What guests think
At Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Leon, travellers consistently praise the unbeatable central location and often highlight friendly staff and convenient valet parking, while repeated critiques mention dated rooms, unreliable Wi-Fi, noise from the plaza or bar, and inconsistent cleanliness.
Several guests reported facility problems such as power outages, nonworking elevators, and an inoperative gym. Balcony rooms overlooking the square draw praise for views, though many find mattresses very firm and some bathrooms cramped. Dining feedback is split between enjoyable breakfasts and terrace views and complaints about quality or hygiene. Expect a super-central base with standout access and views, but variable upkeep and connectivity.

Alexis Esparza,& Regina Velazquez had great communication skills, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. However, the gym was a total waste of a visit. As no equipment worked. Therefore don’t give the guest hopes it works. Thank you Alexis & Regina for offering a different solution.

I want to give a Special thanks to the guy at the valet parking and all his valet crew. It’s makes so much difference when you get to a hotel and they treat you with super kindness, friendly and respectful . They made our stay special , we would go back and stay in this hotel just to see them again and get their kind service and advice where to go and what to do. I would recommend every one to stay at this hotel over all all service was great , hotel nice clean and everyone around nice and polite . I wish everyone in Mexico was this nice. Juan de Dios and his crew made us feel safe and they are there 24hrs service and they will take us to walking distance place to eat. Even at late hrs of night they will make us feel safe. There is also a lot of police around and make you feel safe to walk around late at night . The hotel it’s 10min walking to Madero Street and police all around . I walked at 1am to pick up my daughter walking by my self to madero street . Best place to stay !!!

The staff were very accommodating, but their elevators weren't working so we had to take the stairs. Also, the electricity went out for a few hours during my mom's birthday celebration so that was a huge inconvenience. However, they did give us an extra hour to make up for it. Love the location, but the property definitely needs some renovation.

The location is wonderful and the on site parking with valet is very convenient. They were always very friendly whether we were coming or going. Housekeeping did a great job. Our room was always clean and the entire hotel looked great. We had a suite and the space was perfect for all of us.

Platinum members get worst rooms. We were assigned a room on 2nd floor adjacent to where bar/club is. The music started at blairing loud into room. When getting ready for bed, the bedding stunk and found several hairs. We called lobby and complained and after 45 min we were sent to 3rd floor. Stay away from 2nd floor. We recommend to hotel to keep club door to hotel hallway closed. Why were we not given 3rd floor room instead of the 2nd floor adjacent to club. Was this our upgrade?

The property when we got there was only there about 1-2 hours and the electricity went out and the temperature was in the 90’s and apparently they been having this issue for a week and they never bothered to tell any of there customers. When we asked about when was the electricity going to return they had no clue and told us that from 3-5am there is no electricity at all since thats the time they let there own generator to rest. When we asked for flash light they told us they didn't have any for the guest. So in any emergency we were supposed to find the exit in the dark since there was no electricity. Im my personal experience there I do not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel is in a great location, which is downtown. The room was not very clean. I found lots of hairs on the bed sheets. And the carpet was dingy and dirty.

It’s not my first time here and I was very disappointed ☹️ with the cleaning of the room. The sheets were very old and stained. It look like it was pee. There was a roche in the bathroom. I checked in very late and I was tired other wise I would it notify the front desk right away. I did it earlier in the morning. I stayed in the junior suite.

When we arrived the first floor is really nice where the restaurant is with updated furniture and very clean. When we arrived to our room, at first glance, everything looked good but when we got close to our bed, the bed sheets were not cleaned they had make up and hair all over. The bathroom towels are extremely outdated. Very old. In my opinion I will not be staying here again

The wifi barely worked. The mattress was hard. The room was old , outdated , with worn carpet, chipped doors. It took about 45 minutes to get a small fruit plate and a coffee in the restaurant. The staff were friendly , but the hotel seems down on its luck. The hotel is in a good location.

While the location of the hotel was great and the staff was friendly, the advertised internet was basically non existent. This is very disappointing as it is so important in todays world for travellers to be able to access the internet to communicate with family and to make travel plans.

We usually stay here at Leon. Upon driving to check-in, the recieving team took a while to offer help with luggage. Furthermore when they always drive the car up to their parking area they said for me to drive it up, a 180 degree change in Welcoming and assisting a client. We were assigned room 221, the room had old towels that were ready for trashing, music streaming into room from hotel bar and to top it off when getting ready to sleep undid the bed and hairs were in bedding and bedding stunk of sweat. I called front desk and after 30 munutes we were moved to 3rd floor and a pleasant quiet room. Towels were 100% better than previous and bedding was sparkling white. I guess if we are a Hotels.com member we are given the worst room available. And if we are a Gold member..we are downgraded in room instead of upgraded. The next day i saw a friend that works at Hotel and i was told there was a change of management and since then the hotel service is spiraling down. Stay away from 2nd floor rooms. The bar door is left open and the bars loud music flows throughout the hallway bothering all patrons. Of all the times ive stayed here this is a first experiencing bad moments.

Hotel has excellent location. However physical condition is terrible doors with no internal lock. Carpet outdated, bathroom dirty. Besides customer service at check in was horrendous, we arrived early morning to left luggage, a person named Cecy, started to mocking because was to early when other employee ask if we were checking out. We say that we were to left luggage and return when room are available. They offer for US$30 to allow to check in at 9:00hrs. We denied to pay ask when we can return for the room. the other employee offer to have one room at 13:00hrs. We come back at that time and Cecy “the front desk employee tha mocked whe we arrive earlier”. She refuse to allow to check inn at 13:00hrs and that the check in was at 15:00hrs. My wife started talking to her and she was arguing again that rooms were no available that we need to come back at 15:00hrs. We asked politely to allow check inn when rooms were available but she denied, finally at 15:00 o’clock we asked and She gave the key in one second. We were sitting in front of Her and never call Us. Meaning that the room was ready before that time. That kind of employees can destroy a good service that a company try to provide.

Great location. Right on the main plaza. Super walkable to shops and food options. Besides the great location, the standout for this hotel was the staff, 10/10. Incredibly helpful and professional. They offer car service to the airport, as noted on the property page, but they also offer car service around the city, which was so convenient and honestly felt safer vs getting a taxi. The bathroom was a little outdated and tight, but other than that would highly recommend staying here. Will be back to stay again.

During the first night at this hotel someone tried to go into my room. It was a very scary experience. The manager apologized and said that they had sold the room twice and didn't keep track. How does this happen? Be aware that this could happen to you!

As a travel advisor on a leisure trip, I made a quick stop in Leon at this fascinating hotel in center of the city. Excellent parking and valet services, as well as friendly, trustworthy staff who go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Keep in mind this hotel is about a three star at best in terms of bed comfort and room amenities, however the service and the location and hotel property amenities are well over a 4 star experience. I definitely recommend for those short term stays as it is a great value. Thank you so much!

The rooms are a bit outdated, the tap was not working as expected, no hot water. However, staff was very friendly. The best part of the hotel is the location, located right in the middle of the main square of Leon, really enjoyed the walk around the square. Lot of eating options, Metropolitana church is 400m and Expiatorio Church is 1km away. Would definely recommend.

Great location at a great price. The hotel bathroom could use an upgrade but it was clean. Bd was comfy-could use new pillows but for the price it’s great. The hotel has a wonderful coffee shop restaurant downstairs and out on the plaza. We did not have the buffet breakfast but it looked good. The restaurant on the second floor overlooks the Jardin and was wonderful. The service was outstanding and ambience and view beautiful. We stay at this hotel every time we come to Leon because it is in the heart of centro and we love shopping and enjoying the Jardin. There are rooms facing the Jardin you can upgrade to. We didn’t do it this time.

The location is fantastic for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Once you arrive if you have a vehicle valet parking service is awesome. If you have a room with a balcony it may be a bit loud at night for some people but nothing crazy. The breakfast at the hotel was not the most delicious but very convenient. Buffet for 2 was about $23. Staff was helpful but some were a bit standoffish. My only complaint was the restroom, the smell from the drain is pretty strong if you close the window in the restroom.

I ate the over-priced breakfast. I ordered an over easy egg. They brought a scrambled egg. The manager refused to make me another egg even though he acknowledged it appeared to be a misunderstanding.

This hotel used to be the Condesa Hotel, for those who knew it, it's the best in the area. It festures 2 restaurants, one of them is very popular to locals and travelers. The food is great, especially the one downstairs. At the moment they feature a Mexican food buffet. They cook your food right in front of you. The staff is very nice. Parking is abundant near by, and the hotel has it's own as well with valet parking. No additional cost.

The hotel is in a really nice location and common areas like the lobby and sitting areas throughout the hotel are really comfortable and nicely decorated. All the staff throughout our stay couldn’t have been more hospitable. The restaurant on the 2nd floor has the best wait staff and view of the plaza. Exceptional!!! We did encounter a few cons though, mattress and pillows were really hard, rooms are not soundproof, hallway lights are extremely dim, housekeeping didn’t fully service our room and believe it or not there was a cockroach in my breakfast from the buffet. Sooo after a two night stay this is a one time visit for us.

This hotel is right in the heart of the center. Walking just steps to many shops, restaurants, etc. It's a little dated but mostly clean. It has an amazing view if you book the right room or from their restaurant on the 2nd Floor. The restaurant " La Esmeralda del Bajio" was lonely but they had excellent service and great food and drinks!.

The property is in the middle of downtown, which is an excellent location to be in. Very convenient and easy access as well. On the downside the breakfast buffet was disgusting, seemed that the food was reheated from the day prior. Also, we saw a lot of roaches in our room. There’s carpet throughout the hotel which doesn’t help to maintain it clean. It definitely needs an upgrade for a more modern and cleaner feel.
