Guest reviews of Cliff House at Pikes Peak

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At Cliff House at Pikes Peak, travelers highlight a charming historic atmosphere, exceptionally friendly staff, and a prime, walkable location in Manitou Springs, with comfortable rooms that often feature fireplaces, jetted or steam showers, and inviting veranda dining. Parking is mostly valet and typically paid due to limited street options; amenities beyond dining are modest for a historic property. Some guests report age-related quirks such as noisy or inconsistent HVAC, plumbing or in-room features not working, occasional elevator/key issues, and sporadic cleanliness or upkeep concerns. Expect character-rich comfort, attentive service, and a walkable base, with trade-offs typical of a beloved older hotel.

Hotel is currently being renovated with miter saws roaring right behind the front desk when you check in. The building is historic and beautiful. The Montana Bar is renovated and nice. But the cocktails are over priced and staff is still clearly being trained as evidenced by the the bartender reviewing instructions on how to make the signature cocktails on the first page of their menu.

Nice old hotel undergoing needed renovations. Room was kinda small. Bathroom had that musty smell. Carpets throughout hotel are old and dirty. Staff great bar very nice. Main restaurant closed although serving its menu at one of the bars. Great location to all of manitou and surrounding area. When renovations are done I would likely recommend. At this point i would not.
