On arrival were given an upgrade to a “King” room which was unexpected but welcome. Staff on reception friendly and polite. Unfortunately the room wasn’t great. Main issues were that the drapes/curtains were stuck in their track so couldn’t be fully closed at night. Also a previous occupant of the room had left spicy takeout food in the refrigerator which stunk so we had to remove this and take it down to the bins at street level- but the refrigerator still smelled afterwards making it unusable. This basic check really should have been picked up by housekeeping . We were on the 14th floor- after an early start and walking around Denver all day we went back to the room late afternoon to relax to find housekeeping hadn’t been - but they then knocked the door at around 5pm ! Surely housekeeping should be done after the guests have left for the day in the mornings when the room is in use ! The free breakfast was reasonable and 24/7 coffee in the lobby was appreciated. Unfortunately however there was no checks done by the staff about who was having breakfast and we witnessed several people who clearly weren’t guests ( homeless) coming in, filling cups and plates with food and then quickly leaving. Didn’t create a great impression. The main positives were the room was big, the shower in the room was very good and the location downtown means everything is easily accessible. Value for money was ok - but next time I’d pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else.

Great clean hotel with all kinds of entertainment, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Right by the 16th st mall with the street car that can take you straight to the train station. Rented a car but didnt really need it since we could walk to most things. Will say parking wasn't cheap .

Parking is very expensive. I'd look for a. Close by lot. Breakfast was so so but about what you expect from this level of hotel. There are decent options but most of the hot food wasn't very good. Highlights are the pancake machine and the cinnamon buns. Rooms are a bit of and generally lack useful outlets especially near the bed. Mattress was really bad and I'm usually not super picky about them. The biggest plus was location and price. If the bed was better I'd rank it a solid budget option

I booked this for my wife and first room she got into had no AC. After a couple hours they moved her to another room. The next morning in there new room they found they had no hot water to shower. At best it would get room temperature. Staff wasn’t nearly as helpful as they should have been

This hotel needs a lot of maintenance and updates. AC in the room hardly worked, had to complain 3x then staff brought us a box fan and it was still hot and stuffy in the room. Very miserable. Phone in the room didn’t work, phone next to the elevator didn’t work. Had to run to a few different floors to find a working ice machine. We left a day early, for obvious reasons, and one elevator was working then. 3rd party tried to call hotel to ask about a refund for leaving a day early and no answer, representative left a voicemail and sent 2 emails. Haven’t heard a response yet. I asked the front desk and mentioned the voicemails and emails, her only response was that she would let management know. I called Holidays customer service and they’ve had several calls and complains about all the issues I’ve brought up.
