Loved the evening s’mores and enjoyed the fire pits . Great place for 3 night stay with two small children . Lots of games to play in attractive terrace . The hotel was situated by the roadside. The room I had reserved faced the road, so I figured it might be noisy and decided to upgrade to a golf course view room instead which was nice and quiet. The nearby pool was small and crowded, as was the hot tub so we couldn’t go in there.

The property was huge, has two heated pools and hot tubs, fire pits for roasting smores, and family games like ping pong and bocce ball. There are also tennis courts and a golf course on site. It was a little hard to find our room, and the balcony was a little dusty but overall a great stay. Our room had vaulted ceilings, comfy beds and a very nice bathroom. Great place for families.

The property is very nicely kept loved the trees and views of golf course. Great location and excellent service from all staff. Very peaceful environment and loved the gym. Stay for anniversary and we will go back. Very pleased. I didn’t care for half a shower door. But overall I’m very satisfied. Thank you staff for your excellent service.

The resort itself was very nice and well maintained. However our stay in the Monterey Suite was disappointing. The room itself was not very clean in the sink and showers.There was sticky/dirty stains in both. Then we found black mold on the shower ceiling the day we were leaving. And when we told the manager she treated it very casually and passively. For what we paid for the room I would have expected a higher standard. I will not be staying here again.

I’ve really been avoiding writing this review as I know how it’s going to sound, but… The place was extremely dirty. I mean filthy dirty. The grime in the corners of the hallway was black and obviously built up over a looong time. The grout in the bathroom was black, but when you looked near the walls you could tell it was once white. There were greasy fingerprint smudges all over the glass slider and glass in the room. That being said the sheets seemed clean but obviously other areas were so neglected it detracted from everything else. It bothered me so much we checked out after 1 night and found a different hotel. We stayed at the Monterey Hyatt Regency for the Pebble Beach Food and Wine weekend. It’s a touristy place so I didn’t think the accommodations would be spectacular but when it costs over a $1000 for two nights I did expect a little bit more. The lobby and the grounds close to the lobby were nice but the rooms were very outdated and the carpets have to be at least 20 years old, dirty and musty. Our bed was caved in on one side and we did have some bugs in our bathroom. Our patio lead out to the parking lot which plays music but the speakers were all blown so the sound was unpleasant. I also did not like that our building door was propped open both days we were there. The have a keypass on them for safety and privacy so we had to keep closing them after the staff would leave them unlocked. Overall not a great experience and would pass on this property for future visits.

Spent 3 days here with wife and son. Highlights Close to the touristy places Tons of Pickleball courts and the provide paddles/ball. jacuzzi and pool are heated and nice! front desk is really nice. Lowlights Rooms are dated. We had a ground floor unit that gave us access to the pool out the sliding door. Parking was ok. Sometimes we couldn't park near our room.

I liked how close and convenient the property is to the wharf, Cannery Row and freeway. Our was fairly quiet even being next to the pool/hot tub. We were not a fan of the bed. It was most uncomfortable. It was too soft and made it difficult to roll over and the pillows flattened shortly after being laid on. The room was small. It really wasn’t anything exception considering the cost.

I’ve stayed here several times before and it’s one of my favorite. This time things seemed a little run down and in need of a remodel. Walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbors all night. Great amenities but our stay wasn’t five star like it has been in the past.

We booked and paid extra for a pool room, expecting the pool shown in the photos. However, we were unaware that there are two pools, and the one near our room is not the one depicted in the listing. This was not made clear at the time of booking. Additionally, while our room faces the pool, the other side faces the freeway, making it quite loud at night and affecting our sleep. We requested a room change at the front desk, but unfortunately, they were unable to locate a better room for us, which has been frustrating.

The exterior of the hotel looks very nice and inviting, but unfortunately, the experience was affected by the extremely thin walls. I could clearly hear conversations from the room next door—even when they were whispering. It made it hard to relax or get a good night's sleep. Soundproofing definitely needs improvement.

There is a parking fee and spa fee that in my opinion shoudve been included with the price since theyre about $20 each, thin walls and little insulation, so you could hear just about everything going on in the building and in the top floor.

Our favorite place to stay for so many reasons. The pool & hot tubs are perfect temperature. Love the full gym; They have cold towels to bring in the sauna/steam room. Golf course is really nice. Everyone that works here is so nice and helpful. The water bottles with filtered water everywhere is so convenient.

Poor service at checkin. There were some issues with my booking and the woman just shrugged, blamed Expedia and told me I was out of luck. Staff should be trained that third party agents are contracted by the hotel and that the hotel are responsible for listing errors. Some better customer service would be nice too, especially considering we spent $500 per night for our room.

I booked for 2 queen beds and came at the lobby to click in and was told no queen beds available so im getting 1king bed instead. Receptionist didnt show empathy with the frustration i felt after being told that there's nothing they can do coz the hotel is currently fully booked. Smile turned into frown and excitement turned into flat affect and that was the time they pffer compensation of $100 room credit. Ive staying at hyatt however this was by far the worst experience

Reserved a room with balcony. Upon check in, was advised that the room was unavailable. Told me to check out the following day and check back in and I would have the room I initially booked. So, I spent one night on ground level and checked out the following day. We had to pack all of our stuff and load back to the car and take our suitcases to the aquarium. I have two kids. So after the aquarium, went back to check in and they had no record of my reservation. I advised the staff member of what had happened the previous night and she was still unable to help me. I finally got to speak to a supervisor. She apologized and told me that the balcony room was unavailable. I told her what happened the previous night and she apologized again and gave me $150 Hyatt credit. Our vacation sucked and that’ll be the last time I’ll book anything with Hyatt.

It’s a great hotel for families. The pool was a hit. It was heated and the games area provided plenty of entertainment for our 2.5year old son. The first room we got checked in was smoked in. So we got another room. The patio let out to the parking lot which was not ideal with our child. Overall it’s quite noisy with the highway next to the hotel. The carpets are old and in some ways it feel like an old hotel. The tennis courts were unfortunately not accessibly due to a pickle ball tournament.

Also, there was no Roku remote in the room, so while we could access the home screen, we could not use the service…perhaps because the hotel wants to drive customers to $20 on-demand movies.

The Hyatt Regency and Spa in Monterey is a beautiful resort on sprawling acreage on the Del Monte Golf Course. I was there mid-week and the hotel was very quiet. The staff at the hotel were top notch. They were friendly and helpful, and kept me company on a solo visit to visit friends living in the area. It was Father’s Day weekend and by Friday night, the vibe at the hotel was different, yet still enjoyable, with families arriving for the weekend. By Saturday morning check out, the hotel was filled with families ready to celebrate. This is a kid and pet friendly resort with plenty of amenities to keep everyone in the family happy. The breakfast was outstanding, with either sit down meal or buffet options. I had shrimp scampi for dinner one evening and it was the best I’ve had. My only complaint was the hotel room doors slammed shut loudly.

Not what I expect out of a Hyatt Regency. No bottled water in room. No robes. Quilt too hot. Bathroom door barely slid shut. ADA room and the shower water leaked into the hallway. The room looked like it was last updated in the 80’s. Pool water was not in good condition. Dinner and drinks at the bar were good but there is no decent dining between breakfast and 5:00.

The room was just ok nothing special for the price you pay i expected it to be a bit more furnished. No drinking water, plain room. It is far from main entrance and we wanted to take an uber to a wedding but had to walk a distance up hill to main entrance to catch the uber, in dress clothes and high hill shoes.
