The service at the hotel felt old fashioned in the best way. Staff was friendly and accomodating, the way service should be. The hotel itself had old school luxury and charm and the entire experience felt special. Included amenities like a champagne glass on arrival and 24/7 coffee made it feel resort-likw. The location is very walkable to everything in downtown Denver. A great hotel experience overall!

Staff was great. Rooms were great but want others to know there is No parking. Had to go across the street into a garage. No microwave in room or in hotel. Everything else was great. I would stay again.

Can't beat the location if you're walking to the theater for a show. Room was very nice. Only one elevator was working and it took a long time so it was a process at times to get to our room. Main area of the restaurant is under construction so very limited space for dining but once we did get a table the food and service was excellent.

The staff was absolutely amazing! The location is convenient for all downtown activities and offers a courtesy vehicle within 2 miles of the property. The king room was wonderful and the balcony was definitely a plus, will definitely stay here again!

Consistently polite, pro-active and smart to everyone in every interaction (more than comparable service to the lauded service in the Big Famous Really Nice Place across the street). Great location to access all downtown places, and access to transport.

We got back to our room from a sporting event to find cockroaches running around our room. First of all I didn’t even know Colorado had cockroaches. Second of all a 300 dollar a night room should definitely not have them. Needless to say even though the hotel staff offered to put us in a different room we vacated the hotel. So gross

Just had issue with half the linens were dirty or stained, and the room seemed a bit run down, staff were lovely. If there was more options for what you can order foodwise I would have gotten room service but the menu was so small I didn't feel like getting anything

This place looks nice in the photos but it’s not clean or well kept. Dirty and old. Roach in the bathroom. Not worth the money. Room was hot and they had to bring in a fan. Did not keep it cool enough. They told us before we checked in that ppl prior to us complained about the hot room so why put us in it?? Then they said it was the only room available. But after me, a man came down and switched rooms so that was not true. Overall, bad experience. Coffee in lobby was best thing about it.

There was a cockroach in the stairwell when we used the stairs to get to the lobby, due to the elevator not working. The 6th floor where we stayed smelled like sewage in the hallways. No ice machine. I had to go to the front desk and ask for ice. They were nice and got me a glass from the kitchen.

The hotel had a leak from clogged pipes draining into the lobby, which wasn't its fault, but not a great impression. The air-conditioning didn't work in our room and a maintenance man got it to cool a bit, but not to satisfaction. The glass shower door has too wide a gap at the bottom causing a small flood in the bathroom. The bathroom floor tiles have been flooded too often resulting in mildew stains. The complimentary happy hour only had 2 types of beer and chardonnay. They had a large crowd in the hotel, ran out of wine glasses and gave me chardonnay in a coffee cup.

During our first night in the room, the water from the bathroom sink and shower was only lukewarm. When using the shower, water leaked to the bathroom floor because shower door had a 1/3” gap and was not able to close completely. Rainforest and handheld shower heads did not work independently -- they must be either both on or both off. We found soap scum and hair in the bathtub. No slippers. Safe did not work and hotel maintenance could not make it work either. The next morning, the hotel front desk attributed the lack of hot water to water-heater problem for many rooms on the same floor. The hotel was able to relocate us to a different room the next day. This time around, the bathroom sink and the shower had hot water, shower heads worked properly, and slippers were available in the closet. Unfortunately, next day morning we found a large cockroach on the bathroom counter. Hotel staffs were professional, courteous and helpful. It is regrettable that the hotel’s poor conditions made their jobs unnecessarily difficult and challenging.

Hotel is an old building and very charming. We stayed on the 9th floor because the listing said it had a balcony. Note that the balcony is very cool, but it is not necessarily private. The balcony wraps around the entire top floor, so you can walk around and pass everyone else's rooms (although I did not see any other humans out on the balcony during our stay. If you are on the West side of the building, you will have a view of the mountains (we were on the East and saw buildings). The bathroom was great, loved the spa shower and bath tub. The coffee shop in the lobby is excellent. Also the Nickel restaurant had nice breakfast food for purchase. The staff was so friendly and helpful. A few small complaints.. The mattress was lower at the head than the feet, from what seemed to be many years of use. We stayed during some snow and the room got very cold at night - the the thermostat read 62 degrees even though we had it set to 80. I am guessing this might be due to the building being old and drafty. Both of these resulted in less than desirable sleeping conditions. Complimentary breakfast included orange juice and a burrito. Both days we tried to get burritos they were out of regular ones and only had vegan and gluten free options available. I had a little bit of an upset tummy after the gluten free burrito, although it was tasty. I would stay here again, but next time ask for a West facing room and check on the mattress condition and thermostat.

Booked a room for two nights. The first night the room did not get below 72 even though the air conditioning was on. We were moved to a new room for the second night and the air did not appear to work in that room either, but the room did not get above 68. Overheard another guest complaining about their room being hot as well. Rooms were clean and hotel staff was great. Convenient location to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, but it was not worth the price even without the temperature issue.

I feel bad for the staff that has to deal with the many complaints they get for the lack of air conditioning. Staff was trying their best, but coming to your room at night to go to bed and it's 81 degrees (even with the portable AC they wheeled into the room) is not acceptable. After 2 nights in the sweltering room, they were able to relocate us to a room with working AC.

We just want give a special mention to Matthew. He has made our several last visits feel especially comfortable and enjoyable. We have observed him resolve several off hours situations with a level of skill and tact uncommon in today’s world. Matthew is the reason we return to The Teatro when we are in Denver.

The room was perfect bed very comfortable. Morning shower water hot water came and went just 1st day. The front desk morning clerk and night clerk very rude. Vallet and the cleaning ladies were much nicer. For these hotels that cost so much a good hot breakfast should be included but of course you have to pay for it unless you want a store bought burrito that is microwaved. Great distance to everything so we loved that. Had to ask for a microwave again for as expensive as it is lower costing hotels you get more for your buck. Need to work on hospitality they talk to you like your dumb if not dressed a certain way. Just cause I don’t dress rich doesn’t mean I don’t have money. Everyone deserves the same respect.

It was just ok. We have stayed at many boutique hotels in Denver & can say we won’t return to this one. The valet, check in & restaurant staff were all exceptionally kind and provided wonderful service & we were very pleased with everyone we encountered. The room, even though a little dated, was quite comfortable. The issues are with service. And, to me, service and treatment of guests is paramount. It’s what brings us back to a property again and again.. and, we travel often. If you encounter even one bad service experience, it will ruin an entire trip.. and, sadly, that is what happened. We kindly asked for a late check out the night before and were told we could have just an extra 30 minutes. That wasn’t much of an offer given our Expedia membership level, but is what it is. We were promised it was noted and we wouldn’t be bothered, which is something I dislike very much after I’ve been granted a later check out. But, sure enough, there was a knock on the door at exactly noon & no regard to our late check out. Then, at 10 minutes past our late check out time, a manager barges in the room, gives me a dirty look, tells me there is a charge for anything past the checkout time, and throws the do not disturb door hanger on the floor. Unacceptable. There are better ways to talk to guests, especially given we were just slightly past our late check out time by only about 10 min. Sadly, it ruined the whole experience. Choose your words, your tone and your behavior better.

This hotel is beautiful. We have stayed many times. The front desk staff during this visit was very quiet, difficult to understand, and did not share about the amenities available to guests. We had to ask about each amenity on property and had no guidance about hotel information. They also were unsure about our Expedia benefits. Hoping for an improvement in the check in experience.

There is a person - who I believe was the manager (if he’s not he should be)- named Matthew who was extremely attentive, seemed to be working all hours, and was constantly checking with guests to ensure their needs were being met. It was extremely evident that he took great pride in the hotel and the job he did there. Really rare - never experienced it before - and not because I have not been to nice hotels, but just didn’t think this kind kind of attention existed anymore…..and the rest of the staff was similarly great as well. Our favorite Denver hotel!

We have stayed at the hotel Teatro many times over the years, it is a lovely hotel with a fantastic restaurant bar and a really nice lounge coffee area. The beds are comfortable and it's very quiet. The location is great too. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating.

My wife and I were in Denver to attend the Ballet at the DCPA, we usually stay at the Embassy Suites on Stout St. we have eaten at the Nickle before and were pleased with our meals. I decided to book a room at the Hotel Teatro this trip and I am very glad we did the hotel is lovely, we had a very nice corner room, the staff was outstanding and we enjoyed yet another meal at the Nickle

Hotel Teatro is conveniently located next to th Denver Center for Performing Arts and only a few blocks from the Convention center. The staff is all freindly and personable. Great lottle hotel.

This is a great place to stay, especially if you are headed to one of the events at Ball Arena! Easy walk, so convenient, has a great lounge/bar/restaurant. Highly recommend this beautiful little boutique hotel.

This hotel was so awesome! Loved the theme, restaurant, staff was SO nice and accommodating. We stayed 4 nights, no issues and can't wait to return. Love the separate shower/bath. Room is adequate size and the whole building is just really cool. Will be back when we're in CO again! Great location, too, walkable to theatre, food, shops.

Such a nice hotel, very quaint and charming. Loved the lobby/coffee shop vibe and enjoyed live music on Friday night! Room and bathroom were clean and the bed + pillows were comfortable. An easy walk to Ball Arena and felt safe in the area. Not too much street noise. 10/10 would recommend and would absolutely return!

The food at The Nickel on-site restaurant was fantastic. As were the drinks at the bar! And the staff were wonderful as well. The only issue was hvac. Not sure if there was an issue or just the classic nature of the building, but our room had a small portable room ac. It did enough of a job that we didn’t bring it up. Great hotel otherwise.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. Check in was quick and easy as was check out. The valet was good too. The only thing we didn’t like was the Nickel restaurant inside. The hotel gave us $10 off coupons and we attempted to use it but there was a new system that management didn’t bother to train their people on. They had a very limited breakfast menu as well and when my wife ordered a latte and an egg white omelet she was told the latte machine wasn’t working and there was no spinach for the egg white omelet that was part of the ingredients and the waitress offered to substitute it with “spring greens”. Unacceptable when you only have a few things on your menu in the first place. Finally because they don’t apparently train their staff on how to redeem the $10 coupon we had to sit there and wait for twenty minutes while they figured it out which they didn’t. My wife called them out on their incompetence and after waiting even longer the manager?! brought our credit card back to my wife and put it on the table and just said “Your meal has been comped” and walked away without so much as an apology for making us wait a half hour after giving my card to the waitress. Unacceptable and reflected badly on the hotel though it was the Nickel that was poorly managed.

Awesome location near DCPA and walkable distance to Larimer Square. Staff was awesome, friendly, and helpful. The Nickel brunch was fantastic. Room was nice, modern, and had plenty of outlets and built-in USB chargers.

The check in experience, valet, and room were as I expected from past stays. The Nickel restaurant was nearly empty and understaffed - apparently. The feeling I had was they were cutting staff or something. I waited at the empty hostess stand until I gave up and went to the front desk and asked what was up.

I love this hotel. The rooms were terrific and had many amenities. The restaurant they had on-site was the Nickel their breakfast was delicious. The staff was so kind. I would book again whenever I'm in Denver.
