The elevators are on one side so depending on your room location the walk to the elevator can be long. Food was OK and expensive but that is to be expected in California. In town for one night for a cruise so it served the purpose. If I was there multiple nights, I think I would choose elsewhere. Book your shuttle to the cruise port in advance or you may be waiting awhile especially if you have a group.

Good hotel for one night stop before joining a cruise. The property itself he’s looking a little bit tired and the white staff in the restaurant were not the most welcoming but the lady bartender more than made up for this as she was upbeat and very very welcoming. The free shuttle to the Cruise part is the big bonus with this hotel as when you check in you just book your time for the following day wait in reception they call your name and you’re delivered to the port in record time.

This hotel is convenient if you are cruising. Shuttles to ships. Disappointed as our room was next to ice machine and noice kept us awake all night. Also, we could not get on the shuttle we needed at 10:30 because they would not let us reserve our time in advance. So we had to go 2 hrs late. Nice pool and hot tub. Hotel on the Marina.

We stayed cause we were going on a cruise. Everything was wonderful. Gods food at the restaurant. The only concern is the bathtub is very slippery. I read about this from other reviewers. Make sure you are very careful when you take a shower. Use the handicap rail. I’m not sure why Hilton has not addressed this. Seems to me it’s a lawsuit ready to happen.

Wonderful place. Went for cruise so was told to stay here but it ended up being exceptionally nice. Their outdoor dining area was very nice. Restaurant was great food. Room was very nice. And the free shuttle to the cruise was exceptional. Everything was flawless.

This property was awful - there was a cockroach in our bathroom as soon as we arrived. The wallpaper was falling off the walls and the baseboards looked like they had never been wiped down before. The room was dirty and gross. The breakfast was a mess- we needed to wait in line for over an hour to be seated and then they still ended up charging my card even though I had purchased breakfast included in my room.

My room number 305 restroom wasn’t clean . The shower head has rust all over it a the rail to holds was loose an had calcium build up around it. Night stand had not been sufficient cleaned had water marked from cups bottles. I really like this hotel never experienced this before.

The marina view was wonderful and the staff and food in the restaurant was great. However a light in the kitchenette would have been useful, I had to move a lamp in there to see at night. The sofa was dirty and the carpet was really dirty, the bottom of my feet turned black after I showered and walked on it.

Great location and very quiet. However, heater in room did not work and was not repaired even after we reported it. And carpets were very dirty. I dropped a little water on the carpeting and used the bath map to sop it up. Much to my surprise, when I lifted the bath mat is was filthy with dirt it had picked up from the floor!

When I got here at the Double Tree Hotel I was not greeted as a Guest and by the the time I got to the room I found towels on the bathroom floor and dirty cups and bags and for the price the tub knobs were broken and I want be staying here ever again

Got the junior suite instead of a regular room to have more space. It felt bare, could have used some decor to feel less like a dorm room. Furniture was old & worn. Service at front deck was super slow, took over 30 min to check in. If not for the beautiful grounds and peaceful atmosphere, I’m not sure I would stay there again. Shame, since I have family in the area & go there frequently.

From what I'm told the hotel is older, which explains the minor things wrong with the room. The sink facet knobs leaked slighty when turned on, the window screen was damaged, the ac unit was squeeking when on and the bed was a little on the firmer side. Other than that room was clean, staff was nice and the location and view was amazing, right on the beach

Nice room-clean and comfortable. Easy check in. Property was really busy this evening and had a bit of a late check in (11:00pm). 6:00am comes around and there were some group of individuals roaming around the parking lot banging their drums and honking what sounded like a child’s bicycle horn while shouting some chant over and over and over. Finally stopped around 7:30AM. Ugh!!

We arrived to find a labour dispute at the front door with a large group of people with megaphones and drums making so much noise it was unbearable. Evidently it had been going on for months. They finished their dispute at 6:00 pm and started again at 7:00 am the next morning. The hotel is so remote that we could not easily go elsewhere or eat elsewhere. We feel we should have been told about this before we arrived.

The property was conveniently located near the harbor which was great for our weekend plans. However, there were only two bath towels provided for four guests. After two phone calls to the front desk and a two hour wait, it took a personal visit to the desk to get more towels. And on a housekeeping note, our room was NEVER serviced at all during our three night stay. Yes, we were at the end of a very long hall, but not impressed with the level of service. Also the breakfast buffet was seriously overpriced so we opted for a local delicious diner instead. It met our needs but I'd honestly expected more for the price and reputation.

Team was amazing to find me a room late at night when my Holiday Inn left me without a room. Also the staff in the restaurant (Rene is it?) was extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was well prepared, and sometimes you can tell when the people working care about your experience being good/solid. I would love to stay here again sometime.

Hotel was nice, we upgraded to a room overlooking the marina with a balcony. There is nothing around the area. One restaurant about 20 min walk away. No stores. There is a free aquarium also about a 15 min walk which we went to. We also did walk into town but there wasn’t much there either. Port o call village is no longer. Nice hottub but pool was freezing

The area around the marina and park was very pretty. Didn’t seem walkable to anything, but beyond didn’t look like an area I would want to walk to. The staff, especially the restaurant staff were GREAT!!! Picked this hotel for its close proximity to the cruise port and free shuttle to the port. Perfect pick for that.

We stayed here for two nights prior to going on a cruise. The hotel was convenient to the port plus they also offered a shuttle to and from the cruise port. the staff was very friendly and accommodated several special requests. The only drawback is there is not anything close to the hotel such as dining and or attractons. If going on a cruise it is definitely the place to stay.

The rooms are outdated which made it feel dirty. Our mini fridge was placed on the floor. Not on a table or a nice cabinet. Hotel needs to be refreshed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was mediocre. Mashed potato description was not what received. I received some instant potatoes with some parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. For 2 people 20% gratuities was added to the bill.

We were only staying the night before we took a cruise so we weren’t looking for too much. The bar lobby, which was also the restaurant was pretty good for happy hour. Dinner was not good would not eat there again but they had some good margaritas. They didn’t have a nice shuttle that took us to the cruise terminal so it was very convenient.

The property is fairly nice, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Our biggest complaint is that the only restaurant in the hotel has fewer than 20 tables. The staff worked their tails off trying to keep things moving, but it just was’t enough to make up for the lack of tables. There is ample space in the area to accommodate more tables which would make everything run more smoothly.

When checking in the woman was very nice we wanted to eat dinner there the restaurant . It was very understaft. I would think when you know the hotel is full you would have more help. We did have dinner but it took forever we only had wings and nachos. And most hotels that i have stayed at at laest offer free coffee. Not at your place. Well you did have a coffee pot in the room but it had to be moved to plug it in. The shuttle service was great. We wanted to eat breakfast but the line was to long and all tables were taken. At dinner we had to share menues and the happy hour menu.
