I waited over a week to write this, collecting my thoughts and talking to my mother and daughter that were with me. To start off, being across the street from the convention center was amazing, I couldn't ask for a better location. STK across the street had killer food my kid is still talking about, and the the area is very nice to walk at night even with my 11 year old. The hotel itself was okay in spite of itself. I requested a pillow and bed sheet multiple times, at the counter and hotel staff walking the halls. The girl at the counter even wrote a note on her arm the one time to make sure it happened friday night. The first night I made due with the 3 towels in the room as blanket and pillow when nothing arrived well after midnight. The breakfast was a joke and all of the security doors were so secure that it didn't work for nearly anyone who was supposed to be there. The phone in the room never worked, and made calling room service impossible. The room itself wasn't bad, the bed was no where near a king, and the pull out couch is handy other than not having any bedding for it. for few extra bucks, I would definitely have stayed somewhere else. with all of the traveling we are doing these days, I appreciate that the hotel wanted to make sure we had a silly story to remember it, but when I was there to play a competitive game, getting a good night sleep was an expensive missplay with this hotel.

The hotel is clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and sheets. Likewise the bathroom and shower were well maintained. Some of the furniture was older and slightly worn, but still serviceable. A couple of ice machines were not working, but there were several others that were. The complimentary breakfast was good, with cereal, toast and bagels, as well as yogurt and coffee. Couple of different kinds of juice as well. The hotel is a block from the Baltimore Convention Center and close to other attractions. And at about half the cost of nearby higher end hotels. I would stay here again without hesitation.

While my actual room was nice enough, the check-in experience was horrendous. It turns out they overbooked my style of room and I wasn’t able to check in until I waited an hour plus at the front desk. At the end of that long wait, I no longer had a single bed as a single traveler…instead, I had two smaller beds. The lack of air-conditioning in the lobby while waiting for an hour was also awful. Once check-in concluded the room was very clean and the parking garage was super convenient. But waiting that long just to be told they accidentally oversold your room is unacceptable. It put a damper on what was a very nice trip up until that point.

Place was convenient and close to the convention center. Seems to be an old property and could use some renovations. Staff was very nice and helpful.
