What guests think

At Drury Inn & Suites Memphis Southaven, travelers consistently praise the exceptionally friendly staff and the value of the free hot breakfast and evening Kickback with drinks, while noting convenient highway access to shopping and dining nearby.

Most guests find rooms clean and comfortable, with suites offering good space, though some mention dated decor and noticeable road or airport noise depending on room location. Amenities receive mixed feedback: many enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and bar service, but recurring issues include hot tub jets, cleanliness, crowding, and occasional elevator outages. Breakfast and the evening Kickback are widely appreciated for value and variety, yet peak-time crowding, slower refills, and limited allergy accommodation do appear. Expect a good-value, conveniently located stay with a lively atmosphere, best for travelers who don’t mind potential noise.

The spa was hot but the bubbles did not work, and one of the elevators was not in service but the Drury is a brand I trust and stay at every chance I get. It was close to shopping, dining and the venue where our business was being held. Great location right off the freeway with easy access. Even though close to freeway, it was quiet.

We have stayed at Drury Inn multiple times now. Our boys like the indoor/outdoor pool. However, this particular location does not manage their pool well. This is the second time we have not been able to use the hot tub due to babies and little kids being in it. We will not be returning.

So my complaint with our stay is based on the hot tub more than anything. We specifically stayed there due to it having one and the fact we were traveling a long distance on a motorcycle. The hot tub had hot water in it but you could not activated the jets. It wasn't very clean, nor was the pool.

Even though it got an overall 5 there were somethings that need improvement. The TV needs a premium channel like hbo or max. A little less chlorine in hot tub, was very strong.

Property is full on smoker hell and run down!! The minute you step into the halls you’ll begin to notice the smell of incense trying to disguise the putrid smell of cigarettes. The room smelled so bad that I had to leave and book another hotel!! Unless you’re a smoker that likes the run down dirty seedy scene don’t waste your time!!

We enjoyed our stay at this Drury in Memphis. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and the Kickback was great to have in the evening. We did get quite a lot of noise from the highway coming into our room even though we were on the top floor. The hotel is a bit dated too but we were told it will be renovated soon!

My family and I had a wonderful stay this past weekend. We stayed in the 1 bed king suite. I love that the sitting area were seperate with a door for the bedroom. With a toddler we need the space for him to explore safely. Love that the sink and toilet/shower were seperated. Very spacious for the 3 of us. Would definitely recommend Drury for future hotel stays. I bring a sanitization bag for hotel stays and this room was pretty clean though we also sleep on disposable sheets and we wipe/clorox everything we touch. I truly enjoyed my stay here, very comfortable and satisfied customer 😊

I sleep through hurricanes, so I had no issues.

We arrived around 2 am and apparently they lock the lobby doors at 10. There is a phone in the corridor you use to call the front desk to let you in...we stood there for a good 15min before someone answered and let us in. Breakfast was 7 to 10am but they closed it down at 930am so those who slept in didnt get anything. Breakfast was no different than what you get at a cheaper hotel.

We love the staff at Drury Memphis, from the front desk staff, the excellent staff serving breakfast and the 5:30 kick-back, to the maid service. Everyone is so friendly and bends over backward to help us when we are traveling through to drop off and pick up our grandchildren. I am disabled and have walking issues, so the hotel always makes sure that we get a room on the first floor close to the entrance to cut down on my having to walk a lot.

This property is like a gem! I researched MANY properties to stay in the Memphis area, but most of the reviews dealt with windows being knocked out, and burglary to the car. So, I looked at hotel in MS. Chose this one because the reviews were great. Gave it a shot not knowing what to expect. But let me just say that we will be staying here again! Ive never stayed at Drury before, and I dont know why. Now, its my #1 go to when we travel. Great location for restaurants, and easy access to freeway. I could go on and on about how great this property is. Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK Drury. I will be staying again.

If you need access to a Target, if you're okay with standard breakfast buffet offerings (see: eggs made from a powder that you add water to + a waffle station, etc ) included in the price of your stay, if you're traveling with your dog, and if you need to be in the Memphis area but cannot afford Memphis prices, this place is ideal. Highly recommended for long haul travelers.

In a market, where there is not a lot of real differentiation out there, Drury manages to set itself apart, most of all with its evening kickback and also with consistently quality breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms are consistently better constructed than most other brands in this price range. I only wish they had more locations!

Our room was clean and comfy!! We stayed over NYE and the free food at the kickback was gone by 6:30, never refilled. The drink station was manned by one person so we didn’t receive any drinks because the line was so long. They shut down exactly at 7pm, not a minute after. I felt like on NYE they should have had more staff. We were depending on getting to eat and have a couple cocktails on New Years Eve!!
