Overall, okay hotel with promoted 24/7 shuttle service that wasn't available and higher priced than other hotels. PROS...very clean. Helpful staff. Close to the border (2 miles). Close to the airport (18 minute drive). Shuttle service, when available- see comments under Cons. Comfortable bed, mini fridge, hot shower, HBO on a large screen tv. Room temperature control works, a bit noisy but tolerable. CONS...Shuttle service not available when I arrived in the airport. Paid Uber $35 to get to the hotel. Next two days shuttle not available as it was pre-booked. Higher prices for the hotel than other nearby hotels. Had I known the limited shuttle availability I would have booked a lower cost hotel. Pool, hot tub freezing water (November) freezing cold.

I was surprised to have to pay for parking. The room I was given was a handicapped room and I'm not sure why. It had no carpet and the floors were a little yucky. They had a peloton that worked! in the gym. Loved that. The reception help were very nice.

I came to El Paso on a business trip and had meetings downtown and at UTEP. The hotel is pretty much right on the UTEP campus and conveniently located near downtown. I didn't use any of the facilities like the gym or pool but the lobby was nice and there is a restaurant and bar on the premise. There is a Starbucks about a two block walk that opens at 4am for early birds. The staff was really nice and accommodating. Overall, it was great for my business travel and I highly recommend.

Elevator stopped working. Had to carry bags 4 flight stairs, with my bad knee. Front desk never ask to help & assist guest. Just said they called someone to come fix it. Hair on bath mat.

No luggage carts. No valet for transporting bags to the room, or for parking.

I just unplugged it until morning, but you could hear it when you walked in the room. Housekeeping could’ve noticed and fixed it. The food and drinks were amazing at the bar!! Wasnt expecting to have to pay for parking ($10/day) but I didn’t look before going. Nice area, walking distance to lots of stuff.

The shuttle service (including to and from the airport) was excellent, and the staff was full of helpful suggestions.

Did not like the fact that they now charge $ for parking.

Restaurant and bar area are very nice. Room was okay. Was disappointed to find the jacuzzi was cold and not working. My 10 year old was looking forward to swimming at night but it was too cold. That was the reason for our last minute booking.

We were there for a weekend and I definitely slept well the two nights that we were there. The pillows, the bed and the comforter were really nice. Not sure exactly what it was - maybe a combination of the three. It was in the perfect location for us to be able to walk to a concert at Don Haskins. This is not a new hotel, so the bathrooms could use some updating. The room and the entire hotel appeared to be clean but when you look closer there were things that could’ve been wiped off or vacuumed up. We found some leftover food in the microwave left by the previous guest. Overall, it was a good weekend and a comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

This is simply a tired hotel. It’s old in terms of condition. Our first two rooms were not fully cleaned. Zero vacuuming. Smeared mirrors and halfway cleaned toilets and the toilet was broken in one room and didn’t flush. We had to change rooms. The hallways smell. The food for breakfast was ice cold and flavorless and overpriced. I expected that being a Hilton property it would be much nicer. I hope for Hilton’s sake this property is an anomaly.

We have stayed here many times while our child has been a student at UTEP. It is consistently clean and comfortable. There is a full service restaurant on site, as well as multiple dining options ( many fast food, but a few sit down restaurants) nearby.

The bedding in the room smelled like sweat. It was obvious the sheets had not been changed. Staff was very friendly and changed our room.

We only stayed one night but everything was great! The staff were nice and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Had some gunk on the floor of our room. When I booked it said complimentary breakfast but when we went to breakfast and started eating they came up and charged us 18.50 per person. Was not worth it at all as the breakfast supplied was very very minimal and not very good

Very disappointed with the stay. $10 a night for parking. Exceptionally loud AC unit. Nonstop dripping faucet in the bathroom. Dirty bathtub. Hard bed. Flat pillows. Very unimpressed.

Very nice large room, tv was a great size. Very quiet and very nice area.

The shower head was a little weird and wouldn’t stay in place. The hallways were very warm but the rooms weird comfortable and cool.

This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. There was trust on the fixtures in the bathroom and the shower curtain rob was damaged, so the shower curtain kept sliding down. The ottoman had a button mission. I told the staff about the shower curtain rod, they took down the room information, and nothing changed. The hotel also had a surfer smell in teh hall at times. The best thing about this hotel was its location.

Super comfy beds and quiet throughout the hotel. Easy to relax during a stressful personal trip

Older hotel, needs a refresh of the guest rooms

The receptionist, Megan, did not greet us or even look up to acknowledge our presence. In the room, we immediately find a dead bug on the carpet near the bed and what appears to be blood stains on the mattress. We let Megan know about the room and she did not offer any condolences and instead made it seem like we were inconveniencing her. Megan changed our room and we immediately smell like cigarette smoke in the room even though the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. We decided to just stay in the room despite the cigarette smoke smell because we didn't want to "disturb" Megan anymore. A couple of hours into our stay, the roof starts leaking because of the rain and the leak worsens within only 10 minutes, making the room is uninhabitable. We let Megan know that the roof was leaking in our suite and requested a new room. She was visibly annoyed with us bringing this up despite the fact that we were cordial during all of our encounters. She tried to get us to stay in the leaking room by saying that they didn't have any more rooms available, but we pushed for a new room since it is unacceptable to expect customers to pay for a room that is in that state. Long story short: she “offered” us a different room by slamming the receipt down in front of us and giving us an ultimatum, but she refused to let us see the room and refused to let us talk to her manager, Judith. I tried calling Judith the next day, but she didn’t answer and didn’t call me back. Full review on Yelp

Extremely clean, and the staff was exceptional. Aaron at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. It made our stay in El Paso even better, and will come here again and again.

All staff we encountered was courteous and professional. The room was clean. We did not stay for breakfast the next morning, but they do offer a cook to order breakfast, cost is between $7 and $12 if I remember correctly. I highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn.

Staff helped with returning items we accidently left behind.

The staff was wonderful and helpful by going above and beyond. From restaurant to driver to front desk to night audit. Al were great!

The hotel is very understaffed at the reception desk. If 3PM is check-in time, there should not be just one person checking in guests. There was a line of 10 people waiting while reception took 20 minutes per person to accomodate their reservation. Other than that the hotel is very clean.

When we arrived the service upfront was really unpleasant and seemed bothered by us being there. They helped but seemed forced to assist us. When we arrived to the room it was not clean. In example the sofa bed was dirty. I have photos and video of it.

Male Desk clerk seemed he had lack of training. Also didn’t like the inconvenience of having to return the expired or rancid chocolate bars sold. Don’t mind the price for a FRESH product. Everything else was good.

It is located in a great area near many different restaurants, easy access.

The garden inn is on a side street that dead-ends at an entry to UTEP, so it is unusually quiet and tranquil for it’s locaftion.

Nothing to eat nearby but mainly burgers and tacos. Homeless people hanging around made me feel unsafe getting in and out my vehicle at night.

Loved that the hotel was right at the entrance of the university, and you could walk to where you needed. Also loved that they had a shuttle to and from the airport. A great feature of the shuttle is that they will shuttle you where you like within a certain mile radius of the hotel. Employees were super nice. I did find the hotel to be a little dated Could definitely use some updating.

Went to Sun Bowl game had an amazing time. The hotel is very close to the stadium. The hotel provided maps to get to the stadium. The front desk was very friendly. The check in and checkout was very easy. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. Did not dine at the hotel restaurant so can not review this part.

Great place to stay! Fly in for a skills day at UTEP, location was very convenient!

Great location

It was easy to reach this hotel from the airport, and it is conveniently located with easy freeway access, bars and restaurants, and public transport. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel that takes you to the downtown area and it’s free of charge. The location is also beautiful with beautiful views and the ability to walk the UTEP campus. I will definitely stay here again.

It would be nice if they offered a continental breakfast.

What we did not like was that when we did the search for a hotel, we searched for hotels with breakfast included. This property showed up on the search. We booked and were under the impression we would get breakfast included but to our surprise it wasn't. The property should not show up on those results. Is it Expedia's fault or the Hilton Garden Inn? I don't know. But that was the one thing we asked for and did not get. Bummer.

When I’m in El Paso and I’m too lazy to drive home this is where I’ll stay. It’s close to great restaurants and to shopping and downtown. Their breakfast is WAY OVERPRICED but delish

Parking was easy and convenient, dining choices were very limited and only one person working bar and dining was not good, took a little longer for the food
