I don’t know what the hotel looked like before but the renovations were decent. The pool was great the 1st day swimming but pretty gross by day two. It seems like the hotel was stingy on toilet paper and towels as there wasn’t enough in the room at check in. Plus they didn’t have pool towels available one day too. It was a last minute reservation since we had to find a pet friendly place on short notice. A perk was the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Stayed one night during a family trip to Texas. Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Location was convenient drive to both Tejas Rodeo in Bulverde and downtown San Antonio. Neighborhood was ok. Seemed quiet. The courtyard of the hotel was very nice and the pool looked great. We were disappointed we didn't have time to swim, but we would have if we had time! The firepit area and giant Jenga blocks were both a surprise and a delight for our two kids to play with us. Kept them busy while waiting to go out for the evening. Would definitely recommend or stay again if in the area. Convenient food market and counter-service cafe; prices were typical of hotel prices although higher what you would pay going out to eat at a dinner. We used the in-room refrigerator and microwave and brought our own snacks and breakfast to save money. We enjoyed sitting on the patio to relax before bed.

Elevator was not working. Fire alarm had a malfunction around midnight and had everyone waiting. We asked for queen beds and got double. Staff was nice but having a brown ankle and having to walk two flights of stairs was inconvenient and painful. Then the alarm malfunction people panicking and elevator not working and stairs packed.

Hotel was very clean and spacious. Just the smoke alarm went off for the entire hotel the night we stayed. The first floor going to the gym/pool smelled like smoke. Other than that my family and I enjoyed our stay. Would book again and I recommend it for families.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. There was no clear indication what was wrong. All of the guest went to the front lobby and we were left standing there waiting for answers. A fire truck did come so obviously something occurred. No one ever offered us any explanation. Eventually we were told to go back to our rooms but no one ever explained what happened

I really enjoyed the set up. It was spacious and the pool was in the middle of everything. It was peaceful and i enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend if you are in San Antonio near The Lady of the Lake Unversity.

This property is VERY convenient to almost all of San Antonio, but the staff is under trained. I ordered a martini and the bartender said, “I don’t know how to make that…we mostly just serve beer and wine.” lol. While the back wall is covered in all kinds of liquor bottles. Also, the ice machine does not work, so every time you want ice, you need to call the front desk.

For the price we paid for one night, I expected a decently cleaned room. But there were pubic hairs stuck to the bathroom door, the same door that wouldn’t lock. Hair on the shower floor. Most first floor guest room doors had visible gaps between the door and the doorframe, you could hear everything. Toenail clippings between the nightstand and the bed. Just overall disappointing. Desk clerk was nice though.

There was a recent wet stain on the floor. I reported it and they said it was the fridge but it was far away from the fridge it didn’t see like it would be possible. A dirty bandaid was washed with the linens and when we pulled the covers back the washed bandaid was in the bed. I did report they

Everything was mediocre. The pull out desk in the room was not cleaned and had food crumbs and god knows what else. I sanitized everything as that was a sign that not only was there minimal cleaning, but no sanitization. I still paid as much as I'd pay for a clean and sanitized room. So, that's not fair. It really makes me think that the rooms are not fully cleaned beyond what the eye actually sees...or even not that.

We reserved this hotel for being pet friendly, when I reserved there was not mention of a pet fee, I would not mind a reasonable fee but the room rate was $223.42 including taxes and fees, When we arrived they charged us another $150 pet fee tax, only the pet fee was the same as a whole room night! $177 so the total the night at not even close to luxury hotel was $400 dlls. Also when we finally made it to our room after a 12 hours drive, the room was not clean, beds undone and bathroom dirty, at 11:00pm when check in is 3:00pm. All this for $400 dlls a night... So no, no happy and won't ever go back.

The stair way doors were incredibly LOUD an it was hard to get any sleep with closing like a jail cell clang every 15 minutes. you could hear people talking in the hallway as if they were in the room.

Overall stay was okay. I was told that the room I rented was not the room Hotels.com advertised, so we were stuck cramped in with a rollaway bed instead of a folding sofa. I would have rented elsewhere for the same price range and got what I was advertised. Hotel did not care and said that 3rd parties get it wrong all the time. Hotels.com cant be reached for these issues, so don't know who is to blame, but it is apparently my problem. Aside from that, A/C couldnt keep a semi-consistant temp, so was putting covers on and off all night. A/C and being cramped the whole time pretty much ruined it for us.

The beds were not good. My back was in pain . We went down for breakfast and decided not to eat there. There was basically no service. When the girl did come her attitude was such that we did not feel comfortable ordering.

I booked a regular room through Hotels.com. The lady at the front desk asked me why we were staying at the hotel and I told her that we were there for a doctors appointment for my father. She proceeded to give me a handicap room instead and choose a room that was nearest an exit so he wouldn’t have to do a lot of walking from room from the parking lot. I really appreciated that. A little bit of effort goes a long way.

We had a great experience. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our toilet clogged and we were immediately moved and staff even helped carrying our luggage over to the new room. Area around the hotel looks sketchy but that’s out of their control. Overall wonderful experience. Quiet, clean and restful!

I rarely write reviews, but I thought I would write one to help people. The front desk lady was aloof. I struggled getting my cart with bags in and that was obvious, I loaded up the cart with my belongings & struggled getting it to my room. I was assigned a room extremely far away from the front, and on the 3rd floor. I passed the front desk lady and two other staff, a male and female, who saw that I was struggling and never asked to help me. After getting to my room, I realize there were no towels in the room so called to get them delivered. Took them about 30 minutes to bring them. After that I realized I only had half a roll of toilet paper in the room so called back for more toilet paper, they brought up one roll even though I had booked 2 nights so eventually had to ask for more. The door to the handicap accessible side with the ramp was so heavy I could barely open it. There was no button to automatically open it. I knew check out was noon so I packed up my stuff so I could sleep as long as possible to rest & rejuvenate, but the housekeeping staff ruined that for me. At 10:15 in the morning they knocked & then immediately came into my room, then a few minutes later they tried to come in again slamming door. I do not recommend.

Since when do Hotels not have complimentary coffee?????especially high dollar Hotels... well this one doesn't!!! If you as a hotel want to have starbucks coffee why do i the customer have to pay for it!!! What a joke i will never stay here again.. also they want you to pay 10 plus dollars for breakfast and all it was was a microwave sandwich or burrito. The staff was nice. But for the price and the small size of the room, it was not worth it.

the room was just the right size with king size bed, it also had a sleeper sofa, at the bottom of it was a large shelf of wood, I walked into it and bruised my shin bone, hurt bad. there was no soap in the soap dispenser, and no lotion in the bottle of lotion.. it was not replaced when the room was cleaned, What's up with sheets that do not fit the bed correctly. this is the second time in two weeks there were poor sheets on the bed. for the price they charge they could at least purchase king size bedding

Love staying here because there’s always cops in the parking lot. It makes us feel safe and sleep peacefully. Staff is always really helpful and kind. Only thing is that they do need to upgrade beds. We have been staying here for the past 4 years and we love it.
