What guests think

At Courtyard Harlingen, travelers often praise the friendly, accommodating staff and convenient location near shops and dining, while feedback on room comfort, maintenance, and cleanliness ranges from very positive to clearly dissatisfied across different stays.

The pool, hot tub, and lounge and bar are appreciated, and the airport shuttle earns compliments, though guests note a cold pool or inactive hot tub jets at times. Several reviews mention bathtub drainage problems, loud A/C or noise from nearby areas, and a dated feel in some rooms, while others like balconies and courtyard views. On-site dining and Starbucks receive mixed feedback: breakfast is paid and choices can feel limited for kids, but some enjoy the bar, drinks, and a better than typical breakfast. Expect friendly service and convenience, with variability in room upkeep and amenities.

New Year's Eve stay was comfortable and relatively quiet. Room was very clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed having a courtyard view and although the pool was freezing cold, the hot tub was perfect!

Our flight was canceled so we had to scramble to find a hotel for the 6 of us, we booked 2 exact same rooms, unfortunately we were in separate towers nowhere near each other. They were great about sending a shuttle van to the airport to get us, and take us back the next day, we just told the front desk what time and they made sure we were on time. Our rooms had a pull out sofa bed, unfortunately both of the rooms closets did not have sheets, pillows or blankets for the pull out beds so we had to retrieve them from the front desk. The king bed was comfortable enough. Could’ve used more pillows they’re flat so 2 pillows made 1 normal pillow. There’s no button for jets in the hot tub outside. It was hot just no jets. Pool was cold even for being 95 degrees outside. Bar didn’t open until 5. No cereal for kids for breakfast, a small Starbucks is there with a very limited menu, nothing really for small children who are picky eaters. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Front desk staff at check in was SUPER accommodating and friendly. Absolute gem. Great clean place, great shower, super clean room and very comfortable bed. We are from here but just wanted a break so we know the area, but for those of you considering something, it’s a three min walk to chilis, five to wataburger, wingstop, and the movie theater is directly across the street. Bar and food onsite are great as well. Zero complaints.

Shower was moldy. The shower curtains were gross. The carpets where filthy. The shower only sprayed staight out and you could not adjust it because I was afraid it would break. The ceilings were all peeling. Asked for different room but they were sold out. so I had no choice. I had booked two rooms and the other was in the same condition anyway. Won't stay there again. Hotel needs remodeling big time.

I am a repeat customer because the hotel staff is personable and helpful, and the hotel is conveniently located to the places I go to in Harlingen, as well as throughout the Reio Grande Valley.

There was blood on the sheets, no trash bag in bin, and had to do be our own housekeepers. Not to mention when i first stepped in the room it was so dusty as if it Hamtramck been cleaned for weeks. Other than that, the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. Wish the room was clean and still kept. Should have taken pictures but i just wanted to get rid of those dusty stained sheets.

The stay was fine, the staff was very friendly and quite helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows, well I need to get some of those. That being said, the shower/tub in room 224 was clogged and the water stayed in the tub while showering. Also, there were some lumps of some sort under the carpet closest to the heating/cooling unit, very strange.

Customer service was amazing. The room was a little smelly and the water from the shower smelled really bad. I feel bad saying that because this hotel was in such a great location, but I have to be honest on reviews. The beds were not very comfortable either. But the customer service rocks. I have nothing bad to say about the staff, they are all beyond amazing. Location is perfect. HEB is walking distance, so is the movie theater and a couple of food places. Very close to downtown and the VA hospital. And it was loaded with military and I felt very safe. So that was a mega plus.
