Right around meeting expectations. Staff was friendly. Room was fine enough. Fitness area was kind of a joke, 10 and 15 lb dumb bells were the only options besides very basic equipment.

Simple but clean and nice - perfect for an overnight stay in the South Bay. The patio area is very nice, amenities that work for me!! Snacks and drinks for purchase, a couple of table top games, outdoor fountain and fire tables. The water pressure was good and the bed was comfortable.

The parking lot is secured by a gate and requires a 'key' to access the lot. The lounge area is cozy (and has a nice chess set)and has a nice outdoor area for entertaining. The staff, receptionists, maids and utility guy were very nice and helpful. We had 2 friends over and we ate in the lounge and they gave us plates, forks and napkins for food we had forgotten. The rooms are clean and we were greeted by a towel folded into an elephant and swan. No microwave in the room but the lounge has one, which really was good enough. The room was roomy with a large tv and frig. No view if that is important to you. No cafe but has a small snack "store" and has hot water for coffee and tea. No pool or jacuzzi but has a weight room. If u need a safe, relaxing place to stay in Torrance, this is the place.

Stayed there many times,I know what to expect.Clean and comfortable,free parking and convenient for when I’m in Southern California.Just wish they would get breakfast back,many hotels have after Covid.Will definitely stay there again.

100/10 I would totally recommend this hotel. Not far from Del Amo mall. Gated for parking needs to be safe and secure. The rooms are very nice and elegant as well as lobby. I would be booking here again for another stay. :)

Awesome stay in this hotel. The hotel atmosphere are very comfortable. Especially during the night time sitting outside around the fire. Few nice restaurants is walking distance , my wife and I love the bubble tea and ice-cream just opposite.

You can miss the turn onto the property pretty easily. It's a nice boutique but reminds me of all the small inns you'll stay at throughout the country (2-stories). They have a dining hook-up with a nearby cafe that delivers for free so it's convenient. You feel safe in that secured area. Could probably walk but probably shouldn't because of cars, not so much a safety issue. Conveniently near Del Amo mall. Would be better if they had more/better amenities. Gym was really small, the size of your hotel room (converted). I'd stay again, though, and that's really the main thing.r

The check in process is smooth. The staff and management are great and very friendly. They are accomodating and helpful. The lobby is modern and has a cool opening to outdoor that has great seating area. The hotel ingenerally quiet. Most guests are adults and business professionals, considerate. Not really a kid friendly hotel, which is nice. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable, no pool which is also nice keeps noise to minimum. Simple ammenities more just necessities, but evrything easily accessible.

Have stayed here before. Cute little remodeled place. Get rid of the fake flowers in the room though. Long hairs left in all my towels. Door to my room seemed like it didn’t close all the way. Good area though. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

The hotel was ok, small lobby but nice decor. Room was ok. The toilet handle didn’t work, we had to pull the chain in the water tank for it to flush. Then when we laid down on the bed to sleep my husband felt something on him. His side of the bed by his pillow had a bunch of tiny ants! Called the manager for a new room but they were sold out. He had housekeeping come and fix the toilet and spray the bed. We weren’t thrilled about sleeping on that bed, but we didn’t have a choice. We left by 7:30 am!

Super cute and remodeled. First time I liked it, but this time saw more. TV is not set up for current streaming and bad line up. Plumbing- shower pressure is horrible, it’s loud and the towels are clean, but deep ground in stains on white towels. But the bed was very clean and whole room was. Also staff on Saturday not as competent as Friday when I checked in.

Check-in was easy and the desk staff were friendly. The air conditioning was dusty and was only felt on the bed closest to it.. it didn’t cool the whole room so it felt muggy. The floor was also so dirty/dusty that our socks became filthy.

It’s a converted motel so having hotel in its name is deceiving. Tile floors in room were extremely dirty. I had to lay down towels to keep my feet and socks from turning black.

My room really needed attention. It could use a deep cleaning. There were dead bugs on the ceiling in the bathroom area and in the bedroom area, the baseboards were dirty, there was water damage in the ceiling near the thermostat, there appeared to be some mold in the shower area. There was a stain in the shower area that was questionable

Some updated features like flooring and wall paper but otherwise it’s old, grundgy. Finger prints and dirt on the doors/walls and furniture, mold in the shower. Hair on the floor when I walked in, so pretty sure it is not well cleaned….and ants! Will never come back.

The hotel is centrally located in Torrance. There is gated parking. The lobby is open 24 hours. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is excellent, great water pressure. The soap, shampoo and conditioner is wonderful by Bath Works Stress Relief. I highly recommend The Bluestem.

Nice common area. Surprisingly a lot of mosquitos-which is weird bc it was all concrete. Biggest disappointment was the noise. There was a super loud motorcycle revving outside of our room late at night.

Refurbished property. Privacy Gate off Sepulveda was nice...when traveling and having lots of belongings in car. Recommed getting a top floor unit....we could hear every step of those above us.

Not as impressed as the website let us to believe. A couple little pet peeves. We will put in room 101 which was literally right next to the gym and the room smelled like a gym. It smelled musty all night. The pillows. For some unknown reason, they want to use these tiny little pillows and put about eight of them on your bed. That’s great that they give you so many but give me a regular size pillow, please. They have a weird little cocktail machine in the lobby that the hotel desk clerk makes a cocktail for you with. There were four choices of flavors but they were all pretty much just straight liquor in a cup. Not really worth 11 or $12 apiece. Finally, and totally not their fault, but the power went out for a couple hours so we were left stranded in the dark. Fortunately power was on just a few blocks up so we walked up to Subway and hung out there. Again, the power wasn’t their fault, but just sort of added to an already somewhat disappointing day. I doubt I’d go back.

The staff are great -very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and attractive. The walls and ceiling are paper thin. Our upstairs neighbour paced back and forth over his squeaky floor all night, keeping both of us awake, and the air conditioner was loud. If it wasn’t for the noise, this would be an excellent hotel.

Room was nice, staff was definitely an issue. Overnight staff member Mamantha did not know how to use the computer. Didn’t know the prices of food and beverages items being sold in the lobby. And refused to let us use tab pay, although we used it prior when paying our deposit with a different staff member when we had arrived. Then blamed us for using it and claimed now lm going to get in trouble”…. Excuse me? Took 15 minutes to purchase a water bottle and soda from the lobby…

I have stood here in the past and it is a very convenient location for me especially after a long 6 hour flight. The room this time around was not as clean as it has been in the past and i also asked for some flexibility for check out. I arrived really late and just needed if possible at least 30 more mins to get my stuff ready and check out. I was told i couldn't and it was also followed up by a call to make sure i would leave the room. I did not recognize anyone from the front desk so maybe they are new but it was not the customer experience i was use to. Still a great place because of location.

We requested early check-in for our guest. After receiving confirmation from the hotel for early check-in, our guest got to hotel at 1:30pm. At arrival, hotel stated the system was down and could not check the guest in early. Guest waited till 6pm to check in. Front desk stated that they could not check in, since the guest last name was different than booking although the guest's first name matches and guest has actual reservation paper with her. Hotel front desk was rude and didn't provide any solution to resolve the issue. Our guest was so upset at that point and left the hotel to check in to another hotel. Hotel didn't refund our reservation for 2 rooms.

The stay was great. We had an issue with our rental car so we had to uber to the hotel with all of our luggage (8 bags) early in the day. I forgot the name of the day shift employee at the counter, julie maybe, but she was fantastic. Very nice, professional and understanding. There was a gentleman working with her also that was very helpful. We were about to leave our luggage at the property and find something to do until our room was ready, but then we were told our room was all set and could check in early. We were essentially stranded at the car rental property, then in the hotel lobby with my family of 6 with all of our bags, and julie, lets just call her julie, if thats not her name, noticed and was able to go above and beyond to get a room ready for us. Well before the checkin time. The hotel property was great all around. Thank you to the employees and their hospitality that turned the beginning of our vacation from disaster to very pleasant.

The room was exceptionally comfortable and provided everything we could have desired. The complimentary parking, with ample space, was a significant advantage. Furthermore, the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. It was a wonderful experience, and I certainly plan to return.

For the price, I just expected to be more cleaner. The shower was very old and outdated paint and stuff was coming off the floor that you have to step on. The phone did not work staff at the front desk was very rude and asked if I could just use my cell phone

This place was low-key and really nice! I never knew there was a hotel like this in Torrance, and I’ll definitely be coming back. The property has a gate, which adds an extra layer of security for both your car and room. The rooms themselves were surprisingly nice and had a unique charm compared to other places I’ve stayed in LA. It’s not luxury, but it strikes a great balance between affordability and thoughtful design — the decorations give it real character. Location-wise, it’s right in the heart of Torrance, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and easy freeway access. The staff were all super friendly and respectful, which made the stay even better. They also have a cozy lounge area that looked perfect for working during the day — lots of sunlight — and I could totally see myself grabbing a beer from the front desk and relaxing there.

I absolutely love this property. So clean so spacious. Parking is great and free! It’s such a vibe and I aesthetically pleasing and smells nice. I love the bathrooms, I do wish they had bath tubs but that’s okay. The location is great, it’s down the street from the mall which I love. Definitely a 10/10 and I highly recommend!

Nice to see outdoor seating with fire pits but the pictures looked a bit misleading. Maybe I I assumed i thought the hotel info said there was a restaurant and it made it look much bigger than it actually is. Overall it was good the room was great. Would be better if it had a smart tv.
