Easily my favorite hotel! Biggest perk for me was that the indoor pool was ACTUALLY warm. So many hotels say heated pool and it is still too cold for my family. This one was perfect temperature–we even brought our 4-month-old in! And there was a movie playing at the pool too! The hotel is also directly across from the aquarium and shops. The staff was all wonderful. And it is very affordable for such a well decorated and clean hotel!

Comfortable beds. But heater / AC unit was noisy, turning off and on all night and keeping me up. Walls are also thin, unfortunately, and we could hear our neighbors. We booked this hotel mainly because of the appealing pool pictures, but the cold pool water was murky, the towels were scattered around, and the deck was generally dirty. We're fine with all the screaming kids, but not with the filth. We would highly recommend a full-time Hilton attendant stay in the pool area, cleaning up. Sadly, we walked out. Also, b'fast buffet area is understaffed and dirty - sorry, but tables should not be left in that condition. Staff in general were kind and tried to be helpful, so kudos.

The hotel is in a great location. The hotel itself is clean and updated, however the room we were given smelled extremely musty. I had a headache after a while. We tried turning the a/c on, but that didn’t help. For the $500 per night pricetag, we could have done better. Disappointed.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location, right across the street from aquarium and village. CONS: room was dirty. Bathroom had a sewage smell to it. blood on the sheets (we were told No one from housekeeping was on. A random hotel employee brought us up new sheets to change the bedding ourselves). Nasty brown stuff stuck to the back of the fridge Fridge didnt work. AC unit was on constantly, even when we turned the temp up to keep it from turning on all the time. And it was very loud! No movies shown in the pool area as advertised for the kids. Asked front desk why movie wasn’t being shown. Got a different excuse every night. it was broken, there was no manager on to turn the movie on, etc. Pool area was dirty. The pool deck had nasty brown water. Pool looked very cloudy and water was really cold. Staff was VERY unfriendly. Blonde girl at front desk was very rude. Didn’t smile at all. Went down to get coffee from the lobby only to find both coffee jugs were empty. Went to let the girl know and she snapped at us. Never said hello to anyone when greeting them, never said thank you, enjoy your stay, welcome, NOTHING! Manager was just as unfriendly and miserable. Tried to address the issues we had (mainly the blood on the sheets) with him and he couldn’t care less. Kept using the excuse and throwing up to us that we booked through Expedia. At one point he even started raising his voice at us.

The best part about this hotel is that it’s right across the street from the Aquarium. Other than that it’s way overpriced for what you get. Rooms are somewhat outdated. Bathrooms tiny, moldy caulking and toilets low to the ground. For $580 a night I expect way better.

The hotel was nice overall. Mystic, CT. Cute, clean, etc. The room was a little dingy, very different from the photos on the website. The thermostat was hanging off the wall and not working, there was wallpaper was coming apart from the walls in a few areas. the doorhnob to the bathroom had a piece falling off. Bathroom light switch was 'tricky'. These details make it feel more like a motel.

Had questions prior to arrival and they don’t answer the phone. Tried all day. Arrived at 2 pm and no one in lobby. Rooms are available and they tried to upcharge me $25 for early check in. Been Hilton honors member for 40 years and they lost my business over $25. Great business sense. She finally and nastily waived the fee because I insisted on talking to the manager. Gave me the worst room in the hotel- it was horrible. Had to complain again to the manager. Finally got a decent room but overall a horrible customer experience.

I was woken up at 8:15am by Maintenace to come in and check the fire alarm. When I asked what was wrong, they could not give me an explanation. Check out is at 11am but a lady knocked on my door 3 times before 11am to see if I was still in the room. I told her initially I was checking out at 11am so I am not sure why she continued to knock on my door but definitely not the service I expect from a Hilton hotel.

Perfectly fine/normal Hilton Property stay. We checked in late in the evening for our one night stay and were told we’d be fine to check out an hour later than standard, at noon the next day, by the front desk staff. The next morning housekeeping began knocking at 9:00am. I had forgotten to put the privacy card on the outer knob— my fault completely—- so I simply told her we wouldn’t be checking out until noon and that the front desk had approved a late checkout. She came back again at 11:00 and began knocking. I had to interrupt a work zoom meeting to reiterate that we were approved for a late checkout and would be out by noon. Other than that, no complaints.

We were met by a disinterested host who claimed full capacity, so we were shafted into literally the last room at the end of the hall, on the first floor facing a parking lot with a blaring neon light. Add in that maintenance started nailing whatever in the room above at 8am and we were asking “where is the love?” Obviously it wasn’t booked the night before to start maintenance that early. It was troubling that we were asked several times if we booked directly with the hotel chain, as if we should have. What was more disturbing was the over-sell of the property. Instead it felt like a Disney facade on a tired motor motel. Just compare the pro shots they promote to the real shots we attached. NOT A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. If you want to be mistreated and ignored this is the place for you.

Our dinner at the hotel was not what we excpecte. My chesse mac and short ribs was delicious my husband had Prim rib and a bake potato was less then room temperature. He did inform the waitress after we paid the bill. The Prim Rib dinner was a great disappointment therefore we did not eat there again during iut stay.

The overall impression of the Hilton Mystic was decent. It is a modern, clean, and easy to reach hotel. The check-in was nothing short of fantastic. The room, however, was adequate at best, the bed uncomfortable. The service in the bar, there for a beer around 9:00 p.m. was simply deplorable. I finished my beer and waited ten minutes for someone to attend me. One of the two bartenders was too busy watching the football game on the other side of the bar.

Our room had dirty forks left from the last person. The guest service person who checked us in was clearly not happy with her job. She over charged us. The room had staples from the rug poking up. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast and the waitress was extremely rude. She even yelled at her co worker. We tried again for dinner and there was hair in my food. Not a pleasant experience at all. Very disappointed.

The rooms, lobby, and grounds were very nice. Breakfast at the hotel leaves little to be desired. The service at breakfast was horrible. Not getting drinks, silverware, extended wait when there were only 4 tables dining. The table that came in 20 minutes after us was served before. When I complained to the front desk they were very accommodating and comp’d the meal, only to be charged for it the next day after leaving.

The Irons restaurant in the hotel was mediocre, yet convenient. Breakfast buffet is worth it. But dinner wasn't impressive for the price. The hotel itself is good for a weekend getaway. They have several meeting rooms for corporate events as well. We had requested a crib for our 21-month old. They provided a pack-and-play. For that, I'd have brought our own. So I wish we'd have known that prior to arrival. Is what it is.

We never stayed. We walked in aghast and not knowing if there was another option, I checked in and paid. Left and immediately found a Hilton up the street. This place should not be in business. Run down, thought it was a vacant building it looked so bad. Inside smelled of mold with buckets in the lobby catching whatever was dripping from the ceiling. Awful!
