Hidden resort and parking fees. Not quite sure how this place can even get away with calling themselves a resort. It doesn't even come close.number one The pools are the size of a postage stamp and are disgusting. The bathroom was disgusting.It needs to be redrywalled from damage. There was no hot water the entire three days that we were there. They charge you seventeen dollars a day for parking.When there's only two parking spaces for approximately ten rooms. If the garage was not open for free parking due to the hurricane, I would have had nowhere to park. I was provided 2 towels for a room with 2 people for 4 day stay. When I asked the front desk for extra bath towels and washcloths. Because we only got one washcloth. By the way, 4 2people, I was told it would be there.They never came even though I contacted the desk three times. Customer service is horrible. The grounds are horrible.The room was decent clean. However, what is the point of having a kitchenette if you have absolutely no dishes, no utensils, no coffee cups or anything, to make use of. The microwave barely heated up my food.It took five minutes to heat up a bowl of noodles that I had left over from a restaurant. The only reason they get one star is because of the location.The beach is beautiful and only a short walk away, and so is the boardwalk. Oh, and despite me being there for disaster evacuation due to hurricane milton, they still charged a thirty five dollars a night pet fee!

The only downfall of the property is that you have to pay $18 a day for parking because there is no free parking for visitors staying at the hotel

Well it was portrayed one way and was totally different room detail on the room I got. First says it has pool... well the "pool" is part of the adjacent properties... second the room has coffe maker and toaster and grill..... with no outlet for it to work???? at the Seagull so you know. tiny room in general. The pics shown in Expedia are the best shots of other hotels they manage not the "Seagull" Ok plus there is breakfast... yep some breads, or bagels, coffee and fake juice,o hard boilded egg also.... and thats at another building... front desk is 24 hrs and has a nice little shop for necesities. My room had not night table or table light... so its either black out or interigation level light on the room fan. By the way room did feel clean. Again only two pics shown are of the Seagull so no other pics apply and its really small. Room feels like a converted storage area. Dont believe the kicthen pics my applieance had no outlets to connect to????? Expedia this is on YOU for not vetting some of the pics !!!

The great part of it, it was less than 2 blocks walking distance from the beach. However, there was parking fee, and another extra fee, increasing my stay. If I knew in advance, I would be able to geat a slightly nicer place with all that included.

While it is an older setting. It is in an amazing location. The resort fee of $35.00 and another $15.00 for parking is a bit excessive.

Property was dirty. Extra fees for everything-parking fee, resort fees, security deposit. Pools shouldn’t even be listed. One is extremely hot 100 degrees of bacteria infested water one is a construction site other 2 had a thick layer of film on top. Breakfast was Hi-c with Frosted Flakes and pre packaged cinnamon rolls and a line of 30 people and only 8 metal tables to sit. So plan on standing to eat. Breakfast hours are only one hour 8-9. Kitchen had zero supplies if you want cups silverware or plates please call front office to borrow. PS no phone in room to call so need to use your cell. Room was hot because small window AC and it didn’t help that one window pane was popped out. Wanted to loop leave after check it but they have a zero refund policy. G- wonder why! Wish I could attach the pictures I have to prove how gross this place is.

Great place pool area was ridiculous with lots music and partying couldn't enjoy it

We were excited to stay at Holleywood Beach Seagull after reading such positive reviews, but we were quickly disappointed. While our room initially appeared clean, we quickly noticed bedbugs. The staff was understanding and offered us another room. However, this room had moldy fruit found under the mattress and cockroaches in the cupboard. We were issues a refund for our parking pass and security deposit, but THEY REFUSED TO REFUND OUR ROOM RATE, which, to us, is unacceptable given the conditions of the room(s). We were put out for the night, and had to find a room elsewhere. While the hotel cannot control who books with them, the other patrons there that night made us feel quite unsafe. There was a lot of yelling and threats being made, along with illicit drugs being used outside of the rooms. We booked through Expedia, and Holleywood Beach Seagull refused to release a refund as our reservation was "non refundable" with "no exceptions". Overall, DO NOT recommend this hotel, even if the price is right (our room on a Wednesday night was about $115).

The room was dirty. The fridge had overleft foods on it. Breakfast was a joke.

Not so good cockroaches and stains

The room was filthy, doors light switches dirty. tile paint peeling and bed is dented in the middle, mattress needs replacement. My back hurt after chkout. Paint retouch are needed in all areas. Odor in room smells like cheap fabuloso. Please get Ecolab products

Room was ok . The only problem was that the bed had bedbugs. The first night the bedbugs bit me a little, the second night got worse that’s when I realized the problem . Reported to office they offered another room but I left the next morning.

Had to find my room by myself which was a bit far from reception after 10 minutes if looking for it. The first night there was a roach in my bed. The sheets were dirty as well as the pillows as after one night my face started to break out.

Everything. Was alright and then I found a couple roaches in the room. I let the front desk know upon my checkout. It's a great location close to the beach. The convenience store is alright. A little expensive for some peoples. That's on vacation when they can go to a store right down the road. The breakfast dining hall can do a little better.

Room is very clean, Older near beachfront property very well maintained, staff was helpful. Would recommend.

Spider webs and roaches were visible in the room. Deteriorated towels. Furniture broken or missing parts. Locks was not working correctly.

The location is 10/10! Buildings, rooms, decor are all old and ran down. Room was clean. Sharon, in housekeeping, was great!

Just realized that the inn/hotels in Ft Lauderdale area shows a nice picture but they will assign you in a different room/location. I was given Ocean Beach. Still close to the beach, but not front. Bathroom doesn't look nice: tiles look dirty because of the design and color (excess from a various construction materials that put together --not matching), toilet moves when you set/get up), air conditioning is loud, and door is not safe (seems loose and won't turn to lock, but if you get out you can't open it unless you are very strong to force it.

The good is the closeness to the beach and that it is clean . They AC is very old and did not cool enought the room. It was very uncomfortable. Doors and windows need to be replaced.

The location is perfect. Paying for extra fees like parking fees, deposit and hotel fees above what I already paid online is a scam, and the online price was not cheap. Having a kitchen but no plates or pots is useless who travels with their kitchen equipment?

Broadwalk is great. Check in a slow process. WiFi didn’t work

I know you don't go to watch tv but it's nice to be able to use. It didn't work and wouldn't access my services. The walls are paper thin. We were supposed to have a queen size bed but there's no way it was a queen. The faucet on the kintchenette and the shower were broken, usable, but broken. It was close to the beach though.

Front desk ladies were very kind and helpful. My room wasn’t ready and they offered an upgraded room for an extra charge by the beach Oceanside. I like the room equipped with a kitchenette however there was no pots or even plastic cups in the rooms. I was told that those items would be available upon request. I understand the pots, but plastic cups?? Even in the bathroom to brush your teeth, should have been available. The place is great for a quick getaway nevertheless I would come back.

Absolute dump. Check in took 45 minutes and staff check people in for 20 different properties. Arrived and 6 pm and did not get in room until 7 pm. Rooms are dumps! NOTHING like the photos.

The stay here was amazing. The front desk representative Maria made our experience one to remember. She was extremely attentive and understanding she made sure to provide us the upmost respect and phenomenally customer service I will book here all the time just because of the type of service rendered by that young lady. She truly loves what she goes and she does it with the biggest smile. Great Job HBH!

Our stay was okay but the front office is always busy and the wait can be very long to check in, ask questions, key issues, etc. That was frustrating. Staff was mainly nice but a few came across as rude.

Front desk lady has the worst attitude and is rude as can be. The other guy didn’t get off his phone during the entire check in. They have parking passes yet you still get tickets for parking in their spots. The internet didn’t work the entire stay and that sucked because the tvs require internet to work. The pools are all dirty and not maintained. I am just overall disappointed in this stay

Our stay at this place was absolutely horrible from checking in waiting over an hour to being charged couple of hidden fees like a resort fee that place is not a resort, after my 6 year old and I got the keys we walked for dinner when we came back the ac and the WiFi weren’t working . After being inside for about 30 minutes or so there were a couple pleople drinking and hanging outside it’s started to get very loud to the point my daughter was scared I tried to called the office several times no answer, wanted to called the police but I didn’t because I didn’t want to scared my daughter even more was awake all night waiting for my daughter to wake up and get out of that place. When I walked out of the door I found condoms wrap right in front of my door honestly nothing else needs to be said when I was checking out and voice out my concerns to the lady at the office all she said was sorry this place is a joke and staff was very unprofessional. Wanted my money back and they refused to.

The staff was very friendly. Fast check in. Continental breakfast from 8 to 9, The man and woman that assisted in setting up were excellent Donna I forget the Spanish guys name but also excellent.Close to the beach and restaurants very convenient location just steps away from the beach

Donna that serves the breakfast in the morning is very accommodating every month when I visit. Front desks excellent. Sharon housekeeper also very good.

Great service

Very bad experience. Check in was at 4 Pm with no exemptions and there was a line for the check in with about 20 persons. Customer service horrible. No space to park available, the second day we realized that it was because same hotel workers sale the parking to random people in the street wanting to go to the beach. Property old and dirty. Other important thing, they have a sign in front desk asking you for a 5 start review and they give you a beach bag. Very expensive.

Great location walking distance to Hollywood Beach. The boardwalk has all the food drink and entertainment you could ask for. Loved the marine breezes. Will come back in the summer when it’s really hot. :-). The bathtub drain needs new hardware, the slow drain was annoying

This is a great budget hotel. It’s not a fancy hotel if that’s what you are looking for but the inside of the rooms are upgraded and smelled like bleach when we got there which is always a plus to me! The “continental breakfast” was a no go for us however. If you like a banana and a granola bar it’s fine. They did have cereal and some toast and peanut butter and cream cheese HOWEVER they are just big tubs that you share out of and that was a no go for us. The beds were some of the best beds we have slept in and we have stayed all over the place. Parking is expensive but otherwise it was a great stay and right on the boardwalk, we will stay again.

Breakfast was a joke. Old bananas and cereal and bread. They added a $16 resort fee per day which made it NOT that good a deal. Staff had poor communication skills.

The hotel's location and rate are very good. However, the breakfast period is too short for hundreds of guests from different hotels. The check staff member standing at the tiny buffet entrance was not happy to do this job. There was no welcome, no smile, as if we had made a mistake by coming to breakfast. The drain in the bathtub was clogged and water was accumulating in it. The drain had no cover and was pitch black. The ceramic floor in the bathroom was broken and missing parts. A drawer had no handle. The security lock on the room door was broken. The soft drink machine in that building would not work with either cash or credit cards. The prices of the soft drinks were not clear anyway.

No coffee in the room!!! Coffee maker but no little coffee packets!!?

Everything is in bad condition, old and not as it looks in the photos. The breakfast that is included every day is only served with bread, coffee and banana.
