Comfortable room on water, Boat Marina and Astoria Bridge view. Off the beaten path. A bit weathered and run down exterior appearance. Free minimal to standard breakfast. Basic fitness room was also utilized and sufficient. Decent value. I would stay here again.

All the rooms have balconies that look out at the marina. You can watch ships going by on the way to docking. The property is older but very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of free parking.

Riverwalk inn great location right on marina. Lots of time time to watch boats come and go. The riverwalk is right there and great for walking. The complementary breakfast was great. The trolley stops right there and was fun. It is not upscale but comfortable, good value and good location. Staff and wonderful. Would come back.

I was hesitant to book because of some of the negative reviews, after weeks of debating I decided to book it. Going into it expecting the worse, we were pleasantly surprised. Great view and there is a tavern on the same block that serves food and also two food trucks across the street. I would definitely stay again. The bathroom fan didn't work but it didn't affect my stay. The free breakfast serves it's purpose. Each room has a small balcony with 2 chairs.

Initially I was disappointed because they charged $25 for getting there before the 4pm check-in although the room was ready. Which I’ve never experienced before. They said we could return closer to 4pm to avoid the fee. When we went to the room the carpet was stained and well worn, another disappointment. But the furnishings were all right, we booked a second floor premier suite which included a 2nd bathroom and separate bedroom, fireplace, fridge and microwave. Two outdoor balconies overlooking the moorage which was very pleasant. The area is located at the more industrial edge of the River Walk. There was a trolly stop and I read they offered free bikes but I did not see any and it was never mentioned. It was bit over a mile walk to the Maritme Museum and Uptown area.

This is a great property that I hope is going to be fixed up. The location is great, beautiful views of the bridge and boat docks. It just needs to be renovated, hopefully they are in process.

Ice machine was always empty, at $270 and completely booked…service it or buy another one. One other thing is early check in, $25 is a ridiculous offer. Reason why is at 4pm you have one staff member and clients out the door waiting to check in for the next two hours. Other than that it was a great property for the fishing clients, but very pricey for the quality

The view and location are wonderful, and the beds were good. The staff was friendly. But the hotel is pretty rundown. The big complaint I have is that because pigeons roost on the balconies there are droppings everywhere and large piles that should be scraped off during room turnover. The balconies were really bad and there was no way to enjoy them and the lovely view.

The room was ok at best. The bathroom was bad, the paint above the bathtub was chipping, the exhaust was not functional at all, we had to open the cistern to flush the toilet most of the times since the handle was very loose. The mattress was good, but we had encounters with spiders a few times. The balcony's view was good, but the condition of the balcony was in shambles. The table in the balcony had 1 leg broken, the chairs were scary to sit, and the overall cleanliness of the balcony was not acceptable. On the bright side though, the food and parking were great. The location of property is very good Overall its an old property and needs a lot of work in the areas I mentioned.

The room was not cleaned properly due to the hotel being short staffed, the bedding was not changed prior to our check-in and had visoble pee on the sherts. The shower still had soap and hair of all "varieties" around the drain and tub floor. The staff was less than helpful and after the 3rd request and 20 minutes in the lobby, we were handed a change of bedding to make the bed ourselves. We're currently working to get a refund.

It wasn't a horrible stay. The bathroom was clean. The view off our balcony (marina) was nice. Breakfast was good. But what is going on with the carpet? It looks like multiple people have met their demise inside those four walls. So many positives about the location and room, but that carpet was disturbing.

We ended up not staying after seeing the condition of the room. The photos online make them look bright, airy and CLEAN, which they are not. Multiple stains on carpet, bedding looked dirty on top and the mattress sunk down in a few places. Dorty upholstered furniture with foam coming out....just NOT CLEAN. We canceled our stay and did refund us without any fuss.

The photos falsely represent this property. Our room had stains on the floor and couch, the windows were seemingly cleaned with a dirty cloth, there were tons of cobwebs and rusty furniture on the deck, and one of our lamps was missing a light bulb. The property is very outdated and not well kept. Additionally, I work in the resort industry and it is Hospitality 101 for front desk staff to not to announce the guest’s room number to the entire lobby for safety reasons, but that is exactly what they did. For over $220/night, the value is not there.

This place was in terrible condition. Filthy carpet & furniture (also ripped), curtains w/ mold, sink didn’t drain, peeling paint. Sheets & towels appeared clean & staff were very helpful in refunding my second night (I couldn’t stay there 2 nights given the conditions).

This hotel, while located right on the pier, was very outdated. Scratched and dirty wallpaper, water damage in the bathroom, no air-conditioning, and just overall a little behind the times. That said, the beds were comfortable and the room was relatively quiet.

The room was comfortable and clean but, really needed updating and the door was drafty and the safety latch was broken off. The view of the harbor was nice but, there was some sketchy individuals roaming around outside. I think if someone invested in updating this place, it could be a really nice place to stay. Breakfast was adequate- nothing to rave about but, we appreciate the convenience.

We had a junior suite - views were best part and bed was comfy. Entire property is dated, the carpet in our room was very worn (to just threads in some area, such that the design patten was no longer showing) and much of the carpet had a lot of stains. It was OK for 1 night, but the place needs a lot of upgrading.

Everything was great except the bathroom (and our neighbor’s bathroom). The fan was too noisy to use (so we had need up with wet walls after showering). The toilet, when flushed, was very noisy. Same for the toilet in the neighboring room. The noise continued until the large tank was refilled. There was also a broken light cover in the bathroom but that was inconsequential compared to the noise. What we liked was the water view, the bed, and the swivel club chairs.

It’s a motel. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the view of the river is worth paying a bit more. No road noise but the walls are thin and you hear the neighbors TV. Breakfast is included and there is a good choice, albeit nothing healthy. Staff are nice and welcoming. The exterior is dingy and rundown. Price seemed really high for an old motel but then again Astoria is an expensive town for tourists. Still, there are much nicer options for not much more.

Although we had a beautiful view of the Columbia River and the Astoria Megler bridge the room was very outdated. The carpet looked to be 30 plus years old, faded and worn out. The bed was so misshapened. Overall the room was not as nice as we hoped but was fine for a one night stay.

The view over the marina and of the Astoria bridge, the wrap-around balcony, and big view windows were all wonderful. The carpet screams to be replaced, however. The room is in desperate need of an upgrade as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. stay

The staff at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn is its best feature. They are welcoming, responsive and helpful. While the inn itself could use a makeover, it is very clean. It is close to attractions and restaurants, several of which are within walking distance. In the summer there is a tram along the waterfront increasing ones no car range which is useful in a popular getaway town with one Main Street. The view of the marina and river appears to be available from each room. We spent most of our time out and about so it was just fine with us. I would recommend this inn to families and couples who are in Astoria to explore the town and surrounding area. We would certainly book here again for future visits.
The staff at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn is its best feature. They are welcoming, responsive and helpful. While the inn itself could use a makeover, it is very clean. It is close to attractions and restaurants, several of which are within walking distance. In the summer there is a tram along the waterfront increasing ones no car range which is useful in a popular getaway town with one Main Street. The view of the marina and river appears to be available from each room. Shortly after checking in, the toilet was having plumbing issues. I contacted the front desk and was told maintenance was only available in the event of an emergency, but that I could come down and get a plunger. After plunging the toilet for 10 minutes, there was no change so I again called the front desk only to be told the only option would be to change rooms. I declined and continued plumbing for another 20 minutes, at which point I solved the issue. On our third day here, I called down to request housekeeping services since they only come upon request, Jasmine stated that no housekeeping services were available, which was a bummer because I was traveling with my toddler. I asked if someone could bring towels, garbage bags and washcloths, and was told no that I could come get those items myself if I needed them. Jasmine seemed quite preoccupied with entertaining her male friend at the desk instead of providing quality customer care. The other desk agent was great, though I didn’t get her name, she did make sure to have a fan delivered to our room and water was provided upon request. Overall the room was clean and quiet, but I’m not sure I would choose this property again.

There's not enough space to explain the disaster and chaos we had with this place. But I'll try to sum it up. Reserved 5 rooms to accomodate my big family weeks ahead. Drove hrs to get to the place by check-in time of 4pm just to be told none of our rooms were ready. We were told it will take a few hours so we passed time to go eat since we were hungry just to come back and c was told the same again. Tired and irritated from the long drive, we still gave the benefit of the doubt and took the guy's suggestion to kill time at the closest shopping area that was a few miles away. So we did. The rest of our party got to the place and called to tell us that none of our rooms are ready and there are others who were trying to check-in dealing with the same thing. It was already late with the sun going down. It was chaotic and the front desk guy didn't even hesitate to cancel and refund us. He told us they were short staff and it will take hours to get any rooms done after we already waited hours. We had to scramble in finding any place that could accommodate our big party and we ended up driving a couple of hours away and end up checking in after 12am. I will never book at Astoria Riverwalk Inn again.

Room was decent but check-in was not good. Arrived around 12pm even though 4pm official check in. First time asked if any rooms available yet. Was told few rooms available. So got lunch and went to museum. Came back around 3pm no rooms available come back at 4pm. Then arrive 15mins prior to 4pm. Was different desk person that refused to check anyone in until 4pm. This resulted in 30 guest waiting in the lobby as one person processed check-in. I wouldn't not recommend this place due to bad customer service.

Reason why is at 4pm you have one staff member and clients out the door waiting to check in for the next two hours. Pretty run down place. Nothing like the photos and quite grubby when it came to cleanliness but what can you expect for a short staffed fisherman hotel. There were a ton of flies in the room by time we got checked in. Checking in took about an hour due to only one person at the front desk and about 20-25 people waiting. Cool view of the bridge and boats.

Stayed here for the Goonies 40th Anniversary. Great location, loved finding out this was where the cast and crew stayed back when filming. I didnt realize the trolley picked up right out front of the hotel until the day we were leaving. Next time I will use that to get to the area I needed to go, it was only a $1. Every room has a balcony.

Initially I was disappointed because they charged $25 for getting there before the 4pm check-in although the room was ready. Which I’ve never experienced before. They said we could return closer to 4pm to avoid the fee. When we went to the room the carpet was stained and well worn, another disappointment. But the furnishings were all right, we booked a second floor premier suite which included a 2nd bathroom and separate bedroom, fireplace, fridge and microwave. Two outdoor balconies overlooking the moorage which was very pleasant. The area is located at the more industrial edge of the River Walk. There was a trolly stop and I read they offered free bikes but I did not see any and it was never mentioned. It was bit over a mile walk to the Maritme Museum and Uptown area.

Great location overlooking the Astoria Marina, with an easy walk to downtown Astoria. Our room was nice, with upgraded features and cute details, but it felt a little run down and weathered. For the price, overall, it was a good stay!

Location is wonderful. I had a lovely balcony with a stunning view. Hotel is ready for a remodel though. For the price Ill take a run a down hotel with a stunning view especially with a balcony over the remodeled Holiday Inn which was actually more across the street without.

Riverwalk inn great location right on marina. Lots of time time to watch boats come and go. The riverwalk is right there and great for walking. The complementary breakfast was great. The trolley stops right there and was fun. It is not upscale but comfortable, good value and good location. Staff and wonderful. Would come back.

The room was comfortable and clean but, really needed updating and the door was drafty and the safety latch was broken off. The view of the harbor was nice but, there was some sketchy individuals roaming around outside. I think if someone invested in updating this place, it could be a really nice place to stay. Breakfast was adequate- nothing to rave about but, we appreciate the convenience.

Note in reception stated due to lack of personnel room service would not be regular and mostly upon request. That was symbolic of our whole stay. First morning at 08:00am already sausage was not available any more for breakfast, nor did the staff have any intention to fix or remedy the situation. We liked the view of the dock from our room. It was nice to have a little patio. The space was good and clean. The only concern is during breakfast they ran out of some of the food - mostly because they are understaffed (as a sign said). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This property is dated and way past due for an upgrade. Our room was $169 + tax per night and was more like a $75 per night room. The bathroom floor needed serious cleaning and the shower grout needed Clorox. The entry door swing lock was fastened with putty. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfy and breakfast was hot.
