SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown

Great vibes in this place. Tip: If you’re looking for a standard sized pool with all day sun exposure, this is NOT your place. Mini pool with sun 1-2pm because of the building blocking the sun. Pictures are deceiving. Staff is super friendly, just wish they would offer Greenville maps and ask if guests need any help with the area as we checked in. The breakfast was a full breakfast and the restaurant attached had good food. The hotel is central to a lot of restaurants and pretty walking.

Had the best time here. Definitely recommend smells amazing in the hotel lobby. The breakfast buffet was delicious. And Oak and Honey had the best drinks and chill vibe.

Reasonably priced hotel right in downtown. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous. They have one of the nicest hotel gyms I have used. We did not use the pool, but it also looked wonderful!

One of the BEST Springhill Suites I've ever stayed in! Beautiful accommodations! Be forewarned: Outdoor pool is exceptionally small. Breakfast was amazing!

We loved the hotel, and staff. Everything was wonderful except that on a Saturday night you could not get anything to eat. Bar open but kitchen closed??? Makes absolutely no sense and such a lack of empathy for travelers in the cold who just wanted a small bite or a sandwich. We were told to order at sullys. All the members of the bar also agreed it made no sense not to have the kitchen open later on a weekend HOLIDAY weekend!!! Disappointing

Be aware there is no on-site parking, you will need to pay to park in the garage across the street, the rate is reasonable.

Everything was great. Public parking garage next to the hotel is only $7 a day. Save money and park yourself.

Excellent stay! Just a few blocks from Main Street and the Peace Center. Service was wonderful. Dinner at the hotel was outstanding!

The bar/restaurant was closed and the pool was closed for maintenance. We were upset but not the end of the world. Tons of close restaurants. Hotel was clear and comfy

Room wasn’t clean the every day like they said. We had to call to have the room Cleaned up. Basically feel like post Covid people stopped caring about good service. Which is sad given I need a solid hotel for my monthly trip to Greenville.

Cleanliness

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is beautiful and close to everything in downtown Greenville. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. The only complaint is that the room was not vacuumed well and we found popcorn on the floor from previous guests.

The hotel was beautiful and clean the only problem I encountered was with housekeeping. I stayed there 7 days 6 nights and they only cleaned and restocked my room one time until I had to call down the day before we left to ask for more more towels and toilet paper and to also clean out the overflowing little trash can we had.

Parking was either valet in the public lot beside hotel or you park it in the public lot beside the hotel. Wasn’t a big deal but for the price of the room, you shouldn’t have to pay for parking. Along with this, we stayed multiple nights & the room was never cleaned during our stay. Breakfast was good.

The Hotel was very nice, the staff was very nice and I was put in one of the Handicap-accessible rooms which was probably bigger than normal. The free breakfast was great and the area for breakfast was huge. Only two minor things, both in the bathroom - there was either pink makeup of cleaning product powder on the wall near the toilet and I could see the ceiling paint just starting to peel near the shower where there had apparently been a prior leak from the room above.

Loved this hotel. Very clean ,nicely decorated. We enjoyed The small but beautiful pool area. Very nice employees. My only complaint, we had dried blood stains on our sheets. I called the office and they sent someone right up to change all the bedding! However, they didn’t offer a discount or anything to rectify.

Great property, but the main issue we had was that the bathroom door is not solid, it is opaque and so the light from the bathroom can be seen through the door. If anyone uses the restroom in the middle of the night, it is as if someone turns on all of the lights in the room it is so bright through the door. This is the reason we would not stay here again, even though everything was great.

Corner room was amazing! All exterior walls were floor to ceiling windows! Very cool

The hotel was spacious, clean, and pretty, and the staff was wonderful. Great breakfast as well. My only complaint was the room design. The bathroom is situated directly across from the beds and has a barn door with frosted glass. If someone uses the bathroom in the night the light is like a beacon shining on anyone in the bed.

My room was perfect except for the lingering noise from the heating unit

The property was in a great place, and it was a really nice hotel, but the air intake in the room was super loud and never turned off. Because of that I didn’t get a good nights sleep, and that’s the most important thing at a hotel.

Very nice rooms with electric blinds (its the little things!), large area and did not feel cramped, excellent staff and very friendly, nice sitting areas with gas logs that were very pleasant in the evening.

This hotel was beautiful. Room very spacious. Everything was spotless. Loved my short stay.

A bit small to be called a "suite" but we made do with the space available. Quick check in and friendly staff.

The property was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the dining area was well staffed and clean. The only thing we did not love about the hotel was the noise from the hall, you could clearly hear all the conversations and movement in the hallway.

Bathroom had clear door so night time trip would up the whole room. Why would someone design it that way?

We have stayed at this location many times. It is always our choice when visiting Greenville. Location is awesome! Always a great time and very friendly service. However, on our day of check out, housekeeping busted into our room at 10:30am without knocking. We also had the “Still Sleeping” card hanging on the outside of the door. This has never happened before but really caught us off guard.

We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed until this last stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, however our check in process was upsetting and honestly embarrassing. We thought that it was odd when the employee verbally stated we pre-paid with a third party, this should have been our first sign. There was no mention of the room type we booked, keys were just handed to us and we were told where the elevators were (even though we already knew this from previous stays). When we went to our assigned room, it was 2 queens that overlooked the roof and a wall...probably the worst room the hotel had to offer. We went downstairs to try and get the room we paid for and were told again that we booked through a third party, the hotel oversold and we were one of the guests they bumped. I received an email that morning from Marriott (as I am a Marriott member) confirming my stay AND my room choice. When I tried to show this to the employee at the desk he called over his manager. Again, I was told there was nothing that they could do and then proceeded to offer me valet parking or a free beer... We were meeting a friend of ours who was staying in the same hotel, booked through the same method and is also a Marriott member. He was told upon check in (which was after we had checked in) that they overbooked and offered to put him in the connecting hotel. He was given a beautiful King suite. I can only speculate why he was offered this room and myself a beer.

I was just a bit irritated and disappointed. The hotel overall is beautiful, I loved the lobby and bar. The outdoor space was beyond amazing. I was disappointed with the check in. I paid months back for a King Size bed + suite for my significant other and I to celebrate a big anniversary and I wanted to surprise him with a really nice hotel. When I was getting checked in the worker advised that all they had was a double queen room. I paid months ago for a King suite and I asked if there was any price difference I would be getting back for the double queen and he said no because I already paid for it… but my reservation was for a king suite. It was disappointing to me to have planned this big surprise for months and have the icing on the cake with a beautiful king suite but had to be in the double queen because it was all they had. It just didn’t make much sense to me at all. I showed him my confirmation with hotels.com for the king and it just didn’t matter.

Loved the location for a quick nights stay in Greenville. Loved being able to walk to the falls and multiple dining options.

the stay at the hotel was wonderful! the staff was really nice and shoutout to the valet boys. it was super comfy and felt like home. the hotel room itself was super clean and nice. not to mention it’s only two blocks from downtown. i’ll definitely be back

Best breakfast!

We stayed 2 nights on our way home from a longer trip. During check- in. customer service was very friendly. The hotel looked very clean and was in a nice location. Our room was nice, but had a half used box of tissues and 1 roll of toilet paper. They did bring tissues and toilet paper on request. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and during the night it was very noisy in the hallway. The pool was WAY too small. We did not use it because it was too crowded. Can we talk about the breakfast? The sausage was cold, the eggs were flavorless and the pancakes tasted awful. Both days they offered oatmeal. We were in S. Carolina, I would think there would be grits somewhere. My husband skipped breakfast the second day. I tried but just had coffee. I was a tad bit disenchanted.
