Stayed 1 night

The room was fine, clean and comfortable apart from the spring mattress, but not bad for 1night stay. Breakfast - (issues: Natalee “4issues,” Food runner “2issues -didn’t review prior to see the ticket”, and the Cook -issues messed-up 2x due to not making the right dishes) in the restaurant was a nightmare……Myself, my 2 kids and my wife - wife had a basic and healthy meal (that was fine), my oldest daughter had a basic meal from the menu and of course basic and eaten (no worries), my youngest daughter were asked for a burrito w/scrambled eggs/with no cheese and added sausage (simple order, and very very basic request)…I ordered 3 bottles of water…given the details to the waitress (Natalee) and she spoke it right back out to us (no issues and replied with it perfectly). I then ordered my egg burrito with what was mentioned on the menu but I added in jalepeno along side of the menu as: meat/cheese/and I added as well with spicy dressing on the side…… Now the food arrived about 30minutes to about 45minutes later——>my Youngest child is starving at this point—>When the burrito arrived: scrambled eggs/potatoes squares/meat inside of it…(“ok, things happen, not a big deal let’s get it resolved, please ‘Quick-fire the meal’ ASAP - mentioned to the waitress Natalee)…20+minutes later….Now my daughter’s burrito arrives and I open it up for her : scrambled eggs/no cheese/sausage and Potato squares inside…another mess-up, our 3 bottles water never given, my burrito as well was bad

Stayed 1 night

I decided to book a last minute stay at Cheeca Lodge for a quick getaway during Labor day weekend, thinking this would be a nice surprise for the wife. The check in process was smooth, and got to check in early. The staff was friendly, and very hospitable. Everything was fine and dandy up until we got to the room. Upon going into the room I noticed small bugs by the front door, but ignored it because its the Florida Keys, and there are bugs everywhere, no biggie. A few hours later I noticed a bug or two inside, again ignored it because the actual front door opens up to the outside portion of the resort, so I figured some bugs are bound to come in. Come night time, when I decide to go to the living room area and turn on the lights, I see several dozens of cockroaches all over the counters and floor. It seemed like the roaches were having a party. After paying the amount of money for what is supposed to be a "5-star" hotel, and experience this is unacceptable. It was already night time and decided to address it in the morning. When we did tell the hotel staff, they were nonchalant about it as if they already knew about this. I'll be submitting a complaint to the BBB. Nice hotel but not worth the price, especially if it's going ti have more roaches than a roadside motel.

Everything was excellent…the only complaint was the carpet in the room.It could use a good cleaning…if you walked on it barefoot at all, your feet would become very dirty. Loved how every building had its own ice machine, pool areas were excellent a long with the staff waiting you.
