I like that I can park right outside my room! It’s really convenient with kids when your loading and unloading the car. I really like that there was a fridge and a microwave in the room too. It was a great place to stop for the night during a long trip. It’s just what we needed.

The bed was very comfortable, the parking lot had a lot of spots and was convenient to a lot of restaurants. One thing I did not know was that it is a motel style with doors on the outside so if that’s not something that you like, I wouldn’t stay there but we stayed on the second floor and I felt safe.

the property is obviously old and some things just can't be fixed. Like the narrow stairs to the second floor. And an odd step down at the top which can trip up. phone message light flashed continuously and no way to turn off. wall mounted air conditioner worked but very loud. metal bed frame squeaked if I moved or sat on the end of the bed. stuff like that. but both the husband and wife who run the placa are very nice. doing their best.

A great value motel in Rocky Hill and very convenient to the freeways. Also, lots of dining options in the immediate area. Clean rooms with outside entrance, and coffee available in the morning in the small lobby. Personable, top-notch owner operator, who is on site most of the time; enjoyed a pleasant conversation with him this morning. Highly recommend staying here if you want to save a few of those hotel dollars for a nice dinner in the area. Please manage your expectations and review the site prior to booking. Highly recommend.

The location and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is limited and does not worth paying for it. Also, they gave me a second-floor room without an elevator. I asked for a first-floor room, but they did not give me one. It was a problem to carry my luggage.

It's pretty spartan. If you're looking for a place to grab a night's sleep and get back on the road the next morning, you're probably OK; I would not reserve here for even two nights. No coffee maker in the room (you have to go down to the lobby for coffee), they advertise breakfast, but it's practically non-existent, TINY shower stall. The positives were fast internet, very convenient location, looked like there were lots of restaurants nearby, there was no noise the night I was there. I had a little trouble figuring out how to turn on the AC, and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, immediately solved my issue.

The check-in was quick. The facility is mediocre. Good if you need to stop and rest for a DAY. Walls are thin. You will hear every step taken from guests upstairs if you are unfortunate enough to be given a downstairs room.

I've been to a few inexpensive motels, hotels and inns but this one might be the best one yet. It's cheap, it had all the basics I needed, everything worked, the wifi was fast, everything was clean, very quiet, the staff was very polite and helpful, and privacy wasn't an issue at all. I really can't think of anything negative to say. A lot of places you see advertised offer a lot less while charging a lot more. If you don't need anything fancy then this place is perfect.

The door to my room repeatedly stuck and would not open so I had to walk down to the lobby (OUTSIDE, it’s exterior corridors) FOUR times to get someone to try to open it. One would think, after the first staff person had to kick it repeatedly to get it to open, that they would offer to move me to another room. That was the night that I checked in. They finally after this happening three more times offered me another room when I only had two nights of a six nights stay left. At that point, I opted not to bother because I didn’t wanna have to pack up everything just to unpack it again for two nights. Additionally, the refrigerator was completely lopsided and if you put anything on the door and then try to open it the refrigerator was in danger toppling over. The microwave, which was part of a combo unit with the refrigerator didn’t work. And the refrigerator door with the rubber seal had all black mold on it, and I had to clean it thoroughly before I would even attempt to put anything into it. I found this odd since the rest of the room was very clean And the bed was very very comfortable.

If you appreciate a hard-working family owned hotel you will feel comfortable here. The staff are all actively engaged in customer service and genuinely concerned for your well-being. After staying in corporate owned Sheraton‘s recently, I have realized that this is the type of hotel I prefer and I see a stark difference in how I am treated there. The corporate owned hotels have extremely Disinterested and hostile employees most of the time. It really stood out to me how these folks have total ownership attitude about their hotel and they take pride in what they own and operate. What could be a more American than that?

IF the lobby was well lit and updated, it would be more appealing & inviting. The dim lobby made me think that the room would be dirty, smell and be dilapidated. The room was immaculate , quiet, and updated with a very comfortable bed.The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt like I was in a safe, but commercial location. Stayed for 3 nights. No frills, but I would stay here again..

It was a fine basic hotel. The only issue is that the "grab and go" breakfast is extremely basic. Coffee, tea, milk, OJ, cereal, oatmeal, Hostess pastries. That's it. Nothing hot, no fruit, no proteins except milk. Enough calories to get going, but no variety.

We liked how convenient it was to park and was close to a lot of places. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The only thing I would change was the breakfast because it was minimal and they should upgrade to actual breakfast options such as waffles, eggs, etc.
