La Quinta by Wyndham Cleveland Macedonia

The staff waa very nice and helpful. The beds were super hard and di not have any queen bed options for a double room. The hot tub was discusting. It waa veey foamy and that foam waa brown. The pump room for the pool was proped open.

Fridge didn't close properly. Pool was cloudy (needed chemicals) hot tub was foamy (needed chemicals) had to go to front desk to get pool towels.

Pool and hot tub were pretty gross looking and foamy. Part of the reason we picked this spot was for the pool but didn’t really get to use it because it was so dirty looking.

We booked this hotel, because it had a hot-tub and pool.. except we did not use the amenities because they were disgustingly dirty. *The Hot-Tub had Filthy Dirty SCUM rings from not being cleaned or treated properly .. there were floating feces in the main pool. There was Black Mold on indoor pool Windows *Causing Severe Health Risks to me and others, because I already have a weekend immune system and am on respiratory medications this is a Massive Health Threat.. the whole Poole area should have been Isolated and sealed off to prevent spores from spreading and from indigestion. *The indoor carpeting was all stained and disgusting and had not been vacuumed. The doors were filthy, the room floors had not been cleaned. There was accumulated dirt surrounding all the edges of the room floors and ontop of all the baseboards, & extremely thick dust on electrical plugs sockets. And the furniture had not been moved for a deep clean in a very long time…! We requested another room and were told No other rooms available..! The TV remote didn’t work, and there was no maintenance person available to come to the room and fix it. The rooms ventilation systems were crusted with disgusting black filth. The vending machines were out of order. The front desk was not helpful .. except to supply batteries for the TV remote which I had to make a trip to the lobby desk again, to ask for, since the Room phone was busted and did not work. Breakfast areawas uncleanly.. Terrible !!

Easy parking

The pool and hot tub were gross. The hot tub had floating brown stuff all in it. There was dirt on the floor in the room, a huge stain going down the side of the nightstand and dust throughout

Hot tub could have been hotter and it suds up like someone put detergent in it. But it was still nice. Pool area could be spruced up.

Property was clean, conveniently located by shopping plazas and in a safe neighborhood. Only concern was pool and hot-tub should be cleaned frequently.

The proximity to Cuyahoga National Park was great. The pool is not being properly maintained; it was cold and incredibly cloudy. The washer and dryer on our floor did not properly function.

We arrived at 12:30 am. I had prechecked in online, but then had to check in AGAIN - show ID. The bed linens were dirty and one bed literally had a hole in the bottom sheet. You could see the mattress and it was gross - there were mosquitos in the room. The property was older, and we will not be staying there again.

Absolutely filthy inside! We arrived and checked out minutes later because of how dirty the pillow cases and sheets were.

Check in was fine, but the room was not cleaned well at all. The carpet had trash on it (like a candy wrapper we picked up amongst hair and other debris). There was also hair on some of the ‘clean’ towels and bedding. We checked in later and heat decided to make do after traveling all day. This LaQuinta is old and in need of remodel and is NOT the quality of others we’ve stayed in. Doors are rickety too and our room door had to be shoved closed. Our “suite” was really just two old connecting rooms and one room had a pull out sofa with a mattress with holes in it. No sheets, just a blanket and a pillow with eyelashes (not ours!) on it. Overall, a crappy experience and nothing was addressed except they gave us two new towels.

Pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see in it. Clumps of hair floating around. Hot tub has slime built up all over inside edge. Both of our beds had blood and other unidentifiable stains on the bedspreads, sheets and bed liner. Bathroom has dirt built up in corners and smear/dirt marks all over walls. Towels had clumps of hair on them. Hallway carpet’s extremely dirty and dirty handprints all over in the elevator

Carpet in hallways was filthy. Showerhhead had mold and bathroom fan vent was covered with thick layer of dust.

The room was not clean at all. I found an old grilled hot dog and a chocolate-covered ice cream cone on the floor. The carpet was dirty and I keep my shoes on so that says a lot. Despite being a non-smoking room, it smelled strongly of smoke. The overall cleanliness and condition were far below standard, and the customer service was disappointing. I had booked for two nights but chose to leave after the first. The room did not meet my expectations and was a complete waste of money.

This was a disgusting hotel. I haven't slept nor even a minute. I showed up for a concert with my husband so we didn't check the room before heading out and when we can back late in the night we realize:: this is the hotel that people live in. The mattress is covered in stains. There are rips I'm scared and this has been terrible!!!! There is an overwhelming smell of mold or mildew.

Hotel has really gone down. Carpet was dirty and had a funny smell.. the free breakfast lacked. I have stayed at this hotel many times but it is time to find another one

While my stay was convenient the cleanliness of my room and hallway was below standard. I reported it to the front desk and was offered to be placed in another room because the cleaning staff was gone for the day. The next day all that was done was the bed were made up and fresh towels were brought up nothing was clean. I will not be booking this location again

The room air conditioner didn’t work

Comfortable, but dated and in need of some maintenance.

Pros: Convenient to highway, affordable, nice indoor pool, and excellent selection for included breakfast. Cons: Our room seemed to need some minor repairs- missing pieces of wall on exposed corners, the carpet tack strip where the tile transitions to carpet was exposed and my children kept stepping on the tacks. The beds were uncomfortable, sagging to the center. This is inconsistent with our previous stays at this location where the rooms were well maintained and beds were comfortable.

Hall leading to room was dirty. Hallway smelled like vomit. Refrigerator worked but didn’t cool enough for safe storage of food. Hallways were noisy at night.

Our toilet was broken. Each time we flushed it, we had to reach into the tank and had to manually replace the stopper in order for the tank to fill. Pathetic!

We had a suite and was surprised that one of the doors to the hall would not close all the way. Only the deadbolt kept the door from opening from the outside. you could still peek in through the crack and we did not like that. We were four women traveling.

Bed was to soft.

The hotel is in need of an overhaul. Very out dated, very dark, messy room, and air conditioning was not turned on until we got to the room. It was ridiculously hot. Sad, its a great location but not worth the money.

A dumb thing to complain about, but the windows in the guest rooms are really old and noisy and cold (I can't imagine staying at the hotel in the winter!). The hotel is near a highway and across the street from a gas station so there was quite a bit of road noise around us.....I had to check our window more than once to make sure that it was closed all of the way - there was that much sound coming through. The hotel itself was fine -- convenient for what we needed - and the common area seemed to be updated and clean enough.......

The staff here is top notch! They were helpful and polite. The hotel is very clean and they decorated it so nicely for the holidays. The breakfast could use work, but it was adequate and did the trick.

Check in staff member was friendly and efficient. The price was good and they accommodated our pets at no charge. Bedding,towels and mattresses were great. Our room had some dusty areas ,could use a thorough cleaning but most areas were clean and comfortable. Breakfast is advertised as starting at 6am but things were not fully ready then. It was good,basic LaQuinta food. I would stay here again.

There was a glitch in the system that booked me for October 3, not the fourth, I got a text message, acknowledging my stay, which I had not completed at that time the morning of October 4. I called the front desk and explained to them that I had booked it for the fourth not the third she told me it was not her fault and not her problem and told me she was not going to do anything to make it right. Told me to contact Expedia, which I did, and then she refused to answer five phone calls from them. Whoever the owner or manager is of this location needs trained regarding customer service.

Will never stay here again. I was in the hotel business for 6 years as a supervisor and this place has the worst customer service except for the poor gentleman that was working by himself on a Saturday night checkin. We were offered an out as there was no tv and should have taken it. I still have yet to receive my credit for no tv. The manager should not be in her position, snottiest young lady with 0 phone etiquette. Hotel need a thorough cleaning as dirts was in every corner everywhere. I’ve stayed at laquintas and this is by far the worst. The general manager and owner need to get a handle on things. Also don’t know what they were trying to cover up but the was a box of arm and hammer carpet deodorizer in the lobby. We didn’t eat breakfast there as the uncleanliness made us nervous for the food.

We arrived very late and the night clerk was very nice and accommodating

It was a really nice hotel to stay at to get away, but the downside is when i got there to check into my room i wasn’t helped for 20 minutes, i kept ringing the bell and all and they weren’t even behind the counter they were somewhere in the hotel. I think maybe if they hired 2 night workers it would be better so someone is at the front desk 24/7 because it’s kinda scary anyone could’ve jumped behind that desk and did stuff.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is that while we were there, there was a group of people in the pool / hot tub area being incredibly obnoxious, loud, screaming, running, doing cannonballs etc. the entire time. We weren’t able to use the pool at all due to this group of people. We mentioned it to the staff a couple of times and nothing was done. In the past, hotels I’ve stayed at took pool safety much more serious and weren’t afraid to tell people to calm down or get out of the pool… this was disappointing because the reason we picked this hotel over others in the area was for the pool and hot tub. Besides that, it was a nice hotel but we will not stay here again. Almost $300 to not even be able to enjoy the amenities is a bit much.

The staff were amazing at this property. I do not usually take the time to write a review as I travel often and am rather busy but when service is above and beyond I do make sure to give praise. Priya at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and Theo the head of maintenence was amazing as well as the housekeeping team. I come to Ohio annually and will make sure to return!!

The front desk was rude. When ask for towels not only for my room but the pool I was told her were out and they aren’t washing any. The next morning I was told there was no milk for my cereal I had to ask four times.

This place is a pretty good place to stay it's right off Friday near 271. Rooms were very clean and a quiet. Also convenient to some restaurants within walking distance. MGM casino is about 3 miles away as well.

Beautiful waterfall and close view point! Convenient location to rest after Cuyahoga park visit. Gas station and food options across the road and next door. Very nice people to alert me the keys that fell out of my pocket outside eatery. Highly recommend.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly at check-in and check-out. The rooms were clean and modern. It was nice to stay at a hotel that did not have a hallways or a room with a bad smell at a reasonable price. Its in a good location that close to lots of shopping and restaurants. I stay at a lot of hotels with my kids AAU sports and this one was the best this season!

Close to National Park

We spent a night here after hiking at Cuyahoga Falls. The hotel was average. It did the trick for a night & our room appeared to be clean. The continental breakfast was nice. We had a room in the back of the hotel, that overlooked the Knights Inn Motel. This made for good people watching but a lot of shady things go on there. I would avoid walking in that area especially at night.

It was clean, well maintained and close to Cleveland without the huddle and bustle of a city. Also felt really safe. My husband is super picky about hotels and he loved it here too. Great value for the cost of a stay

Good price clean easy access to highway

The location is very convenient for going to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The room is clean, but the hallway has strong smell.

Easy access to Ohio Turnpike. Reasonable rate and enjoyable stay.

Hotel very nice, clean, friendly staff. Sketchy neighborhood and mediocre breakfast Maybe add some real oatmeal with brown sugar instead of the instant kind, with toppings like nuts and berries. Also more fresh fruits like bananas.

We were super happy with our stay. The heat in the pool area could've been a little warmer than 55°! The breakfast area could be a little larger, but the food was good!

On Sunday morning the breakfast area was clean and the attendant was very aware of the needs of her customers

I read previous reviews that complained about cleanliness- I found no problems at all. The room was clean and in overall excellent condition. The facility appears very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is C- (scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy), but the coffee was fresh and flavorful (B/B ). I would stay here again.

Room was dirty, dusty, and smelled. Hair in the shower, layer of dust on TV stand, dirty carpet. Pool was open but clearly not being filtered, couldn't even see the bottom. Hot tub was clean though. Breakfast was below sub par, watery scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy that the biscuits were so hard you could break a window with and gravy that was below room temperature. This was all right after kitchen opened up for breakfast.

Some areas need to be updated, but the lobby is nice, as is the breakfast area and pool. The rooms are serviceable and clean. Convenient location. I would suggest new pillows. Breakfast was solid!

Nice, clean, friendly staff, good variety for breafast. Only complaint was the chlorine in the pool and hottub was alot.

We stayed three nights. The price was good, but you get what you pay for. Not as nice as a Hampton or Holiday Inn Express, but better than Motel 6, Roadway, Red Roof and others. They do allow pets. Never had an issue with hearing barking or other pet noises. The hot breakfast was decent. They usually had eggs and a meat. Somedays they had sausage gravy and biscuits. They also had a waffle maker along with cereal, yogurt, oatmeal packets and mini muffins. The room was decent. the toilet was kind of low compared to newer hotels. The hallway carpet looked older and stained, and the walls were marked up from the luggage carts. They have a whirlpool and small swimming pool. When my wife was it the pool in the afternoon (we had it to ourselves), she noticed hair floating around in it, which made her get out. Maybe the filters were not working well? They also do not do daily housekeeping of the rooms. If you need clean towels, shampoo, or soap, you can ask the front desk to provide. This wasn't a big deal for us. Might be to others. The freezer in the room was set on 4 (Range 1-7 I think). We put stuff in, in the evening and some of it was frozen by early morning. You might want to check the frig setting if you plan on using it. There is a good Mexican restaurant right across the street, which is pretty good. You are also only 5 minutes away from several restaurants and a shopping area. If you are looking to save a little $ on a hotel, I would recommend it.
