Quality Inn Savannah Midtown

Broken ice machine, couldn’t park in front of room door. Best part was breakfast. But ok fir the nights stayed

This was far most the worst experience I’ve had with a quality inn. Illegal activity goes on at this motel.The pool was filthy and filled with bodily fluids. Ice machines didn’t work and the one that had mold on it. The front staff were very rude and inconsiderate and they acted like they didn’t want to be at work. We booked this hotel to have a little getaway for one of my friends that were traveling with me. The purpose was to hang around the pool. When asked if the owner owned another hotel, we were told that he didn’t. After doing some research we found he did and it had a pool. The pool was not open the entire time we were there on our three nights, this ruined our trip and we would have paid a little extra to transfer to the other hotel that the manager own. But the white lady at the front desk just act like it was such a big problem. There is definitely something fishy going on at this motel the police on the premises trash outside , with the horrible experience, I will never book this motel again. And ai definitely never book anything the owner owns for that matter. I truly feel like we should be refunded or have the corporate office call so we can discuss the conditions of this place it should be shut down. I travel all the time and this was far most the worst experience ever. I have pictures as evidence.

The room was nice and clean it had plenty of amenities for the price the pool was nice even had a little workout gym and a hot breakfast for the price you can't beat it.. and the front desk associates were perfect needed an early check in no problem...

I must say for the price you cannot beat it ..breakfast and not a continental breakfast you can make waffles and omelettes the rooms are pretty well kept and comfortable it was quiet... the pool was nice even had a apparatus that handicapped people can even get in the pool and I like that💖💖

Room dirty and in poor repair. May have bedbugs in one of the beds in our room. Carpet filthy, window shades dirty and have burn holes. Hair dryer did not work, door lock broke while we were there. Stayed 5 nights and housekeeping never emptied trash or restocked toilet paper, etc. Mini-fridge barely cooled, one bedside lamp broken, heat/ac unit did not seem to work properly (would turn on and blow ice cold air for 5 seconds then turn off all night long)(we had it set to HEAT!) Bathtub dirty- had to rinse it before stepping in for first shower. We had an inner courtyard room, which DID have a lovely view and pool (too cold to use while we were there but it looked nice) but the courtyard doors to the front desk and breakfast room were always locked (there was a sign on them saying locked, so not a mistake) so you had to walk out to parking lot and completely around the outside of the building to get to anything. Price and location were good, otherwise cannot recommend this place.

For the fair pricing on two rooms conjoined, included breakfast, POOL, it was a comfortable stay! Yet it was definitely dated appliances and hardware throughtout the rooms/hotel. Staff was friendly & kind!!

Had a nice pool and courtyard area

Refrigerator did not work. Pool was green. Hallways smelled bad. Asked for an extra blanket and they gave us a sheet because they didn’t have any. Asked for new towels and gave us hand towels because they said all their bath towels were dirty. Charged me $100 deposit fee for absolutely no reason when the room was spotless when we left.. only slept there, was out and about all day and night. Can’t get a hold of anybody at the hotel to get my deposit refund. Will never stay here again.

Was clean and quiet. Somewhat run down though. My room was all functional but the water dispenser at breakfast was inoperable. Overall seems an older motel being well maintained. Exactly what you'd hope for with a budget stay.

Originally planned on staying 2 nights- but stayed an extra night since the kids enjoyed the pool!

Bedbugs!!!

Immediately upon entering, I could smell the cigarette smoke for my non-smoking room. I called the front desk to see if I could be switched and I was told they all smell the same. We also killed a roach on the ground about 10 minutes into our stay and the bathroom had mold near the ceiling and door frame. The only redeeming quality is that we were situated near the pool and the breakfast was ok. I was hoping for true quality at an affordable price as the name of the hotel suggest but unfortunately, it was very rundown. Location is good, close to Oglethorpe Mall and lots of shopping and restaurants.

Sorry but i had bed bug bites the next day after staying here. They need to fumigate and clean the beds.

Has bed bugs , a few bit me I complained and asked for my money back , was told I could get money back . Didn’t & then was told I couldn’t stay there ever again by management.

The hotel smelt like cigarette smoke everywhere, inside and out. There were 3 different homeless people sleeping outside the hotel and all three smelt like liquor and approached us for money coming into the door. The lady who let us in the door told us that was their regulars and to throw them a few bucks if we could. Then noticed after we told them we didn’t have any cash, they were knocking on hotel room doors asking for cash. We got checked in walked up to our room and found roaches everywhere, pee in the toilet, trash in the trash cans, wet wash clothes in the tub, and of course it smelt like piled up trash and cigarette smoke. We went downstairs to change rooms, they told us they would clean the one we were given but couldn’t give us another room as those were not valid reasons for us to move rooms. So we told her we were just going to check out and she told us if we checked out she would still charge us for the (3) nights. NEVER have I ever had such a terrible experience in a hotel in Savannah. We did leave and pay for another hotel but was in fact charged for the (3) nights at this hotel. It is not a place I will ever book or try again.

Our room did not feel clean at all. Hairs in the sink when we got there, cobwebs on the walls, heavy dust by the refrigerator, mold at the bottom of the bed…my daughter’s socks were filthy from walking on the carpet. And we had bugs in the room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

There were hairs in the tub and in the refrigerator. A man’s belt and underwear under the side of the bed. Mold on the bathroom ceiling

Stairwells smell of urine and unsafe Non smoking rooms are NOT non smoking rooms!

Bed bugs horrible customer service

The hotel was terrible. It was not what it says on the website. It was dirty. The carpet was very dirty. The surfaces and chairs very old and firty. The room was very humid. I would not recommend it to anyone.

A/C was blowing dust to the point we had to turn it off. Only for one night if you cannot find anything else.

Most things were good, but I was highly disappointed with the electronics and the WiFi. The WiFi did not work at all which was a bummer because my reason for getting this room was to work in some things for work and I wasn’t able to access internet ultimately setting me up for failure. My phone was my next best solutions although 3xs more difficult, and my phone ended up dying because the usb port they have attached to the desk doesn’t even work! It was almost like it was a placeholder. Someone should really look into an-bulkier

The breakfast was wonderful - the room wasn’t as clean as I’d like - hair in the bathroom, soap scum in the shower - AC didn’t work great. The people were very kind, and no bad element wandering so ok.

It's a terrible hotel. It is located next to a military base, and helicopters fly over it all night with a terrible roar and do not let you sleep. The residents of the hotel are very strange people, it seems that gangsters and drug dealers are here, All the furniture and carpets are very old and dirty. Apart from helicopters, the air conditioner is rattling terribly. There's something biting in the bed all the time. Stay away from this hotel.

The motel was overall fine, but nothing particularly impressive. It's located in a quiet area, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. That said, the room itself felt very outdated—old bathroom fixtures, a worn-out bed, and a stained chair gave it a rundown, almost creepy vibe. Despite the dated condition, it seemed safe and quiet, which made the stay tolerable. If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night and don't mind old furnishings, it could work—but don't expect comfort or style.

The staff was friendly, but the room smelled like cigarettes, and I found ginormous mold spores the size of skittles in the ac unit.

They are well overdue for some upgrades, the pillows were amazingly soft snd the bacon was good for breakfast.

The staff was rude!!! I checked in early & couldn’t get my key was told to come back after 3 (which I understood). Once I went back I was handed the key but someone was already in the room, the staff questioned me like I knew who was in the room. The more I was trying too explain that it wasn’t me the more they made me feel that no matter what I said they wasn’t going to believe me. At this point please just give me my money back.

The front desk black lady that works in the morning is very rude and nasty for no apparent reason to myself and other guest her demeanor is NASTY her tone of voice is NASTY… she puts people on dnr because of own feelings this hasn’t been my first time experiencing her NASTY ass attitude I’ll never stay here again let alone have my company do business with quality inn as long as she’s with them

I called ahead to find out if there was a shuttle from the hotel. She said no and then hung up on me. When I arrived at the same woman was behind the counter and she was irritable and rude. It was a clunky check in and she was dismissive. When I got to my room it was supposed to be non-smoking and it smelled like smoke. The bathroom drain was filthy and getting to the room was confusing without a map.

The room was FILTHY! Desk attendants inability to make a refund decision.

Booked at at the hotel but was required to input cc #. The booking stated NOTHING WOULD BE CHARGED UNTIL CHECK IN. We arrived and 1/2 the total reservation was already charged to the credit card which we did not want and the rude girl that checked us in refused to do anything and I mean anything about it even when I showed her the guarantee on the booking. We intended to pay cash. She was very rude to us, did not care at all about us, give us any information regarding the hotel, ie: common amenities in or around the hotel. I've never in my 65 years of life been treated so badly and am more that angry about the false claim of pay upon arrival and refusal to correct an obvious mistake made by the hotel. The place was also warn down, broken and stuck bathroom door, nothing for guests like soap etc and having to ask 5 times for towels for the next day because the quality was like tissue paper. Hair in the bathroom, just a disgusting place with deceiving descriptions and pictures. Very unhappy and feeling ripped off. I'm positive the management or owner will not reach out to me over my issues because customers and the condition of this hotel is irrelevant to the responsible parties and they only want as much money as they can scam from people.

Donna, the front desk receptionist, was exceptional - friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

The whole entire day was great. Until the day of checkout. As we were loading our vehicle some of the mail cleaning staff we’re just hanging around our vehicle getting weird. Looks to my girlfriend and creeping her out and even offered to try to help us load our vehicle over the railing from the second floor and I had to tell them two or three times no I have this. It all felt like we were trying to be rushed out of our room, even though checkout was not for another hour and a half. I did report it to the front desk so hopefully something will be done and new training will be implemented to not crowd around the guest and their rooms until it is proper checkout time.

People hanging out and around the property drinking and bumming outside. Hanging outside with hotel room doors open. Would not even go in and register looks unsafe and very dirty with garbage all around the property.

Only issue was shady people were around neighborhood

Convenient location to things you may need while staying and 20 minutes to downtown Savannah and about 25 minutes to Tybee. Good breakfast and nice pool. I would stay again.

Cons: Outdated and run down. The wall surrounding the hotel had may spots pinches and kicked out. One section of the wall was completely kicked down. The wall is of two different materials. One side is plastic and another side of the outlying wall is wood, while a third side is a chained link fencing. The breakfast area is a room that is half used for breakfast and half used as a storage room with boxes lining the wall to the ceiling. Bacon was soft, very chewy, and floppy. I dared not try the eggs. Out of the 3 nights I was here, the cops had to be called by the hotel on two of those nights, bc of fighting in the parking lot and a random party in the parking lot with drugs and a man cooking hamburgers in his hotel room with a portable grill. Now my personal room. Constantly kept finding bugs in it during my stay. Black mold on lamp cover next to the tv. Crack in toilet with black stain in it. Microwave not cleaned out and still on “14 seconds” on timer from staff or previous guest usage. Bathtub had bugs in it and hair and what looked like tiny clumps of dirty spots grounded into the floor of the tub. Drain cover not stuck to tub. Bed sheets had cig burn holes in them even though this was a non smoking room & the bed cover had bleach spots on it. Walls are paper thin. I’m a heavy sleeper but I would be woken up at least 5 times a night from noises. Pros: it’s in midtown Savannah so it’s close to a lot of shops & restaurants. 15 minute drive to Tybee island!

Room smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns on comforter. The tunnel to get to the inside rooms smelled of urine. Didn't seem safe at all. We chose to leave.

The property looks "meh" and a little old/dated, area looks lower middle class, so don't expect a ton of dining/shopping choices or a beautiful area. There is a Publix nearby and few small shopping centers Our room inside looked clean and refreshed. The sheets felt soft and newer and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. We had a non smoking & smelled no odors of any kind. (A big plus for me!) We had a decent size mini fridge with tiny freezer inside, TV, clock, coffee maker with coffee/cups. there was also a comfy swivel chair with small end table, which was a nice addition. We were there 2 nights and had the complimentary breakfast the first morning. The offerings were Belgian waffles, thinly sliced bacon powder tasting eggs, 3 cereals to choose from, coffee with sugar and liquid creamer, 4 different juices and milk/other options in the little fridge along with butter, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast and bagels. It was a decent little breakfast buffet, I would not recommend the eggs though. Not a fan of powdered eggs The staff I encountered were nice and polite as well. My only complaint was the smell of marijuana. Sometimes when the A/C kicked on we could smell it come in from outside.

i like the fact that is centrally located from all areas of interest.

Extremely friendly, continental breakfast, swimming pool and awesome restaurants all in walking distance from the hotel. Would definitely stay there again when we return to Savannah Georgia.

The bathroom had a leak in the ceiling and AC so we had to be switched from our room, there are lots of brown dark stains all over the ceilings, towels, some walls and sheets. But it was pretty quiet, definitely not an area I’d walk around by myself in at night. The breakfast was really nice and finding parking was really easy as well! Don’t think I’d come here again though
