Please save your money. It was a horrible experience. The rooms were rough! The hot tub wasn’t in working order. The lock was missing on my sister’s door. The ceiling looked like it was going to collapse at any moment where the pool and hot tub were located. It was foggy in there too. We couldn’t sit on any of the chairs because they were so wet.

The staff was courteous. The rooms were ok. No towels at the pool/hot tub area. Garbage was overflowing. The breakfast was barely there. Brown bananas and only cereal and waffles.

The pool had no lights on at 8pm when it's supposed to be open until 11 & the front desk person came down & turned them on since no one has access to turn them on but staff then was told the whirlpool jets don't work it just has hot water.

Everything was nice here. Hot tub was a little green but that might have been the tile in the tub. Clean, friendly staff. Great breakfast!! Would stay here again.

We were a group of 9 that travel through Escanaba every couple years. We will never stay here in the future. This place is run down and way understaffed! The staff that was there was working very hard but there is only so much they can do. Wyndham should be ashamed of putting their name on this property! The place screams of neglect! The water in the spa was dark and dirty! Mattress was sagging in the middle. Towels were clean but the holder for them was falling off the wall as well as the hand soap holder next to the sink! The picnic table outside for guests to sit at was broken and missing an entire bench on one side. Nothing but metal bars and screws sticking out. It should be disposed of before someone gets injured! Terrible experience!

Helpful that it’s right off the highway. Nonsense that I got charged for the room twice. If I could give 0 stars I would. The roof in the pool area looks like it’s ready to fall in at anytime. Breakfast was mid at best, I got an expired yogurt. Stay anyway besides this super 8.

This Super 8 was so much better than most Super 8's we have stayed at lately. It was well maintained and clean. The beds were pretty good for sleeping. The breakfast was not well stocked at 9 AM on Saturday until they came in after we had gotten our coffee and almost left. The guy who serviced it was very busy doing everything.

The front desk staff was very pleasant at check-in. The shower curtain had very evident black mold. I tried to turn the heater on but the smell that came out of it was either in the heater or because the room was close to the outdoor smoke hole. Had to turn it back off and turn on the fan in the bathroom.

The night manager was awesome and apologized when housekeeping did not come to our room. He offered a clean set of towels on the spot. He wrote down our room number to address this with staff. However, this didn't do any good. In the 3 nights we were there housekeeping did not enter our room to change towels or empty trash at all.

We were just passing through and everything from booking, to sleeping, to breakfast was SO easy & fast. The bathroom was spic & span clean - that means a LOT to us!

Stayed at a two bedroom suite. Room was spectacular…BIG, clean, had a kitchenette. Two televisions! BUT only one tv worked. Front desk could not help us. She knew nothing about electronics. Papa likes watching tv; 📺 I go to the pool!

Desk staff was great, did not interact with other staff. Pool area was ok, about as expected for a budget hotel but I've seen better. Continental Breakfest was sad. Didnt bother our second morning. May as well not have one. The room (131) was ok. It was clean, housekeeping did a good job prepping it. The bed was comfortable. The couch sagged in the middle but was otherwise ok if old. Other furnishings were in good repair. The thermostat on the AC unit didnt work right. Had it set to 70, came back to a refrigerator. The TV while having 3 HDMI ports and being a roku TV was bound to the cable box on HDMI 2 with no way to change it. Ended up unplugging the cable box to plug in my laptop. The bathroom was small. Hit my head several times on the shower curtain rod which is mounted two low. The vanity is to small, plan on storing your gear under it not on it. Finally the water tasted funny and got worse when chilled. Overall had a good stay but we where out of the hotel most of the time. If we had used it as a stay in vacation spot, I would have been disappointed.

The beds were comfy, the room was clean and quiet, we very much enjoyed our stay. There is no air however, so if it would have been hotter we wouldn’t have enjoyed as much! We did open our window and slept that way and it was quiet enough in parking lot we weren’t woke up.

The facility just seems old and worn. Thankfully the bed was very comfortable, but we like lights fixtures on both bed sides and there was only one. Also, the couch was broken down and looked soiled. The desk chair was also wobbly and not comfortable.

I was going on a trip to Marquette my girlfriend and needed a cheap hotel to stay at for two nights. All hotels up in Marquette (and a lot of other major towns up here) are fairly expensive so I decided to stay here in Escanaba for a good price. I haven’t had any amazing experiences with Super 8’s in the past, but this one wasn’t too bad. Our room and bathroom were very large and spacious which was perfect. Heating and cooling system worked great for October, and the tv had all the stations we needed. The only issues we had was the shower liked to scream for a long period of time. Probably because of the water pressure going into the detachable shower head. Breakfast was nothing special. Skipped it the second morning. No hot food. Just waffles, bagels, fruit, and some juices. A lot of other good dining options nearby. The money you save going here will pay for going out to eat lol. The bed was very stiff too and the pillows and blankets were so thin. Otherwise this was one of my better experiences with a Super 8. Definitely go here if you just need a room to stay in.

probably the worst hotel I have stayed at in years, 1. shower not clean 2. fan in bath sounded line a 747 taking off 3. no desk lamp on desk so hard to work at night 4. internet kept going in and out 5. breakfast very marginal and toaster barely worked-had to go elsewhere for breakfast 6. could not check out until 7:00 am as night clerk did not have computer access and no other way to receive a copy of bill. had to return after my morning meeting to obtain copy of bill and then there was confusionover my reservation I had confirmed for one night and their comupter said I had extended which I hadn't 7. only one channel worked on TV remote did not alow to return to regular TV

The front desk person was not friendly at all. The rooms were not super clean. We were missing our remote. A pair of underwear and socks wear left hanging in the room. Told the front desk about it and she laughed. Beds are like a rock. Would not stay here again

I was greeted with what do you need. I was trying to check in. First meet, not great. No receipt or discussion of what my charges were. Handed keys and given no explanation that i was put in a different building. No towels in the pool area.

1/5 stars - I would not recommend this hotel unless you just need a bed to sleep in but bring your own clean bedding! Hotel itself is dirty, smelly, outdated, many areas were broken, the parking lot flooded during rain, the hot tub was so dirty, the sauna barley fits two people, our room smelt very bad like mildew, the door frame was broken, the bed looked dirty - we slept on top of blankets we brought with us! The door to the back of the hotel has no locks anyone of the street can walk in and walk the hotel. Also the AC/Heat was AWFUL. Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast EVER & I’ve stayed at over 200 hotels in multiple states. They had a waffle maker which was the only good part. No “hot” food besides you could warm up your own breakfast sandwich from a store bought package. All around was just not good! Very sad and disappointing stay no worth the money - look for ANYWHERE else!

Staff was good, but lots of transients in and around the area. Walter Whites old RV in the back lot probably isnt putting its best foot forward. Slept well in a clean bed. R&R, but no issues. The breakfast was pretty so so.

Cleanliness was so. Room temperature was never consistent. Pool area was shut down spring break week for maintenance but never saw anyone maintaining the pool the whole week. Children could not burn off their energy at the pool so they ran around all hours of the night in the room next door. Homeless dude living on the sidewalk in front of motel.

Great location for an overnight stay traveling through the UP. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable with many updates in place. Quiet, with no noise from HWY 2 traffic.

It is very convenient location for us as we drop off our son or pick him up from Bay College. It is quiet and the pool and hot tub are a nice bonus. The breakfast was good too

Check in was easy and the clerk was very nice. Everything I had asked for when I made my reservation was given to me. The breakfast was above/beyond what most free breakfasts are, we were extremely pleased with the selection of breakfast items. We will be back!! 😃

This Super 8 was so much better than most Super 8's we have stayed at lately. It was well maintained and clean. The beds were pretty good for sleeping. The breakfast nook was not clean. Someone should be assigned to that area during that time, but no one there. Tables should have been cleaned but were not. Waffle maker should have been cleaned but was not. Lots of items wrapped in plastic? Not sure why.

Breakfast area was disgusting and out of everything. Black blown outlets by toaster. Heat and air didn't work on our room. Pool area smelt horrible and hot top water was burning. Not sure we will be back
