Excellent location close to many restaurants and shopping but quiet and private. The onsite restaurant was beautiful and very good. Staff were helpful and kind. Most things we wanted to see or do were within 1 mile or less walk. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous rooms and the hotel as a whole. Lovely and green. Very comfortable beds, with lovely bathroom. Hotel is really central and walking distance from everything in the historic centre.

The two main reasons I booked this hotel were the location and the restaurant. The location was great; however, the restaurant experience was very disappointing. One week before our arrival, I called the hotel specifically to ask about the restaurant menu and shared how excited we were to dine there. When we arrived, we discovered the restaurant was closed and under construction. I informed the front desk that I had called the week before asking about the restaurant and expressed my disappointment that I was not notified about the closure. The employee asked what time I had called, and when I said in the afternoon, she replied, “I don’t work in the afternoon, so it wasn’t me.” I found that response unhelpful and disrespectful. We were very tired, so we stayed and tried to find a reasonable solution, such as an adjustment to our rate or another form of compensation, considering the restaurant closure, construction noise starting daily at 8:00 AM, dust caused by the work, and the strong humidity/musty smell in our room. After following up, I was told that because we booked through Expedia, nothing could be done. A room change to the second floor was offered, but with only two nights remaining, we declined. I would like to mention that the doorman was very kind and consistently provided excellent service. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled negatively impacted our stay.
