We were in building three on the second floor, and there are not elevators so we had to carry our suitcases up and down ourselves. Sometimes finding the right place to turn into the parking lot can be tricky. It’s right next to the paint shop.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It is pet-friendly and near everything. The virtual assistant in the front was so helpful and kind and I never had any issues getting support if it was needed. Also their gym partnership is AMAZING and it was an added perk to have breakfast included!

Overall good stay for a few nights. There are no elevators and the Kiosk check in felt cold. I am all for technology and absolutely love all my apps and the convenience. However, the hotel industry is just not the place for kiosk check in. You lose the personalization and the ability to wholeheartedly speak to individual and ask about local things to do. Other than that the place was clean and the room was great.

The property was clean and the staff was very nice. We were able to use the gym next door which was top notch. The pool was clean and refreshing. The only reason I did not give a five was the continental breakfast was sorely lacking. A McDonald’s was just down the street so it was fine. It was the best rate around and would recommend it.

The rooms have been upgraded and very clean. The property is large and a ton of parking. I love that you can go to the fitness center next to the property to do your workout. It was very quiet. The front desk person I dealt with was really nice. The only weird thing is the check jn kiosk if someone isn't at the front desk. It isn't far from UC Davis which helps if you don't want to fight the parking, bikes, and amount of people downtown Davis. The only down part is there are no restaurants (besides McDonalds) right by the hotel. However; there are a lot of wonderful places in Davis.

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The toilet had blood and urine dried on it, there was one towel and I had to take toilet paper from the service cart - a service cart that didn’t have anybody at our around it. Zero staff available to help if help is needed. Walls are so thin you can hear people having conversations in their rooms. Tv kept shutting off and restarting every twenty minutes or so. Wi-Fi was horrible.

Quiet, convenient location for our overnight stop when driving to Oregon. This was our third stay here and some standards seem to be dropping. Hall and stair carpets looked dirty, our bath tub did not drain and the breakfast offerings were lacking compared to previous visits (no yoghurts or bananas).

We came for a family funeral, intended to stay for three nights but had to leave a day early. When we first checked in, the accessible room for my elderly parents didn’t have grab bars in the tub as described when I reserved the room. When I brought this to staff’s attention, the manager personally and cheerfully made it right with an appropriate replacement room. Then, when we needed to leave early, again the manager was very gracious and helpful and refunded us the unused nights. I’ve stayed here before and will again. Very happy overall.

Hot water ran out on the second night of our two-night stay. We returned from an all-day event at 10:00PM, I reported the situation immediately and was told it was a "general" problem and that the manager was coming to address it. No other remedies were offered, including a transfer of rooms or a time frame on when the issue would be fixed. It continued until the next day, which I reported, again with no remedy for the situation and no manager on-site for the duration of our stay. My children were competing all day on Saturday and unable to shower afterward.

This property operates with a "guy in a box" method of staffing. If you need anything you have to talk to a guy somewhere far away, then that person makes a phone call to the guy right next to you to get anything done. Local staff seemed out of touch, far away guy just made everything awkward and simple problems hard to solve. Very poor and lazy approach to customer service. I won't be staying in Days Inn anymore as long as this is a thing.

The one thing that I did not like at all was the check-in process. I arrived at 5:30 pm and there were no receptionists. You are checked in through a kiosk via a Zoom-like interaction. It was a very strange experience: impersonal and not safe. While I was checking in another person came into the lobby. I am a woman and he was a man. You are expected to put your ID on the kiosk to be scanned and your credit card (even though you used it for your reservation) in a credit card reader. I did not feel safe pulling out my ID and credit card in a lobby with no one else present other than a stranger. If someone was aware of this procedure, what would dissuade them from lying in wait with a mask on to enter the building and attack or rob you? There was not a locked or monitored entry that could dissuade people from showing up in disguise. I guess the one thing positive is that my murder would be recorded and hopefully the person on the kiosk computer screen would call 911 for me. Too risky to recommend or return.
