Caribbean Resort Myrtle Beach

Staying at the Caribbean Resort was the best decision we made for our vacation. It is right on the beach. There are indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers plus a water slide outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location was great, but the facility, rooms and pool areas were less than ideal. It is run down, pool areas are too small to spread out the people, so it was a little chaotic. The rooms were decent, but definitely run down, and we did see two cockroaches in our room. It was hard to really relax here.

Variety of pools, Great water area for the kids just wished it was opened the whole time of our stay.. apparently it had some mechanical issues…Tiki Bar had great food and drinks. Front desk was very helpful with any issues

We liked all the swimming pools and acess to the beach. One downfall was the waterpark slides were closed due to mechanical difficulties. Also the price range was a little steep. We did have a great time but probably will try to find something with some more reasonable options. The rooms were ok but they do need upgrade for the price of the stay.

The jamaican building is worn out. The tovers seemed better, that migh be the reason for hot and cold ratings. We called for maintenance and he showed up right a way. The slider door didn't slide properly, the shower head was clogrd too. When you are pool side they lock and unlock the gates with the pool hours. I don't see how this is not a fire code violation.

We loved the assortment of pools and the restaurant and onsite was amazing. The elevator in your hotel (Jamaican) was not working and they called us the day of our stay to tell us we can either cancel our reservation or basically deal with it. They didn't offer another accommodation or any assistance moving our luggage. No luggage carts were to be found. That building was a forgotten one.

I appreciate the renovations but the elevator, hallways and pools still seems out of date and dirty

This property was very nice and had a lot of great amenities. Including all of the indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers and hot tubs. The only downside that I had was that parking was across the street and the whole first level was valet parking. I would definitely stay here again though and would recommend this for anyone traveling to Myrtle Beach.

Great area to vacation, set up is very good. Lots of pools and hot tubs and two lazy rivers. Has amenities for almost any family size. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They are doing renovations on some areas but we never heard any loud noises during our stay

We had an excellent stay! From check-in to check-out, everything was top-notch. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect — close to everything we wanted to do, yet peaceful and relaxing. The hotel felt safe and well cared for. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!

This was a terrible trip this time our unit wasn’t clean, tidy, mattresses were trash my bed I slept on was garbage and the bed was tilted. Upstairs ppl were noisy asked to quiet down nothing helped called 4 time to the office they said someone will come out and no one showed up I set outside on the stairs. Do not book this rechad hotel save your money this is my 3rd time here but the last for sure. Garbage experience management didn’t care at all. Wasn’t clean found cans and other inappropriate items in the room there was 6 ppl that witnessed it.

The room was duty, roaches found curling the curtains, basic things like towel holders, deck door holder and refrigerator fruit holder falling apart. Garbage not removed or towels replaced until we had to call. I requested a room change but was told nothing available, I even wanted to upgrade but was denied. I made a complaint to to you andrge hote but no response either! Horroble service in both ends!

The room was okay. The room had sand all over the floor and in the bed. The house keeper did not come to the room to give fresh towels or change the trash. Best thing was the view.

Check your room before you bring in your luggage. The bed linen was not clean(stains on linen) the room wasn't clean.

We waited until almost 5:00 for our room to be ready. The hotel was damp, so damp our sheets always felt wet. The shower drain remained clogged the entire time even after they attempted to fix it. Cleaning of the room required a 24 hour notice which wa never expressed to us and even then they didn’t show up and I had to call again. Bedding was ripped as were the curtains. Unacceptable for the $2300 they charged us for 5 days! Never again. Will follow up on Yelp as well.

The room I stayed in had cockroaches in it.

We never stayed at this property. We planned to stay at your location and had two rooms. In both rooms, we discovered roaches. The room on the fifth floor had an infestation of roaches that came from the kitchen sink and the floor. We requested a refund and did not stay.

There was roaches and the building is under construction making alot of noise and elevator got stuck at one point. Also the ice machine did not work. Im still waiting for a refund for the 2 unused days because we left early when we discovered the bugs.

When I checked in, I received a room with urine in toilet and bed not made, it took 2 hours out of my day just to check in and get another room, I will not stay here again or refer anyone to stay here. Need better management

Clean renovated rooms, comfortable beds, large balcony and clean pools.

Our room was very nice and had plenty of space and full size kitchen. The hotel was close to attractions and parking was good. Area was not as crowded since we came after school started.

The location was great-right on the beach. The unit was large, with a full kitchen, a king bed, Murphy bed, and sofa bed. It could use some updating and smelled a little funny. We didn’t know this was a condo property, and noted they provide clean towels and empty the trash daily. No clean towels came, so we requested clean towels-3x, and waited hours. I finally went to the front desk to get some myself. I asked for a wake up call, which never came. The two extra beds (couch and Murphy bed) didn’t have blankets, but we found one sheet smushed into the couch. I didn’t want to call again, so we just slept without any blankets. But, the pool had some entertainment, and the food was reasonably priced. There was only one man working both the food and bar. He did a great job, but definitely needed some help. We’d probably look for somewhere else to stay next time, but overall it was ok.

Terrible stay. Double queen room with partial ocean view was awful. Not at the main location but a small 3 story building. We had to park across the street and carry our luggage across the street. Our partial ocean view was a balcony facing a parking lot. The a/c was so loud and ran constantly. The bathroom door hit the toilet and the shower- so small. The deadbolt on the door was useless because they carved out the doorframe. We could open the door with the deadbolt locked. The bed was extremely firm but the pillows were nice.

I loved having the balcony and the full kitchen. Bed was comfortable. But the room felt humid and the floor was damp.

We had one of the recently renovated rooms and it was excellent. We spent a lot of time at the indoor pool with our 9 year-old and enjoyed it more when it was less crowded. Our room was clean and comfortable, would definitely stay here again.

The property was nice. The property is old but it is kept up good. The tile is good, the kitchen is updated looking, the beds were good, the carpeting was good. the walls were recently painted, all the colors were coordinated. There were plenty of pools. Really the only down side is that you park, unload your stuff then park across the street in the parking garage. When you go any where you go in and out of the garage across the street. The lobby and the property look like they take really good care of the property. It was a very pleasant place to stay at a really good price.

We had good servive everything we needed we received with no problem.Easy check in and out .Peaple that brought things to our room were very nice.

We travel a lot and we have never been treated as poorly! The room was not what we had booked, we booked the Dominican and were put in the Jamaican, the lady at checkin refused to even consider there was a mistake, said she actually could not even find we had ever stayed there before. It took a manager to come and find our reservation who still refused to correct the issue so we ultimately decided to accept the room and move forward. We got to the room the AC was broken, running extremely loud, pieces of plaster literally falling off the ceiling and just all around unclean with a foul odor. Then it basically took an act of congress to be moved to another room (which was still not what we had originally booked). Then low and behold we went into the second room the bed was unmade with hair in it, no pillow cases and the bathroom had not even been cleaned urine was still in the commode!!! Went back to the front desk with pictures and videos of both situations and we were given the option to pay $587 more for 3 nights to be moved to the original room type we had booked or forfeit the one night stay and get a partial refund! I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! We opted to forfeit and leave, mind you 8 hours away from home Labor Day weekend and were treated so rudely we chose to leave and take our chances elsewhere! The question is Will the money they lose from my family effect them in any way.. ABSOLUTELY NOT! However hopefully this review can help someone else from being stuck in our situation!

This hotel is going through a much needed renovation. My rating is based on the room we received and the follow up or lack thereof to the concerns I raised at the front desk. We checked into a room with a broken key swipe. While the door locked it was obvious that it was damaged as someone attempted to break in some time prior to our arrival. Once we entered the room one of the interior doors in need of replacement was held together by blue duct tape. When we lowered the Murphy bed we found dust and hair on the sheets. Housekeeping immediately brought us replacement sheets. The air conditioner worked fine although it was louder than the jet plane I arrived on. I brought all of these concerns to the desk manager, along with pictures, and told that they would get back to me the next day to relocate us. I never heard from anyone the entire stay. Upon check out I brought it up once again only to be told the manager would be in contact with me. I have yet to receive any reply. Overall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, daily towel replacement, unclogged drain in tub, friendly and courteous.

Victoria when checking us in was so nice and gave us all the information we needed and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be back to this resort!

I tried to check in at 3pm and was notified that my room was not ready yet. The reservation desk told me that they would call me to come pick up my key when my room was ready. I waited until 7pm with no phone call, finally went back to the desk to find only one person working out of many available desks, and a line out the door of guests trying to check in. When I finally made contact with the person working, they said my room had been ready and gave the excuse of “being really busy” as to why they never called me. Maybe if they had more than 1 person working, like they did when I tried to check in at 3. Also, the elevator in the Jamaica building is inoperable, and the toilet in room 408 is broken because it does not fill the back after a flush. I told the front desk, but there was no interest. The doors are all ajar from the weather, which causes guests to have to throw their shoulder into the door to open it going into the room because the frame is swollen and offset from the doors. Room service does not make the bed, replace towels, sweep sand from tubs or floors, or anything really. They take your trash and that’s about it.

April was awesome in accommodating our requests. Was our first time and will come back again.

What I liked is a very short list, I liked how close to the boardwalk also real close to the Broadway at the beach. what I didn’t like was the fact that no one changed our trash the whole time we were there we had to go down to the front desk several times for toilet paper and I had to grab towels off of the car when the lady wasn’t looking cause she was always passed my room and I never had

When we arrived the system crashed had to wait in line for hours only for the manager to write down my name, said she would call as soon as she could so that I could get the keys to the room. Mind you around 6:10 I was so hot and upset that I actually jumped the line to see what the world could be taking so long only to find that the system was back up and they were checking other people in. It was wild, luckily Veronica R, was so helping and such a wonderful person that she checked me in also while handling another customer at the same time. What a great employee.The pools were DIRTY. Wilddddddd. So I did not get in the pool. I will be choosing a different resort in the future.

The hotel didn’t have many dining options but there’s plenty of good restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Easy check in, plenty to do on property, and the views.. AMAZING!

Location, location, location! This property is truly right on the beach. Its not the newest property but it was clean and well maintained. Its a great facility for families with kids.

Bed comfort was ok, food options well I ask the front desk if the hotel had a restaurant for breakfast and didn’t have any so that’s not good, I have other issue that i didn’t like at all for example that they always closed the gates when the pools were closed and I know other ppl were also complaining about that and we had to go around the public entrance to the beach when for one we don’t have to cuz that’s why I’m paying for my hotel, the dryers were not working, and no blender in the kitchen how can you have a full kitchen with no blender ,the fridge was so little and I went to the front desk cuz my unit was not what I was expecting cuz the pictures show something else and they told me they didn’t no other rooms available , and lastly a couple times when I went to the pool area did not have towels available. So general it a poor experience. So hopefully they can fix these issues.

We love the kitchen which provided us some of the kitchen stuff placed in the cabinet. It helped us a lot. As a family of six, having extra sofa beds gave us a good time to stay together. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool with nice complimentary breakfast. Our over all stay was very pleasant. We appreciated.

Hotel was clean, our room in the Chelsea was spacious, we loved all the separate balconies.. We were disappointed in the entertainment, when I called before we booked they had ensured me they had evening entertainment. And there was not. The bartenders could definitely take a class in hospitality. We did not meet one that was friendly. They were pretty much rude.

Liked - plenty of space onsite to not feel crowded Disliked - very disappointed that there was only 1 person at Tiki Bar/Restaurant through the day, along with no waitress walking around pool...we would have purchased more drinks, but didn't want to fight the line...I have to believe the resort lost many dollars with other people that felt as I did

Location and front desk were great! Having the Sea Capt. House was a plus. Would like to have had beach access for beach wagons and strollers, they only had stairs. Our condo was lacking pots, pans and dish towels but the front desk immediately corrected. We would havw no problem staying there again.

Nice property, conveniently located. No closet or luggage stand in the 2nd bedroom. The guest bath tub had hair in it and there was not a frying pan in the kitchen, mainly Minor items. Otherwise it was very enjoyable stay. Good amenities, food and outdoor bar.

i have been staying here for years and still enjoy the property right on the beach, 2 lazy rivers nice pool, nice restaurant next door.
