Romana Hotel

When I first arrived at the property, the parking lot was filthy, that was a pool on the side that was filled with dirty green water, the lobby had a horrible smell…I couldn’t stay at this property and wouldn’t recommend it…

We’ll to start everything they said they stand for online is a lie the building needs to be condemned it’s filthy ; roach ridden , homeless sleeping at the entrance to office smoking pot ( marijuana) the grounds of the hotel is covered with trash blowing in the wind the lobby doors open 24 hours a day wind blowing trash , grass, leaves etc into the lobby, the elevator the only one out of two that works is filthy with trash and pot roaches ( marijuana butts) on elevator deck, no service I never saw a cleaning service cart. No fresh towels etc. The room was filthy with food debris on floor behind furniture, pills on and under furniture, the shower head coming out of the wall was just barely hanging, the carpet in the hallways looked like a crime scene. I could go on and on. I worked in the hotel industry for a long time stayed at a lot of places everything they said to describe their hotel about having services in rooms for meetings, etc. was all a lie everything that they described was a complete lie. I am surprised that the fire marshal and the health department have not close this building down. They ask for a $40 cleaning deposit I mean what good with that dude they could keep it and see you trashed the room but the room is already trashed. Then again the Proprietors Dr., Alfa,, Romeo’s Mercedes and Can-Am motorcycles, but the hotel is a ghetto.

This property lacks maintenance. It’s very cheap so I guess that is why but definitely not worth more than $50/night rate.

I would not bother even making a reservation. This place is falling apart. I was afraid to check in because I was afraid the building would fall down. I lost my money on the reservation but at least I didn't try to sleep in a hotel that should be condemned.

This hotel is a scam. I've already filed a complaint with Hotels.com and am awaiting a refund. The photos on the Hotels.com website are not true to form. From the moment you enter, everything is terrible. The walls and floors were extremely dirty. The service was terrible. The hallway leading to the room was like a dead animal. The entire hallway and bedroom carpet was completely stained and dirty. The bedroom wall was damaged. The bathroom smelled like it had been abandoned. The shower faucet wouldn't turn off. The light switch in the bathroom didn't work. Absolutely a scam.

the room smelled like urine, the carpet was so filthy that I wouldn't dare take my shoes off, there were crumbs and dirt under the mattress cover and on the box spring, there was hair in the sheets, in the less than 30 minutes that I was there I saw two roaches. I could not stay, it was disgusting! If I could give negative stars, I would.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! If you can afford to stay somewhere else please do. there was nothing good about this place. Roaches everywhere, THE SMELL, sheets dirty and NOT CLEAN AT ALL. I did not know what I was getting myself into when I booked. I booked to stayed 3 nights but only stayed half a night. I just couldn't do it. I slept in my car.

Literally the worst hotel I have ever been to. There were roaches, the whole place smelt like cigarettes, the sheets and bedding also smelt like cigarettes, the bedding had stains, the peephole was literally just a hole drilled into the door so you can see inside the room from the outside, the door did not manually lock, the balcony had no lock and the walls were paper thin. it was so disgusting

Worst hotel i have ever stayed in trash everywhere bad smells no tv burn holes in the covers holes in carpet broken mirrors lamp shade was torn up the other lamp didn't even work table was broken sink cracked tub was to gross to even put my feet in took pictures but its not letting me load them also posted them in the Google reviews

Why did they want a deposit for a room where nothing works or things are already broken tv do not work the phone that in the room doesn’t even have a cord hooked up to it the tv do not work it’s roaches crawling everywhere there’s a small round table in the room that is broken the door you have to slam shut missing light bulbs. Like this place is completely horrible and they are asking for a $40 deposit on top that like that’s crazy

Checked in 1st day no water for hours, roaches were very bad and room was not clean when i arrived. Toilet seat was on the floor and the office guy told me i coulda fixed it myself. The sink leaked and i had to go buy a bucket to catch the water. They never came to fixed it after I reported it the 1st day. Overall stay was horrible

This place is a total and complete rip off. Stay far far far away from this place if possible at all. They have so many hidden fees for standard accommodations that it is insane, there are bugs all over the place and they placed me in a room with a wet floor that had obviously just had treatment completed possibly minutes before arrival. The lights were damaged and broken, in some cases the cables had been cut. Furniture damaged and filthy, sheets had burn holes in them, smoke detectors ripped out (which is probably why they STOLE my $40 “damage deposit”) the only good thing about this place was the one manager who helped find a room suitable at least to take a nap in. The mini fridge was filthy, remote was damaged and missing components, toilets moved if you sat on them. The carpets were a freaking mess, STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Website does not match description. Entire building reeked of cigarettes smell. Stains on wall and ceiling. Toilet did not flush. Overall bad. Waiting for my refund as front desk accepted to refund all expenses back.

This was literally the worse hotel I have been to. I checked in and checked right out. The guy at the front desk was so unprofessional. He was constantly yelling and using words he shouldn'thave.. I have a video of him arguing with a guest. I have over 20 pictures of how dirty and unsafe this place was.There was mold in our room & the guy refused to refund me.

SINGLE WOMEN ARE NOT SAFE HERE. I was staying here by myself, so only my name was signed to the room. One night at around 3 am my abusive ex-boyfriend followed me to my hotel after seeing me at a bar. I did not see him. I go to my room and get in bed. I was woken up to the sound of my door opening... The staff gave him a key to my room!!! If I didn't have the extra lock on, he would have gotten all the way in. Luckily it only cracked so I slammed it closed. He was banging around violently until someone escorted him out. If that wasn't bad enough, there were roaches everywhere, rips and stains on my bedding, and my toilet seat was broken, so it pinched every time you sat down... At this point I am deciding whether to sue them for endangering my life or to speak to management. Absolutely unacceptable. I could have died that night due to their negligence. 0/10

Avi and the administrative staff were helpful and professional. They explained all fees, and smiled, while answering all of my questions, to my satisfaction. I'll definitely stay here, again, on future trips.

Really bad service, I had a reservation confirm but when I arrived to the property they simply communicated that all rooms were taken and there is nothing the can do. So even with a confirm reservation does not guarantee your stay. Great service 😒

I came to check in at 2:00pm, and they asked for $20 cash to get my room early. I disagree. and 3:30pm I went back to check in my room, they told me to wait. around 5:00pm they replied that there was no housekeeping staff so asked me to go to another hotel. I saw a lot of people having the same situation as me that day, it was really horrible. I don't want anyone to be like me when coming to this Romana hotel. don't be foolish

The front ofice is very unprofessional there rude they cuss u out they dont provide housekeeping only one time when u make the reservation after that u got to clean roaches all over the hotel smells like roaches its just nasty unsanitary and rude people the employees

The most horrible expert of my life I was traumatized the front desk MAN grown ass Man was acting like a little child that u take candy from he on no ay should be working in any kind of PR jobs fire him immediately if you want people to stay at your hotel he was mean to every customer with a concern

I was disappointed with my experience at Romana Hotel. Rather than a traditional hotel environment, the property resembled a marketplace for smoking-related products. I was surprised to see this property listed on Expedia, as it does not seem to meet the expected standards for accommodations. I hope Expedia will reconsider its listing criteria to ensure a more conventional hotel experience for travelers.
