Elevator broke

Light in bathroom rarely worked, elevators were a hot mess and did pretty much what they wanted regardless of what buttons you pressed, front desk was curt at check in. Tv had no sound, and picture was such poor quality it would not have mattered.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. In addition to the cleanliness and friendly service, the hotel had all the amenities I needed -- fitness center, pool, business center, nearby shops/mall and restaurants. On the downside, the water pressure in my hotel room bathroom sink was low, and the lobby bathrooms had no soap in the dispensers.

This was a very poor hotel. One of the worst I’ve seen. Walls are paper thin, gym was inaccessible, staff said they couldn’t even access. Blood on elevator wall or something odd, tv volume didn’t work, etc.

You know what? The property was a little on the run-down side, but it really has potential, or perhaps some investor would pick it up and renovate it. The location is pretty good, the layout was decent, nice pool outside, nice scenery with palm trees, etc. But on the downside, there were plenty of stains in the carpets, the elevators were a little sketchy, the staff at the front desk always seemed to be hiding in the back and you had to somehow get their attention by calling out since there was no bell on the counter. Also, the Internet speeds were terrible, there were sketchy people hanging around, inside and out. Hot water for the bathroom was hit or miss. The TV, albeit new (I was told), almost useless the way it was set up. The guide button did nothing, not many channels, and the resolution was 480i, that's like pre-HD TV days. The phone in our room did not work. Told them about it but it never got fixed. But all in all, I would go there again, the price was pretty decent for the area. As for location, it was easy enough to get to but there really isn't anything within walking distance. There was a gas station a couple of blocks away, and there was a Denny's about a four minute drive away, so that was alright.

This property is run-down and shabby. Even some small repairs are being ignored. As an example, I looked forward to using the large pool, only to find green moss? algae? growing on the side walls. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

I didn’t like that any of the other entrance doors did not work for the key card. I would have to walk to the lobby to get inside each time I leave. No vending machines or ice was available

There was an unpleasant smell in all hallways and elevators. Elevator ceiling tiles were very dirty. Toilets were not properly seated in the rooms. We were originally given a room without a microwave or fridge when the online pictures included these amenities. We asked about it and were moved to a room with both. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The free breakfast was nice. The pool is not heated and needs maintenance (paint and tile repair). Because of the high cost, the smells, and the traffic noise we will not stay here again.

Very shady people hanging outside smoking weed. Inside the room was very disgusting. Room was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Would not stay here again.

Bathroom was dirty

The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The hotel had a weird smell like mold or mildew. I got up late to use the restroom and saw roaches in the bathroom. I also saw them on the desk by the tv. I made sure to shake out my things and check my bags before I left.

Cockroach in bathroom, hair in bathtub, bed was uncomfortable.

Floors in room were filthy, walking around in white socks and bottoms were black. Found a 2” cockroach right before checkout in the room also, had to kill it with the floor lamp. It’s still under the lamp but I doubt housekeeping will ever find it, probably never go in the rooms

There were bedbugs!! Horrible

Dirty and run down and smelled bad

Very dirty. Carpets stained bedding had blood on it. Bugs all over. Switched rooms and the second wasn’t any better.

Hotel is overall NOT very clean! The room had an odor. The carpet is horrific. All of the side/back doors were open 24/7 when you sound have had to use your room key to open them. We went and bought Lysol, antiseptic wipes, and a candle so we could tolerate for the two nights e were there but i will admit we refused to walk around with socks or shoes on (& those socks went directly into the garbage). There were people consistently hanging out by each door at night, smoking and drinking. And the final straw was when we noticed a HUGE roach the lady night we were there (we had seen two small roaches prior and tried to chalk it up to “chance”). Also, the pool is freezing (although, admittedly, I am a freeze baby) and NOT clean which was disappointing since we were here for my husband to attend a work meeting and my plan was to hang out poolside. Finally, the toilet was consistently running which isn’t a huge deal but we did have to keep the bathroom door closed to block out the noise. Oh, FYI, there were like 4-5 tv stations that worked so bring your own laptop or something if you plan to catch up on any television shows or want to watch a movie. Would I recommend? Ummmm, NO! Not unless your stay will be short and you are short on funds (not that it was super cheap but comparatively speaking…..)

Our check in experience was very nice.. most hotel employee staff were very nice! Housekeeping banging on your door at 9am when you don’t have to be out til 11am was ridiculous and uncalled for, plus we asked for 2 new towels and we’re keeping 2 others.. they removed all the towels and left 2, no hand towels and didn’t replenish toilet paper after we asked for another roll. Shower area looked like it was under construction that never got finished, we had a balcony room that the handle was removed so you couldn’t open the door! AC unit would turn off on its own and wasn’t even chilly, all while it’s 92 degrees outside.

The room was nicely furnished and clean, but the TV selections were very limited. Also the shower water did not get very hot. The main door at the back of the hotel did not latch or lock. The bed was comfy and I slept well!

A/C never got cold.

This room had the distinct smell of wet carpet! The shower was really low water pressure. The cable package is comical! Like 1975. No outlet for phone charger near the bed?!?! In

Second time staying here just because of the price. Less than $60 for the night. Still not that clean. In terrible need of updates. Room 219 had a really bad plumbing issue. Tub wouldn’t drain and toilet tank needs a new flap or something. Would not fill and couldn’t flush properly. At least the AC pumped cold this time. They need to test the air for mold. My friend and I woke up with stuffed nose and sore throat.

Shower pressure was awful! Again, the worst TV cable offerings, ever! 5-6 channels for adults!?!?? TBS & TNT had NO volume!!!!!

The property is old. It had a cheap cosmetic “attempt” over last few years. The shower had good pressure and hot water. The bed frame, again, is ridiculous. Extends from floor to knee high a few inches WIDER than bed! Stub toes, bang shins! Mini fridge and microwave old! No settings on fridge? The worst, in ALL rooms, is the TV situation cable, lack thereof! Minimal channels! No, zero sound on TBS!?!? Horrible picture quality! Buzzing/humming sound in background on every channel!!! No idea what kind of “package” this is? Think 1970 red roof inn middle of nowhere I-95

We had a room with a king sized bed on the first floor. There was one night-stand, limited number of electrical outlets ( we had to disconnect the coffee maker to charge our tablets, a very old, smallish TV whose picture quality was dark, and a tub/shower that had no safety grips (to ease getting in and out). We used the pool and were surprised to see the walls of the pool coated with algae (clearly in need of maintenance), had to use the towels from your room - non were available for pool use. When the reservation was made, breakfast was supposed to be available it was not. We had to get Uber Eats (for the first time using this app) to get all our meals. I will say the staff did the best they could in responding in our requests for towels, coffee etc.. The bed was okay but the air conditioner which worked, but was loud. There was a low-backed chair near one side of the bed which was heavily stained, I put one of the hand towels over it to protect my stuff but it was pretty disgusting. Quite frankly, I can honestly say I have never stayed in a hotel that was as disappointing as the 88 Palms.

The hotel is old. They put a little money in 5 years ago? This room, on 6th floor, did NOT smell like mildew. Last 3, on floor 4 & 5, did have a distinct odor! The shower pressure is weak and had warm water!??? Again, worst, most ridiculous part is the “cable situation”!?!? It would be embarrassing for 1974! 2-38(?) with 7-8 channels having no reception! Several duplicates!??? Don’t think ABC, CBS, NBC are included!?!? 2 popular channnels, TBS & TNT, have NO VOLUME!?!??? The front desk told me it’s been a year since key-card entry was available after hours!?!? Electronic readers don’t work!

It’s an old(er) x-Ramada. They spent a little money on common areas/hallways. The rooms are outdated! Shower has minimal to zero hot water! Furniture is nasty(stains!) **most objectionable to me is the tv/cable!?!?? Small tv(possibly a monitor?) that emits buzzing sounds on a lot of channels! Only a handful of channels available! 2 popular(TBS/TNT) channels have ZERO/NO sound!?!?!? That’s an embarrassment. Pillows are miserable.

I was overcharged and still am waiting for the refund, after rudely being told that I wasn't and then they tried to charge more money. Hallways smelled like smoke. Great location. Debbie was very professional and nice.

I dont recommend staying here and it all has to do with 1 employee's lack of professional communication and skills. I've never been treated like i was an unwanted guest in my life until my stay here and interaction with the front desk receptionists with thick glasses. I traveled the world and she was the worst i ever dealt with.

The staff is very kind and considerate, especially Vanessa in particular who was able to help assist my family and I through some booking issues. She was patient and went above and beyond to ensure our concerns were resolved. Though we didn’t stay, we highly recommend. Thank you Vanessa!

Super easy check in. Great staff. Clean and comfortable. Looking forward to return.

Front desk very friendly

Horrible. First room was dirty so we got switched to a diffrent room. That room was equally dirty so we went to the front desk and asked if we canceled would we get a full refund, they said yes so went ahead and booked a diffrent hotel. After paying for the other hotel they told me we wouldn't get a refund so now we are out double. This place sucks! And the night time last working the desk mocked us as we left.

I had to wait for 30 minutes to be waited on. After that terible service, I decided to cancel my reservation. I was told that my reservation was through Expedia and I would have to contact Expedia to get a refund. The itinerary for the stay says that upon arrival you will be greeted by staff. That statement is completely false.

Checkin was easy. Front desk rep was not friendly. Last night of stay was disaster. Key didnt work on door. Went to front desk to get key updated. Hotel rep said someone elsecis in that room. MY room, that I've been staying in for 3 days! They said it was showing ne as a No -Show! How whem all my personal items were in the room??? They said housekeeping took my stuff, packed it up & put it in mgrs office. Absolutely ridiculous! Got new room, spoke to mgr very next morning. She apologized, said she can take off 1 night's stay, but ONLY took off $50. Hotel A/C sucks, rusted doors, dilapidated doors & windows & electrical outlets are dreadful.

Not willing to accommodate when I had to change rooms because the phone did not work and the tv did not work. After 10pm I was not able to get another blanket even after I requested for 1 at 2pm that day. No clean towels for the pool at 11am, & was only 2 other people in the pool area. No snack food on site, no vending machine on site & no restaurant,

Transport access close to airport

This is the relatively recently renovated Ramada Inn. Property is convenient to shopping at outlets, and 10 minutes by uber to Clematis st shops and restaurants. While certainly not a destination hotel, it’s safe and clean and a good deal for the money.

88 Palms was in a good location from the airport for a one night stay. The staff was very lovely. It’s an old hotel- maybe in the process of getting an update- but some exterior doors didn’t open and some didn’t close. The room was “fine”. Nothing extra in them- no office chair, no fridge, no shampoo. Wouldn’t want to stay here more than a night or two, but it wasn’t the worst.

Hotel is 8 minutes away from the Airport which is useful and not bad if you need just a couple of hours of sleep and to shower before your flight

The parking lot drain seemed clogged. There was a large pool of water even though it hadn’t rained. The door was a mess and it was difficult to watch TV as the power would go out. Me wished there was a restaurant or at least breakfast and coffee available

If you need a place to crash, this hotel will do, just don’t expect much. The vibe is like staying at your great uncle’s place: outdated furniture, a faint smoky smell, it’s clean-ish, running hot water and has a bed. Zero amenities: no dining, no water bottle (unless you want to buy one from check-in desk). The staff is polite. For a budget stay, it works.

The only issue I had with this hotel was that they did not serve breakfast even though it advertised that they do. I was upset because I had chosen this hotel believing that they had breakfast. I learned that I would contact the hotel prior to completing booking.

Some of the tv channels didn’t have volume. There is no restaurant! Not enough bathing towels called for them they never came had to go get them. The service is terrible my keys got deactivated before a day before check out the next day. Would not recommend at all.

Very quaint. Clean enough for me, carpet feels a bit stale to walk on barefoot but they are doing well for the size and location they are given. Hallways always smells like laundry and they do offer breakfast I believe for 15$/person

Check in was fine until I got to my room. The curtains was dirty (see photo). Below the curtain had a whole in the wall with the insides exposed. There was long hair on the hair dryer. Even though I wasn’t using it. The ice machines were broken on all the floors that had an ice machine. The free breakfast was basic toast, box cereal, microwave biscuit sandwiches, 3 kinds of fruit. There might have been some bagels and hard boiled already peeled eggs. I was suppose to stay another night but I canceled and stayed down the street.
