Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Macedonia, OH

The hotel itself had a nice location, close to restaurants, highway and National Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and had a variety of options (cold and hot items). However, the hotel wasn’t in its best conditions. I don’t mind an older hotel as long as it is clean and well maintained. This was not the case. The bathroom specifically was in bad shape. The roof and sides of the tub had mold, the corners of the floor and walls were dirty. In the room, I noticed a candy underneath the bead and some webs on the side of the window curtains. The place is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and a face wash! Nothing that some painting and a few upgrades couldn’t fix.

We stayed at this hotel about 6 years ago… it was very nice and reasonably priced. this time we found it to be VERY run down and also not clean at all. The gal at the front desk was wonderful! she said she had been there for 26 years! Too bad the cleaners were not as great as she was!! The landing at the elevators was dirty the entire time we were there. It was never mopped. The sofa in our room was MORE than dirty… it was stained and disgustingly dirty. It needed to be steam cleaned or thrown out! The tub in our room was just gross! I had them come and clean it but apparently the young man didn’t understand what CLEAN meant! They need a professional cleaning crew to give the entire place a good scrub!! Things were just falling apart… the baseboards in the room were coming off the wall! The handle and faucet in the tub were loose. The elevator had no certificate posted. The emergency button was not labeled and the panel was broken. the pillows on our king size bed were like throw pillows. I mean like half the size they should have been… and they were VERY smelly! they needed to be replaced! When we were there last the landscaping was really beautiful… flowers and nicely kept grounds. This time it was dirt and I mowed grass. the entrance had some kind of weird coating… it and the parking lot needed to be resurfaced. I absolutely hate leaving this kind of review… but people need to know what they are getting into when the choose this hotel.

Good place if you’re looking for a place to lie your head down to get some sleep.

This property is OLD and obviously needs updating . Threadbare carpets, moldings coming off, rust around toilets and a strong musty smell. I gave 3 stars because the staff was very kind and helpful. I won’t be returning .
