience than comfort. Good for a one night stay.

The hotel is the way it looks on the pictures. Very interesting. Very fun and lot of areas to hang out have lunch. Also, the rooms are as little as they look on the picture. They were very comfortable and we did not need much cause we were only passing by. The room and the showers were very clean. There is a bar and some sort of a club downstairs, but it did not go past 10 o’clock while we were there. So in conclusion if you are young hip or just looking for a fun place to stay, this was definitely a great location. For parking we did valet, which was great.

This property is below basic and left to be run by nobody. The rooms have literally nothing in them. No hand soap to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom (ew), no night table to set anything on when you go to bed, and one terrible pillow per person while you sleep on the rock hard mattress. Thankfully we didn’t have anyone else sleeping in the other bed at the foot of our bed so I could steal the pillows off that one, but they were so bad that was not enough for the 2 of us. (Plus I normally sleep with 2-3 good ones). I also didn’t enjoy having to go on a treasure hunt from floor to floor to find my own hand soap to be able to use the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

It was such a cute little spot and the room was super cute everyone who worked there was amazing . This issue is the walls are thin and you can here everything which is awkward at 4 am when you are with your kids it could have been because it was a conjoined room but after finding ear plugs we got back to sleep.

This place is awesome! The only reason we gave a 4 star for the amenities is that the bed kinda sucked. It was very firm and not forgiving in the slightest. The room as a whole and hotel were beautiful.

This hotel is definitely for short stays. While the interior decor is very artsy and whimsical, the actual furniture in the room is lack luster. The mattress is hard and there’s no storage, I was there for only a couple nights so none of this bothered me too much. The thin walls

Probably the strangest hotel we've stayed in. No closet; only pegs on the wall to hang clothing and a drawer under each bed. No coffee maker in the room let alone microwave or small fridge. Chairs were fold out canvas hung on the wall. Queen beds were facing each other with one side up against the wall. Lack of flat space to put stuff on. Because no closet, we didn't discover the standard hotel laundry bag till we were checking to be sure we hadn't left anything when leaving. No ironing board and iron. Check-in is at the bar. The party on Saturday night went to 1 am with drums resonating at least up to the 3rd floor (where we were). Pet friendly meant barking dog in the room across the hall. Heard this is the trendy thing but not for us.

(Plus I normally sleep with 2-3 good ones). I also didn’t enjoy having to go on a treasure hunt from floor to floor to find my own hand soap to be able to use the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

We loved the vibe & decor. If we stay again, we'll have to request a different room. Ours was across the hallway from the elevator and it was very noisy.

Really noisy. I was woken up super early by an alarm (and repeated alarm, I guess they hit snooze over and over) from an adjacent room. Bed was really hard.

It was an awesome atmosphere!!! The staff was all so friendly!!! I would 100% stay here again!!!

Extremely Noisy and the Front Desk is a disgrace, the young lady who take our Check-In was an incompetent and didn't know about certain features of the Hotel, like the Power operated Roll up curtains in our room since when I ask how to pull down the curtain she said: I didn't know we have an electrical curtain." that is a no-no as far of customer service.

Very noisy and not family and kids friendly hotel, area around is unsafe, no parking and valet parking is $20. Don’t recommend!

We really enjoy staying here when seeing a show at Archer Music Hall. We had the opportunity to try the new Asian fusions new place next door in which you can enter through a slightly hidden camouflaged door. Will mostly likely come back even when we don't have a show to go to. Great place to stay.

The room and ambiance of the hotel was everything!! Just as the photos decripted!! Service at the bar was amazing. Food not so much but overall great stay and will be back.
