What guests think

Across recent reviews, Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel stands out for friendly staff, a lively pool area, and a convenient location near shopping and restaurants, while experiences with noise levels and upkeep vary.

Guests like the comfortable beds and updated spaces, but some report noise from elevators, nearby events or the waterfall, plus occasional A/C, TV, or plumbing issues. Amenities draw praise, yet parking is sometimes tight due to the adjacent restaurant and elevator reliability receives complaints. Dining feedback is mixed: the attached Meat Market is popular, while breakfast availability and value can disappoint. Overall, expect a comfortable, well-located stay, but check room placement if you prioritize quiet.

This is not a four three or two star hotel. It is old and unkept. The property lord and said the pool bar was open and they knew it was from from being completed. The wall are old and na he’s up. No food on site. Business center was down for two days. Shower curtains were black with filth. The staff was nice but they repeatedly lied about business center and pool bar. Also not hot tub, smoke smell in elevators and rooms. The carpet was extremely old and gross.

This was my first time staying since the property was renovated so I decided to pay the $260 for a night to check it out even though some other nicer hotels were cheaper. I had problems with my room which the staff moved me to a new room with no issues. My only complaint is that they sell pool day passes so the pool was crowded and more like a club scene which I didn’t expect. Wasn’t happy paying all that money for a night stay to have a crowded pool that doesn’t allow guests to have peace and quiet. Also hate that hotels charge a pricier rate than competitors in the area just to money grab any other way they can. Won’t be staying here again

Wonderful stay in this lovely property. The only slight downsides were some noise through the late evening from the pool bar downstairs and challenges getting parking close by. Otherwise we had a great time and will happily return.

Hotel parking lot unsafe. Spots immediately in front of the lobby are blocked off for valet. Due to popular attached restaurant guests are required to park in dark remote areas with street access because valet spots ( which are walking distance to lobby) are reserved. Bathroom had ants. Water did not get hot in shower.

They could do better at cleaning the bathrooms. The water is not warm enough for taking baths or showers. Shower head not strong enough. The plug to fill the tub was not working reported it and never repaired it. Had to use a towel and a cup to fill the tub. They don’t clean the bathroom floors unless you ask. Tubs look yellow.

Friendly staff but housekeeping was non existent and there were no viable food options directly from the hotel. The air conditioner was extremely loud and we could hear every single person coming on and off the elevator. I got locked out of my room accidentally and in order to get a new key they had to cancel the other ones, so my husband could not get back in. Overall disappointing experience but the rates were great.

We decided to splurge on a Luxury Suite (room 438) and, after staying in a number of hotel rooms at this price point, I can tell you that this one really fell short of the mark. First off, the hotel was under construction - which is no big deal (I actually received an email from management prior to our arrival alerting us of this, which was nice) - but it left things a little chaotic. We were offered a welcome bag at check-in, which turned out to be a single bottle of water and a snack size bag of Doritos (?). Weird, but a nice gesture. I will say this, at first glance, the room was stunning - big square footage, nice bar area, huge bathroom, great pool view. We were excited about the jacuzzi tub, which was our main reason for booking the room. Upon further inspection, the tub had broken buttons, gross residue on the jets, and sediment came out with the water. Yikes. The walk-in shower, though beautiful, had black mold on the ceiling. Also, whom among us would screw a Target shower caddy to a tile wall in a luxury suite? Plastic & foam cups were a bummer - an actual glass for our drinks would’ve been more on point. Also, no where to plug in coffee maker at the coffee bar. The tv/cable in the bedroom was glitchy and pretty much unwatchable. I sleep through anything, but was jarred awake at 7am by the neighbor’s shower. The water was SO LOUD. Despite my gripes, the hotel room was nice, just needs attention. Definitely expect more from Bonvoy.

Upon check in, we went to our first room #237, upon entering room seemed renovated but a little dated, we tried watching tv but the tv wasnt working so they moved us to another room #243, it appears that the hotel had knowledge of the tvs not working on that section of rooms because when we contacted the front desk, the lady said the tech had told her that row of rooms had tv issues. Then when we moved another room, the room appeared to be ok but then we noticed there was a large ac leak, a bunch of water uner the carpet coming from the ac unit the front desk lady was going to keep us in that room when i initially called until i told her i wanted to move rooms, there was no way we could stay in there when i with a large puddle of water in the carpet that i would have to walk through to get to my bed, so then they moved us to our last room #217, the corridor of this room was horid, the wallpaper was messed up the room appeared out dated and old and i felt i was at a motel 6 not a renaissance hotel. Im very disappointed with my experience and hoping we dont experience anything else wrong here as we are very tired and just want to get some sleep. I do not recommend staying here.

The hotel offered a comfortable stay overall. The beds were especially comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Another positive aspect was the location, as it was conveniently close to shops and restaurants, making it easy to get around and find dining options. However, one downside was the room’s location. It was situated behind the pool waterfall, and when the waterfall was running, it created a lot of noise that made the room less peaceful.

Room was across from the elevator. A lot of noise from talking guests well into the evening. Could hear toilets flushing constantly, again well in to the evening. Not sure where this came from. It took 40 minutes to check in… we stood in line for 15, 20 minutes and then they told us our room wasn’t ready yet. This is about 4:30, rooms are supposed to be ready by 4:00. The people at the desk were incompetent and had to help each other to check in guests and the credit card machine was not working. Then got to our room, took off my shoes and carpet was wet and mushy, gross, there was a manager for cleaning crew by our room and when I said the carpet was….. he said wet and mushy. Like he already knew. They put us in another room. It’s now 5:15 and we have to get ready for a formal by 6:00 only to find out that there is no shuttle, which was stated on the web site. For the price of the rooms and what we got I give it a -1. I have had better rooms for far less. This was supposed to be a 5 star and the rooms are outdated and the restaurant next door was so highly priced. We had appetizers and didn’t 150.00. I will never again stay at this hotel nor recommend it

The staff was not friendly. The service help was loud in the hallway each day at 7:00am. Doors were constantly slamming in the hallway. The elevator was down. The restaurant took all the hotel parking and I had to park on the third floor of the parking ramp. For an older lady, it was difficult and scary, especially at night. The breakfast at the restaurant…I was the only guest at 8:30am…, was horrible. Simple questions to the front desk staff were met with blank stares.

Room was ok, except for some awful smell coming from the bathroom the whole time. They seemed to be doing a lot of repairs. My teen daughter and I ate at the restaurant for breakfast and we were most dissatisfied with this. Server acted like we were an imposition…we were told “no” to just about everything we asked for; cappuccino machine not working, coffee lukewarm, server wouldn’t leave a carafe, asked for cream and sugar and she literally set down a container with zero sugar in it (asked a passing manager for some sugar), ordered egg whites, nope that can’t be done. When I finally said to her “are you kidding?!” To which she replies no, then when our order arrived it had undercooked egg whites! The food was terrible, the server the worst! We checked out a day early.
