I booked a suite and it wasnt available. Also, i thought I booked the location right avross the street from the frost center but i ended up at a location 20mins away. The pools was very dirty and the hot tub didnt work.

The parking lot was confusing. People with large vehicles parking in the compact area and there is one way on one side while the other was both ways, but the arrows were faded on the ground. The inside was pretty nice.

Regret that the toilet would not work and no note staff to fix it. However staff very kind and gave us a discount off our room. Coffe pot in room was also broken. The work out room was awesome!!!

I enjoyed our stay as a family of 7. I’ll start off with the good, the breakfast, how close it is to a lot of stores, the staff was friendly, it was quiet , beds were comfy, water pressure was great, water gets HOT, and we felt safe. We noticed a hanging picture in our room full of mold, the room had a weird smell to it when we walked in, we also smelt a strong scent of weed in our room later in evening after check in, the hot tub wasn’t bubbling and it had leaves in it but we noticed the day of check out they had pool maintenance out there. I would stay here again!

Arrived late at hotel and was checking in to only find out the elevator was broken. With medical issues, I can not do stairs. They knew since shift change at 3pm about the issue and didn’t contact me. Said they didn’t have info from hotels.com. Had to get customer service involved to start a refund and rebook at another hotel. When making an inquiry at the new hotel, apparently if they wanted to help they could have contacted hotels.com for info.

Hair in the in room Jacuzzi tub and a glob of hair in the shower floor. Curtains were also broke. We got moved to another room but that room was missing a whole curtain and only had the sheer see thru curtain on it. The odor in the rooms were weird also. The hallways smelled a lot better. Ants by the waffle mix for breakfast also by the leftover container others used getting mix for waffles.

Bloody towels, and mold. I didn't notice at first; I arrived around 11pm exhausted after driving for 12 hours. After I showered, I noticed blood on a towel, and the room smelled really humid and found mold on the curtains right where the AC was blowing.

Room wasn’t bad BUT right by expressway so noise of cars driving by all night - family decided to have a bday party at pool area for child but were vaping and had quite a bit of people in small, dirty pool - cards to open room doors did not work entire stay so had to be walked to room by clerks - my kids spilled drink on bedding so I was charged extra $50 for that - not the most comforting stay.

The front desk check in gentleman was super fantastic. He allowed us to check in a little bit early due to having to change for a wedding. We had 2 rooms. In the first room one of the tv's was not working. In the second room the ac was not properly working as compared to the first room. Good price for one night.

Staff not available. They evidently had other responsibilities elsewhere, and were not at the front desk when needed. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The rooms were worn and old, curtains were torn, and light would shine through. The curtains also overlapped the air conditioner vent, and the cold air goes up behind the curtain and not into the room. Old air conditioners were loud and would wake me up throughout the night as the compressor turned on and off. Typical conditions for an old motel. I chose this hotel for the location. Would probably stay again because of the price and the staff.

Nice place tonstay rooms are large and clean. Ammenities are adequate. Coffee pot fridge and microwave. Nice. 2 tv one in bed area one in couches very good. Breakfast was good and variety of chiice. Overall ibwould stay again.

The man working the front desk the evening we arrived was rude and acted as if I was asking for something completely unreasonable when I asked him to give me access to the advertised guest laundry. He was unable to figure out how to open the door. When we returned to the room for the second night of our two night stay, we found that housekeeping had left a bag full of trash on our clean clothing that I had laid out on the counter top. Our room door did not lock properly. The front desk staff blew off our concerns about this. The room smelled badly of mold and the TV screen only worked sometimes. After all of that, they did not even offer coffee in the evening. I would rate this hotel zero stars if that were possible.

Our stay was perfect. There was plenty of parking spaces, the hotel staff was friendly, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and lastly breakfast was amazing (there was many food options - waffles, eggs, sausages, bacon, yogurt, bread, coffee, hot chocolate etc). This is our second time staying at this hotel, I would recommend to a friend.

Everything was so much better than expected! From the very first late evening greeting to my farewell for now (till next time), the staff was incredible! Everything worked fine in the room and elsewhere! Spacious, clean and hey, having 2 TV's is always a plus for sports fans! Mini-fridge, hair dryer, iron and microwave were appreciated and worked fine as well... Comfortable sofa and bed with plenty of extra pillows were nice, too! Located near Costco, Walmart, restaurants in a safe part of town with zero parking lot issues! Hot Breakfast Rocked!!! Would be very difficult to beat the total overall value so as I told Monica on the way out, I can't wait to see everyone when I return on my next visit and hope it is soon!

Waited a long time to check in at 3:00. Then was told she wasn’t sure which rooms were clean. She texted the maid, no answer so she had to go find the maid to find out where to put us. Assigned a room and two keys. First key wasn’t programmed so it didn’t work. Once we got the key to work the door wouldn’t open because the lock was stuck. Floor inside the door was just mopped and a hazard because it was wet! The hallways were so hot and muggy. Turned on the air in the room guess what, it didn’t cool down appropriately. Closed the curtains to attempt to sleep on the not so comfy beds. Woke up and pulled the curtains open to realize the entire window pane was about to fall out of this third floor window! Was very happy to leave that hotel behind!

There were 2 separate car break-ins during my stay. Parking lot had dark spots and could cause unease at night. Otherwise, room was clean and spacious. Staff was attentive when needed. The only thing that I did not care for was the water did not get hot enough for the shower, it was lukewarm at best. Overall, a fair/decent stay...it wasn't exceptional but didn't stink either. The surrounding area has nearly all one needs for food and supplies.

Hotel room was fine, and staff was nice when you could fine them. There was a bad smell in our original room, but they helped us get another one quickly. AC / Heater didn't work well on the trip though. We were in a really sketchy neighborhood. I picked this hotel thinking that it would be safer, but there were people camped out (sleeping over) near the pool area and what seemed to be a lot of weird things going on in the parking lot (a lot of cars would pull into the parking lot wait for someone to come out to it and then would leave while the person walked back somewhere). I wouldn't let my family out to use the pool or hot tub because of that. It is also in an inconvenient location right off the freeway.

My family and I stay at many hotels throughout the year due to traveling for my daughter’s volleyball tournaments. While staying here our truck was broken into (handle ripped off) and everything taken out. We have never had that happen to us before and we are in hotels at least twice a month. Another family friend also stayed here the same night and the exact same thing happened to them as well. I will NEVER stay here again and I recommend that you don’t either- unless you want to risk damage to your vehicle and theft. Oh. And the hotel also made my husband sign an agreement that they are not liable for any damage or theft of vehicles. Should have know then that it was a sign. Not worth the cheap nightly price.

For the price, we were very pleased with our stay at Best Western Plus Hill Country Suites on HWY 281. We had three people staying in a two-queen bed suite for four nights. The beds were comfortable. It was a hot week but the air conditioner worked well. The breakfast was very good with hot eggs and sausage each morning. The suite was on the smaller size, but worked okay for three adults. They were stingy with the wash clothes for some reason. Every time they provided fresh towels, they only left 1 wash cloth and two hand towels for three people? We had to ask for extra wash cloths and extra hand towels everyday of our stay. Since the frontage road is only a one-way road past the hotel, we did find it a little confusing to figure out how to get back to the hotel each time we left. We had it figured out though by the end of our stay. Overall, our stay was good and we would recommend this hotel.
