Check in waa smooth & was allowed an hour early check in. Friendly staff. Room was spacious. Free parking definitely a plus. Only negatives were the room had a strong mildew smell when walking in & the pool seemed murky due to too much chemicals as well as the jacuzzi being out of order.

Upsetting that there was construction on all the streets around (hotel can’t control), front of hotel being remodeled which adds to the small parking lot. Breakfast was average- nothing special. The pool was small and so so cold. The Jacuzzi didn’t work and when asking the staff, they didn’t know how to work anything. Our key was terrible, even after switching it out. Took at minimum 7-10 swipes to access the room. Only upside is it’s very close to the Daikin stadium and Toyota center. If you just need somewhere to rest your head, this place will do the job. Nothing great, not even for the price but it got the job done.

Hotel was close to the convention center so that was the main thing for us. Parking was full and messy because of the construction. Construction around the hotel was also going on and they closed the street going to the convention center. Not the hotel’s fault but it double our walking time to the convention center. Pool had way too much chlorine in it, we could not breath correctly and our eyes were burning even if we did not but our eyes in the water. Breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional, nothing bad either.

The entire hotel is under renovation. The pictures are not accurate. Yes, they have free parking but majority of it is taken up from the construction. There is only ac in the lobby area and rooms, no AC on room floor or in elevator. Elevators were definitely a tough ride. Room looked like it was half renovated, crappy paint job, broken tile on floors and the whole pool/pool are needs to be redone. It's not safe, clumps of hair in the pool and pool was chipping with no water fall. Only positive was "free" parking and comfortable bed. Very disappointed based off the pictures verse what was there. Most areas/roads surrounding hotel we're all under construction. Also, we paid cash up on arrival but was then charged via credit card for the stay so keep an eye on that.

It’s being remodeled. Horrible smell of mold throughout the hotel. The pool water was disgusting. No AC in the 4th floor hallway. Not enough parking for all the guests. Staff was rude and no help at all.

The gym was advertised as open but is under construction which impacted my rehab schedule and energy level for a very important networking event that I paid a lot of money to attend. Additionally, the entire area around the hotel is under construction (likely for a while) so it's very difficult for Ubers to find the entrance / during the day it was blocked, and it's even difficult to walk to certain nearby areas as streets are closed off. Lastly, I noticed after coming back the first day that my door hadn't locked. After that when leaving I had to pull the door probably 5-6 times with just the right amount of force to create vibration so the dead bolt went incrementally further and then finally slid into the lock. It was the 2nd room I had because the first they gave me was right next to the construction, and I didn't have time to keep requesting to move to another room. Definitely was not worth almost $300 per night and I assumed it probably won't be for quite a while, given the construction in the area.

I chose this hotel because of the pictures on the website and the amenities. However, it looked nothing like what was on the website. Everything was looking bad from the time we pulled up. We had to enter the building by going around a big industrial trashcan. When we walked in the lobby the furniture was dirty. You should not see filth when you first walk in. First impressions are lasting impressions. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because it looked like renovations were being done but when I went upstairs it looked more like a motel than a hotel. The room had a horrible smell like mildew. The light on the left side kept going off like it had a shortage. The room and bathroom were falling apart and should not have been offered for anyone to stay in. The jacuzzi and pool looked like there had been no maintenance. Whoever the owner is should really take notes if there are numerous people with the same complaints and make the proper corrections sooner than later. If not, they should only put people in the rooms that have already been renovated because these conditions are hazardous to one's health. There was one positive thing. The breakfast was good. Thank you breakfast staff!

The hotel is in terrible shape. Falling apart. Extremely dirty, grimy, disgusting. The floors in the hotel room were "sitcky". Shower had no pressure. Not clean - human hair all over the place. curtains were threadbare. The smell in the hallway WAS mold. Everything about the hotel is completely run down, The free breakfast was so bad!!!! For instance, omelets were runny. Bread was stale. The coffee was absolutely terrible. The cream was even curdled. The front entrance was a mess - from the storm. But still. The storm was a relatively long time ago.....we will never stay there again!!!! They should refund everyone their money to safe face and reputation. This hotel gives Holiday Inn (an iconic US brand -especially for travels) a bad name and a black eye.

Bottom line, we left at 12am after we found SEVERAL roaches in the room. The hotel (before this discovery) was eh. The check in was quick and the gentleman at the desk was pleasant enough. The hotel however is under construction so there were 2 big dumpsters and A TON of boxes and old furniture in the back parking lot taking up several parking spaces. We found the last spot available and after moving some empty boxes we were able to park. We didn’t want to leave the lot for fear of there not being a parking spot when we returned. Around 12am as we were about to go to bed we saw a roach on the wall..needless to say he WAS NOT ALONE. After finding several kore I called the desk to get a different room and they were completely booked. So at 1 am we packed up and were off to find a new hotel for the night. Very crappy experience. Was only given 50% of my room charge back. I am sure it goes without saying that I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

We were given a room on the 4th floor with a shower that only had luke warm water, a sink that didn’t drain, a terrible smell of mold / mildew that had us coughing the entire next day, and a nasty dirty pool that had so much chlorine we could only stay in the room for 5 minutes and green scum on the side of the pool that would come off on your hands. We had to demand to be given a different room on a different floor, as the person on duty talked about how the 4th floor had just been “remodeled” due to a roof leak (hence the mold / mildew). The second room wasn’t much better. The only plus is it is close to the Toyota Center, if you don’t mind being sick for the basketball game.

The property does not look how it looks in the photos, it’s more run down. The beds, floors and walls did not match the pictures displayed they need to be updated. I had a lot of things wrong with my room. My bathroom shower was not properly cleaned, the shower head had green residue on it. The bathroom door didn’t close. My actually room door didn’t shut all the way so you can peep through a crack and see into my space. Dresser doors didn’t close, i tried to close them and they slid back out the floor must be uneven. The smell was horrible it smelled like mildew/mold in the hallways, the room smell wasn’t that bad but still smelly.

I usually love this location. They have fantastic customer service and great morning breafast. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel. Although, the rest of the hotel leaves us a little disappointed. They have certain areas like the car port under construction and some areas around the hotel but I saw 0 people working on it all 4 days I was here. The hallways smell like meldew and mold. The rooms obviously need some work, not just slapping on some paint like they have done. I usually love this location but its definitely showing its age plus wear.

This is the second Holiday inn that i don’t like. Once you approach the property it’s cut off due to roof damage.Very limited parking, the room didn’t have black out curtains. Very loud !!! i could hear children in the hallways . The show had a restriction on hot water not letting you turn past a certain point . there was no thank you for the stay after checking out . The only great thing about it is it was so close to the toyota center i could literally touch it from my hotel room. over all the breakfast was great . i wouldn’t recommend if you are wanting to relax or really enjoy yourself it’s good for a hi and bye in and out and great if you are going for a event and your there just for sleep . the bed was comfy and cozy i’ll add not the best but not the worst .

We had a nice day at this location, but it could really use a renovation. There were lamps and electronics in the hotel room that didn’t even work. It was nothing that was so inconvenient that we felt like we needed to complain, but the hotel overall really needs some renovation. Excellent location in downtown, walkable, restaurants, and things close by so it is a nice place to stay in that regards. The staff are all very nice and accommodating.

Great space, amenities were up to our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. Only two things weren't very great: one, being the windows and how loud the outside noises come through. Second, the people who stayed in the room before us, pulled a "Ross" on the standing lamps.

Walking distance to basketball arena, room smelled like someone smoked, a/c was excellent, not a quite place to lay your head. Venue a block away stays open until 2am and the music is very loud. But I can sleep through anything so it didn’t bother me. Bed was very comfy. Staff was nice.

Old. Outdated. TV was small compared to other hotels. Not expecting a 60” but not a 19”. Carpet in room is old. Rest room is outdated foo. No ac vent in restroom nor an exhaust fan so always “humid”in there.

Inez at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff were friendly and polite. They are currently working on updating the hotel, but it was a good experience over all. Very close to the Toyota Center and one free parking spot per room makes it perfect for concerts. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious.

First off, Garrett was awesome! We interacted mainly with him and he was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He is definitely an asset to the company and a great representation of customer sevice. Our stay itself was short, but it went well. Once in the rooms, you can tell that the hotel is a bit older, but it was kept very clean. We had no issues with the overall quality. The pool was also clean, though the jets weren't working in the hot tub that night.

Hi. We went to an event at the Toyota Center and stayed here for 2 nights. I felt I had to take the time to commend the front desk staff. Specifically Mirwais and Muskan. They were both great and went out of their way to make our stay the best that we’ve had in a long time. We’re planning on going back in March and will definitely be staying here again. Overnight visit with family to see Houston Rockets. Excellent location, Toyota center was literally just across the street from hotel. Had we known, we would’ve not paid for parking at Tundra Garage.

Great stay. Perfect location with free parking which is unheard of in this area. They could expand the snack options since there are not of options for snacks within walking distance of the hotel, but everything went smoothly and our girls had a good time with the indoor pool.

Check in waa smooth & was allowed an hour early check in. Friendly staff. Room was spacious. Free parking definitely a plus. Only negatives were the room had a strong mildew smell when walking in & the pool seemed murky due to too much chemicals as well as the jacuzzi being out of order.

I stayed at this hotel because I was attending a convention. I loved the closeness of the hotel to the convention center. I could walk from my room to the meetings in less than 10 minutes. I also liked the hotel having plenty of free parking and a pretty decent breakfast that was included in the hotel price.

Great stay overall. Booked the hotel for being close to the Houston passport agency and being close to the freeway as well. The front desk were considerate to let me park my car because of being held up in line in passport agency. I love their breakfast.

I usually love this location. They have fantastic customer service and great morning breafast. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel. Although, the rest of the hotel leaves us a little disappointed. They have certain areas like the car port under construction and some areas around the hotel but I saw 0 people working on it all 4 days I was here. The hallways smell like meldew and mold. The rooms obviously need some work, not just slapping on some paint like they have done. I usually love this location but its definitely showing its age plus wear.

Location was very convenient to Toyota center. However, could use some updates. My bathroom door didn’t close. Since I was staying alone I didn’t say anything. Didn’t think to take pictures but it was like the door was too big for the opening, couldn’t get it flush at all. Other than that the bed was comfy and pool was nice. Would return jugs because of convenience to Toyota center and downtown.
