TLDR - if you want a cheap place to lay down while in Davis, this will do. Do not get there with any expectation. It’s mostly an “extended stay” motel with the vast majority of occupants living here year-round. They think they own the place and will be loud, smoke, drink, etc. in front of your door. The room was superficially clean (don’t look under the beds, it’s disgusting - and the floors are super slimy) and is dated, but the beds were comfortable enough. I saw some rooms being nicely remodeled so you might get lucky. Lots of cockroaches initially in the room, but didn’t see any more after killing the ones I saw the first night. The smell is… well I got used to it. Good water pressure but the shower curtain was flimsily attached. No shampoo provided, and the towels were thin and on their last breath. Microwave in the room, but no fridge. Lots of young kids live here so I think it’s fine to be with children. The pool looked like it was regularly cleaned but no one was using it. Staff at the reception was chill… when there’s someone there. Very often there’s no one. I’ve been to much worse places that were more expensive but also to many places that were nicer and cheaper.

Seems like families live here full time. Everyone was nice but there was screaming and so so many children running around. Not a lot of parking either

Stayed 3 nights

Back in April I made a reservation for 1 bedroom with 2 beds for 4 adult guests. I called in may as well as closer to my reservation date to make sure that everything was okay with my reservation and was told every time that everything was okay. When I went to check in on the day of my reservation, I was met with the news that there was no room for us. They said that they had 17 other reservations but no rooms to accommodate them, this meaning that they had extremely overbooked. After a long back and forth conversation about this outrageous situation they said they could do me a favor of placing all 4 of us in a 1 bed room, or give me a refund, but that I would have to leave and find some other place to stay. The woman was so rude when talking to us and made it seem like everything was our fault. Because there was no other place to stay we had to stay in a 1 bed room and share it between the 4 of us. The room, towels, and bedsheets were not clean at all and when asked for a clean set of sheets and towels got a set that was just as dirty if not more than the last. There were many bugs in the room, and the walls and surfaces were all extremely dirty.

Checkin was surlry.. Room looked like a 3rd world country version of a hotel. Lost power at 10pm. Never returned. No hot water. Nobdy around to report problems to. Miserable place. Expedia should immediately remove from their database.
