Stowe Motel & Snowdrift

Very comfortable, convenient location, and friendly staff. Only set back was hot tub was closed early Sunday unexpectedly. And my room had a DVD player with the wrong remote.

From the moment we checked in it was just absolutely wonderful. The pool was great , the rooms clean and it was so quiet. Very walkable! It is so close to activities. And a couple miles from town. There's a game room downstairs that have ping pong and pool. I absolutely loved my stay there.

An older property, but clean. A well-equipped kitchen in the room helped us save on restaurant bills. Motel has an outstanding open-air swimming pool.

A good value for the area. BThe efficiency apartment room had everything one could want. It said it had a fireplace and I was expecting a wood fireplace but it had a gas fireplace which was still nice but not quite as nice. Also there were some pretty big potholes on their driveways that had water in them so you couldn't judge how deep they were. But overall it was very good and we even made another reservation for a few months down the road.

Stowe Motel and Snowdrift was in a great location and the room itself was very comfortable. I was able to borrow a bike and helmet, which was really convenient. There was easy access to the recreation path nearby. There were a few restaurants and a brewery within a few minutes walk. I was able to walk into town easily too.

Location is fantastic. Lots of things to do nearby and on the property grounds. There was a farmers market taking place when we arrived which was lovely. The pools and hot tub were nice. Rooms were big. Decent sleep. Towels were quite nice. Overall nice stay.

Pet friendly and clean motel. We stayed at end off summer, weather was cool, 50's at night. Bikes on property to ride, need a few adjustments to loose kickstands, some bikes gears didnt work but we were able to find 4 bikes for the family. Pool was heated. Keurig coffee in the office with Starbucks and Dunkin choices. Wall of Dvds to borrow from with lots of good choices for families and kids. Clean rooms and cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful if you needed extra towel or pillow. Room had a mini fridge with a two burner stove top and utensils and pots etc. Small Game Room Lounge with small pool table, foosball table, ping pong table and ice machine free. Would have loved to have seen more tables outside to eat with my family, as the only places that had a table to eat was by the pool which was no food allowed. Plenty of parking and things to do in the town of Stowe.

Exactly as described and shown online. Staff were lovely and gave some great recommendations. Easy to walk to pubs and restaurants and the free bike hire is great.

I don’t know how this property got such a high rating. The room we were in was definitely not excellent in any way. The carpet in the room was very old and had a rip through the middle of it. There were roach traps in every corner. We did not see any bugs but there must be an issue or why the traps. In the bathroom there was a cabinet just above the toilet that would hit you in the back if you didn’t lean forward while sitting and it was very close to the sink cabinet so we had to be careful not to hit it. The room was never serviced while we were there for three days. I have no problem with beds being used without service, but the floor needed vacuuming due to leaves and pine needles being tracked in, as well as towels being replaced. We called to ask for towels and they brought some, but nothing else was done even though we requested it. I will say that when we checked in the lady at the front desk was very nice and helped me change from a queen room to a two queen bed room. I paid almost $200 dollars for that upgrade in addition to what I had already paid when booked. Beware that there are 2 or 3 different properties under the same name. We were in the Snowdrift Inn portion. I have never been this disappointed in a booking before. I would have moved to a different property if that had been possible.

My room was gross. Carpets dirty. Smelled musty, bath didn’t drain well. Old mattress No hot water in shower. Luke warm only. The heat did not work well. I think I was given the worst room because I booked with Expedia

We booked a basic room by mistake was a very quiet place stayed 3nights could ave been a lot cleaner and nicer smell but we only there to sleep 5min drive to town or. 20 mins on free cycles offered

Clean, friendly but not pleased with 2nd floor room, when there are over 35+ rooms available, and no elevator for this 70 year old couple, but stairs.

It’s an older motel. So, it is a little dated. But, the rooms are clean. The beds were comfortable. We stayed in one of their efficiency rooms in 2021 for a week. If/when we return to Stowe, I will certainly book here again.

Very outdated for the price. The pictures make the place seem more modern than it is. Tiny pillows and uncomfortable bed. The shower squealed and a constant drip sound came from the bathroom. AC would work only sometimes and when it did it was very loud.

We got in late and left early for skiing. We paid a modest premium for a “superior “ room, which I think included a hutch with drawers. Had a fridge, microwave, place was clean, beds comfy, warm, and tons of hot water. The following was expected, because it’s a “motel”. The wall HVAC is WAY overdue for replacement, I prefer a freight train to its condenser kicking on. And when you see popcorn ceiling, you know there’s no sound proofing. When the neighbor showers, the pipes trump a blow torch. TV remote was beyond worn, wouldn’t shift up, only down and required 2 fingers to muscle down. My bad, didn’t report it, but neither did previous occupant. But for a village that’s kept franchising out, it was a “fair” value and I’d stay again.

Very old room. Seems ok clean but not at all what I was expecting. Took awhile for the heater to take the chill off the room. If I hadn’t already paid I would leave.

Very friendly staff (Nancy was exceptional). Quiet older motel with clean interior and good-sized bedroom and bathroom. Refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Park in front of your room. A more costly older motel may be due to fall colors timeframe.

Property was dimly lit at nights. Cleaning crew didn't clean room or provide fresh towels, even though we requested them. Night staff had to bring them.

Front desk allowed me for an early check in and late check out. Very nice front desk receptionist. Rooms are dated but cozy. It’s a good location to Stowe ski resort. Shuttle pick up to go to mountain or town is across the street by blue donkey.

There was a problem with the lock to our room, we had a problem unlocking the door a couple of times. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The staff is incredible! Had a small issue with our room and they took swift action, including upgrading us for our troubles. Would highly recommend!

Really beautifully kept. Huge room. Lovely view from the very large window. Very comfortable. Two minutes from several very good restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again.

large room but very small bathroom with little space to put our cosmetic bags. Odd odor when when in. We arrived in the evening in the dark , there were several different buildings and we had a hard time to find our building/unit: no street lights and the lights outside of our building were not on. We did not feel safe.

Review for Stowe Snodrift Motel and Suites.Great location- easy to get to Stowe Rec path & other places-careful entering driveway as there was a large dip in the pavement that scraped our rental car, but very clean bathroom and room, a/c unit slightly loud, but tolerable, frige in room, CD player in room and bikes available on property for riding around the Stowe rec path which is nice plus.No noise from neighboring rooms.A tad outdated room but very clean. We had a standard room, which was small ,but we are small people, so it wasn't an issue. Stayed for a few nights for leisure.

Wonder stay. Bed was comfortable. Grounds were beautiful. Amazing location, close to everything and near by restaurants and breweries walkable.

Great location to stay

I’m tired of paying $200 a night at the chain hotels, these smaller venues are nice and clean, just every thing is older. Our room had a table and 2 chairs, to eat at. It had a microwave, which a lot of the chain hotels don’t seen to have these days. Nice to heat up a muffin. Etc. The only negative was it said free breakfast and they don’t have that. The owner said they have tried to change it with hotels.com and they can’t seem to get it changed.

Great Location with Complimentary Coffee

Vey clean room. Spacious and had everything we needed. No breakfast but a great place to get it is Stowe Bee Bakery & Cafe (only about 1 mile down the road)! I would recommend staying here when you are in the area.

Since it was advertised as having breakfast, and that was one of the reasons for choosing this motel, I was quite dissatisfied that it offered.

Cable stations should be updated. Coffee in room needs help. Otherwise a clean affordable option with great proximity to many good food options

Considering the price I would have liked to have a complementary breakfast. Coffee and toast or doughnut would have been appreciated.

The initial reason I booked the Stowe Motel was that I was attending the jazz festival in August and the motel was walking distance. But there were also a few restaurants within walking distance as well, along with the St. John's in the Mountains Episcopal Church where one of the evening jazz performances was held. The motel also has a nice pool - which I didn't use - plus free bikes for guests and I did use one duing my stay. They also have a nice selection of pod coffees and tea in the lobby and a basket of granola and breakfast bars. And the front desk staff, including Nancy from Huntington, were very nice! I'd definitely stay here again.

No continental breakfast as stated in the Expedia web site

This was a nice little find in Stowe summer season. The office has free coffee and a huge collection of DVD’s for viewing in the room. It was a homey touch for our long trip on the road. There are also several quality food options nearby.

It is deceiving, Expedia sells the place telling the customers that Stowe Motel serve breakfast. Expedia does not care, they just want to sell without no matter what kind of inconvenience brings to the customers. I paid for breakfast, and Stowe Motel does not serve breakfast for 3 years already, which Expedia has not bother to remove breakfast. It is very inconvenient and a waste of time for me having to leave the facility to find a breakfast restaurant when I am ready to go to the mountain. The reception desk said that they have notified Expedia several times and Expedia has done nothing. It is disappointing.
