The rooms can have an update. The parking it’s very inconvenient. People don’t fallow rules in the parking lot. A lot of police officers stays there so you will be safe. I suggest to give them an area to park.

Upon check in, we got to room and we noticed it was warm, we lowered the ac and left for dinner around 8pm, came back around 2:30am and the room was still hot, ac was not working, took another 20 minutes to be switched rooms. 2nd stay here and it’s the second time they have to move us because of ac issues. Such a beautiful hotel, but it’s inconvenient having this problem. Won’t be staying here anymore.

The hotel is under some type of a renovation , but that doesn’t mean the room needs to be dirty. There was lipstick on the light switch in the bathroom, garbage found at bottom of my bed. Just seemed dirty to me. I bet it was premium 20 years ago. Parking was limited near the hotel.

We love staying at this hotel, staff is always friendly. This time I gave a 4 on the category for comfort due to the bed mattress not being too firm. Usually, the times I stay here the beds have been pretty firm. The carpet was a bit dirty, had my grandbaby crawling and when I picked her up her knees were black which meant the carpets were not completely clean. Which I understand they will not be 100% clean.

Stay at Double Tree because it was conviniente location and has indoor pool. Room wasnt clean at all, shower is too small, stay 2 days and did not clean the room even if I ask to. Hallway has dinner disher for the 2 days I stayed.

The hotel has really good potential the rooms were kind of dusty. I had to be switched to another room because the TV in the master bedroom was broken. However, they did accommodate me and switch me with awesome customer service. The hotel was very nice in general. Just had a musky smell in the rooms.

Room was stocked, but wish they had a local channel line-up. We got the double room suite, very spacious, but i would recommend they add atleast a trash can to every room. The room only had one trash 🗑 can in the whole suite. Again provide local tv station line-up available.

I received a room with television that only works for 5 minutes, then the picture dies and theres only sound. I would have to turn it off and on to see picturea again. Since maintenance took a long time to report, they moved me to another room.

This used to be a my favorite hotel on McAllen but has gone downhill in recent years, needs major renovations especially to the HVAC system, freshening, intensive cleaning, etc. Our 3 rooms smelled so bad like sewage or sulphur, cigarrets. Stunk horribly. The pool area was not clean The receptionist had a very bad attitude We asked for a blanket and she was rude "you should have one in your room, find it", she said; We told here there was none, and she said "I dont have blankets, I have towels...!" repeating this twice, English is not our first lenguagge but we do understand the basic She was disrespectful and so arrogant. She shouldn't be working in the hotel. In the oposite, the gentleman assisting at breakfast was wonderful and kind. Breakfast was delicious and they changed up the options in the morning (eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries and cereal) The hotel location is perfect. Overall, our stay wasnt the best so I don’t think we would come back. I think there are other hotels with better service at a similar price on McAllen.

The property is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast (which is extra) was excellent! The latch to open the cabinet door to the mini fridge was unlatched but I am sure that can fixed easily. They accommodated us with side by side rooms which we really appreciated.
