At Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rapid City, SD, travellers frequently praise friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, family-friendly pool facilities, and a convenient location off I-90, while noting inconsistent breakfast and occasional maintenance or housekeeping lapses.

The pool with a waterslide and two hot tubs is popular, alongside a fire pit and pet friendly touches, but guests report occasional slide closures, cloudy or overly hot tubs, and parking that can get tight. We've stayed here before and liked it, but this time, it seems to have deteriorated quite a bit. The pool slide was closed, and the entire filtration system was not working—the pool water was very murky and had lots of debris. There was a sign that said to stay off the slide, but several children were walking up and down it (VERY unsafely), and no one seemed to care (front desk said she'd take care of it, but 45 minutes later, she never showed up). Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Not sure we will be back.

Staff not particularly helpful. No towels in pool. Hot tub out of service. Pool water cloudy. Both packaged soap in bathroom were smashed and came out of package in bits. Shower head was old and plugged with mineral residue. Water barely flowed out shower. Towels were old and worn. Floor in room dirty and needed vacuuming.

Decent enough hotel but the ceiling in the room was old and worn looking and the bathroom didnt have a shower like the pictures show so I wasnt able to use it. Another issue was the carpet between the beds was super sticky like someone had spilled syrup and it didnt get cleaned up.. my slippers keep sticking to the floor when i tried to get out of bed and caused me to trip more than once.

We really like the layout of the room where it was like a suite with a separate room with a door for a sitting area and a bedroom. The hotel looked like it was updated recently. This property has a problem with their hot water in that we never had a hot shower. Most mornings it was lukewarm at best some days even cold. The maintenance staff said all their hot water heaters were working and set at 120°. We were staying at this property five nights. We moved one room, hoping to get hot water, but that didn’t work. The housekeeping staff never once came to our room. We put garbage and wet towels out in the hallway they removed those. But never refreshed our room. We had to go get our own supplies. The shower was equipped with a rainwater showerhead that had a little to no pressure. Very hard to rinse soap or shampoo off.

I ordered 2 rooms and was charged $50 on top of the app's charges per room and a resort fee per room. This came as a surprise to me as we were in town for a funeral. So, these extra charges were unexpected and left me disappointed. I probably won't be staying at Country Inn & Suites anymore.

The man checking us in was super patient with how sleep deprived I was so all around great service from them ! They had high chairs in the dining space which was amazing traveling with two smaller children !! Beds were super comfortable and the pack n play they brought in for us looked better than the one we have at home lol even came with sheets, blanket and mattress protector. Definitely will stay here again during our cross country drive

This trip was 10.11.2025, I was charged today 11.06.2025 for this stay. At the time of the stay i seen i was charged for this stay so after this stay i didn't think anything of it. Come to find out almost a month later i was charged again for it because of a credit card issue at the hotel. We never got any formal notice just hit us with a charge from a month ago. i dont think its the customers is at fault for this and why are we getting charged a month later. This is a very big inconvenience and it shouldn't be put back on the customer a month later. I did contact the mananger gm and someone from Liv Hospitality so i am hoping it get solved and the charge is reversed. How much more people that stayed there that weekend noticed this?

Rooms were nice. 15 dollars for a pint of ice cream is a bit extreme. We appreciated that breakfast was offered daily, the options were juat okay. Not much of a variety on a daily basis. There weren't any on the go options considering most of the guests were in town for the Sturgis Rally. You would think for 280 a night it could be better.

The hotel was OK. On a positive side, it has a convenient location, quiet, and inexpensive. On a flip side, the breakfast had very limited options: not even orange juice. Some electrical outlets in the room were not working, and we had to move our lamps around to make them work. The lightening in the room could have been better. With all these limitations, I would still recommend it for a stay in Rapid City area.
