Sonesta Select San Ramon

The area is nice and close to restaurants and the interstate / highway. My stay was 5 days and requested a room with a bathtub for my 3 year old son. When I checked in the front desk guy was not helpful and did not accommodate my needs. He also reeked of marijuana. The pool was dirty and needed cleaning. The shower floor was stained brown and disgusting, the shower doors were dirty, and the toilet paper holder was in the most inconvenient spot possible. I had to sit on an angle due to it being right against my thigh.

My stay was decent. You can hear the freeway, so the room wasn't that insulated. No microwave in the room, which is a bit annoying. There is one in the lobby which was filthy, it needs a bit of cleaning. Parking is fine, hotel is located in San RAmon which is very reassuring when it comes to safety.

The staff was so nice the whole time I was there. The room was clean and I had no issues. I loved that they also had a 24 hour gym!

Highly recommend this property. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet and safe with huge parking lot. My room was spacious with a comfy king bed, sofa bed, fridge, big flat screen, big desk area, strong wi-fi, and a big window to open for fresh air. There is a great restaurant across the lot, and if you want to walk about a half mile, there is a Whole Foods, Target with CVS pharmacy, and multiple restaurants and shops at Bishop Ranch. I also went for a nice hike at the nearby natural preserve. Excellent experience all around, I will return.

The staff were all so nice and accommodating! The only downside was that part of the be hotel was under construction including the gym and pool. I wish they had told us before we booked our rooms. The construction was a bit inconvenient at times trying to drive in and out. If there was better notice as we were booking our rooms it could have been nice to share in advance.

Heated pool not working, noisy room

Gym and pool are a plus and breakfast. Nice balcony. Reasonable rates. Large room. Bathroom Vanity is small- so no where to put your things. Toilet is close to the wall. My leg almost touched the wall and I have thin legs. I was told I could not check in after 12 midnight and my flight got in late so I barely made it. Not ideal if you have a late flight.

Dog poop and rat poop on the balcony and inside on the floor near slider. Melted plastic pieces under the covers of the bed. Hair stuck to light fixture next to bed. Dirty desk legs next to trash can. Shower head sprayed out of shower. Shower leaked water on floor. No notice that gym and pool area were closed because of construction on level 1&2.

Professional, friendly, polite, staff , some lights didn’t work in my room, and swimming pool wasn’t inviting

There is no microwave in the room but there is one by the lobby. Check in and check out was quick and easy, ample parking and was located in a very quiet part of town. Within walking distance was a restaurant, a gas station with a convenience store. A little further down the street is big retail stores target, Whole Foods and a big high end, open space mall with lots of shopping and dining spots to choose from. The best part? It’s not overly expensive to stay here. Highly recommended when visiting San Ramon area.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Sonesta. The room is very clean and modern. The room has plenty of usb charging outlets and charging ports. The pool was very clean. The staffs are very friendly! It is close to a shopping center with good restaurants. Would definitely come back!

One of our room had hair in the bath tub and food In the refrigerator. There were people drinking beer in the parking lot by our car.

Very clean, friendly staff, very quick check in, nice, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, very quiet. Room smelled clean and fresh as soon as we entered. .

The slider door screen was broken and resting against an outside wall. There were cigarette butts and a joint tube on the balcony of our non-smoking room. Body wash container in shower was empty. Shower had greasy handprints on the stall walls. The TV remote was broken. The floor lamp didn’t work. There appeared to be some kind of “body fluid” stain on the nightstand.

It wasn't the cleanest honestly. Bathroom shower had pink mold. The microwave in their lobby was dirty. Floors on the elevator were dirty as well.

Quick check in. Room 343 had stains on carpet, dusty floor boards in the bathroom. No that I was looking hard but the toilet paper holder is not the best and the TP rolled on the floor. All these things ruined my vibe.

The cleanliness of the room and property was very poor. Couldn’t wait to check out. No way it could pass basic public health standards.

Less than 5 years ago it was a nice property. My room and hallway needed a good vacuum. To me it seems like half a cleaning job was done. Disappointed they couldn’t even vacuum the hallway

The hotel has been remodeled and it’s even nicer to stay there now!

Air conditioning was extremely loud especially at night.

Decent room, clean. Just be aware that some rooms (back side of hotel) directly face a major freeway that is busy all day and night with passenger cars and big rigs and you will definitely hear it.

Very nice room. Only downside is that it is located directly next to a freeway...but all in all...a great stay.

The room was very clean and all the furnishings seemed to be very new. The bed was very comfortable! I needed a clean and safe place to stay while on business and this was perfect!

Connecting to WiFi was very slow. I had trouble getting Netflix to load up. I booked a king size room but was given a queen size room. One of the bed sheet had a red stain on it, my bathroom had half a roll of toilet paper, and my desk was missing a chair. However, staff was friendly, easy parking, and a very convenient location to shops and work.

Great location but sadly because it’s right next to the freeway it is very noisy if your room is on the east side of the hotel.

Overall a very pleasant 3 night stay. Pros: The hotel is conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants and a gas station. The parking was convenient. The staff were very nice. The room looked recently updated, and clean. Water pressure in the shower was good and the water was hot. The room had a comfortable couch and desk chair, and the bed sheets were very nice. The room was laid out nicely for the size of the space. The mini fridge was cold when I arrived and kept drinks and food cold the entire stay. The air conditioner worked well and kept the room comfortable. Cons: the mattress was very firm, and the quality felt low compared to the rest of the room. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was on the low side.

I always experience a personable welcome and excellent check-in every time I stay at this property. The staff are professional and friendly. I do have specific requests due to mobility and allergy issues, and the staff makes certain to address my needs.The rooms are very well maintained and spotless. A great choice of hotel in the San Francisco East Bay area.

Checked in on Friday evening and had a good experience with a young lady working the evening shift at the front desk.On Saturday night I stopped by the front desk again inquiring about a late check out on sunday. I was happy because she was very pleasant and polite . She recommended I return early morning on Sunday and sign up for the travel pass and told me for a 100pm check out it would be a 35.00 fee and to tell the front desk clerk that she recommended I come to the front desk in the early morning and sign up for travel pass and then pay the 35.00 for the late check out. So Sunday morning between 730-800 am I aproach a young man at the desk and explain what the young lady recommended and the fee i was told for a 1:00pm check out. The young man proceded to tell me late check out begins at 50.00 and goes higher each hour after that. I told him I was told 35.00 by the young lady the night before who recommended I take care of the payment and sign up for travel pass in the morning amd explained I was in San Ramon to officiate my sons wedding at the fircrest lane golf course that day and was hoping for at least 1pm check out for 35.00 as I was told the night before but he preceeded to dismiss what I said and told me we only have house cleaning till 400pm amd that it would cost me 50 and then an hour after its 75. I ended up having no choice but to pay 50.00 or sit in my officate gown in my car in 87plus degree weather until 245pm when the ceremony was to begin.

Check in was great thanks to Sarah at the front desk. We were there for a wedding and she was helpful in getting a room ready for us in time to change clothes. Great location. Clean rooms.

Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Coffee maker in my room didn't work and front desk man promptly went and got me a cup to go.

The rooms themselves were nice, but the service and attention to detail left a lot to be desired. When we checked in, our room wasn’t ready, and once we got in, there were some basics missing — no bath mats and only one coffee cup. The next day we requested a refill for the coffee cart and only received cups, not the actual supplies. We also asked for fresh towels but were only given one. Overall, the accommodations were comfortable, but the lack of follow-through from staff made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.

Our overall stay was great. The room was very nice and spacious. The staff was extremely kind, hospitable and took care of our every need in very fast manner. The only complaint is that I think they may need more staff. The trash cans outside were all overloaded with trash. And there were many communal areas, like ice maker rooms where people had left bags of trash from their rooms. If these could be picked up on a regular basis the motel would be outstanding.

The room was not serviced during our 6 day stay except for one day when we asked for it. Had to keep asking for supplies/towels/trash pick up. Only had one trash can so it was challenging. Not enough drawer space for a 6 day stay like we had. A "breakfast included" would have been nice. Location was ideal for our needs.

The staff bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied

I checked into my room at approximately 2 pm, and was NEVER told about an "early check in fee"!! Upon. checking out I was charged $20.00 as an "early check in fee"! I have traveled all my life and was never charged for something like this. I told the desk clerk I would not pay it and she told me she would correct it. We will see! Also, they charge $4.00 resort fee. This place is far from a resort!! Will not be returning. Also, thanks for the $4.50 cup of coffee in the lobby. Pathetic.

We stayed in San Ramon for 3 days to visit family. We enjoyed the room's cleanliness, the location (near Bishop Ranch City Center), and the customer service (easy check-in and checkout and friendly staff). My recommendation is to request a room that is not on the first floor, as it is very noisy. There is an elevator, so it should be okay for people who need a bit of mobility assistance.

Nice and quiet. You can walk to a local restaurant and a small market.

Check in was easy and front staff was friendly. We stayed for a tournament and Dublin. It was close to the fields and to stores and restaurants

Great place to stay. Good location with easy highway access, but not too noisy. Getting in and out of the property was easy. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We were on 4th floor. The room looks like it just went under renovation so everything looks new and clean. I checked in the evening for just 1 night. Room is on freeway side and is noisy in the morning. No hot food offer for breakfast and a la cart items expensive, however there’s a restaurant next door.

The hotel is very old and needs to be updated. Breakfast was old looking pastries, yogurt and dry oatmeal you had to use hot water for…toilet seat in the hotel was loose, ironing board was broken. I’ll be staying elsewhere next trip.

Very understaffed, breakfast was misleading to what is actually offered but the room and facility was clean and served it’s purpose, a place to lay your head while in town for a soccer tournament.

The hotel itself was better than expected. They offer a breakfast option for $9.00 . . . But they don’t serve breakfast there! You can have coffee, a yogurt and a granola bar. There is a great restaurant just across the parking lot.

Pros: I liked the cleanliness of the property the best. Everything else was pretty average. I like that they have free parking. Cons: there were no wash cloths in the room, no shampoo, no complimentary breakfast, and no microwave.

Everything was great, except of one thing - a breakfast is not included while on a booking page it is written that a continental breakfast is included. Also a paid breakfast options are very limited, so I went outside to get some food. So, this was somewhat unpleasant surprise.

Stayed for 2 Nights. No space in the bathroom, a shelf or two would be helpful. The breakfast that we originally were told was free s s started at 6:30 am was NOT and was $10 a person for packaged food. Pillows were flat and Blankets were thin. Disappointed

Amazing stay. Only issue is that there was no continental breakfast. It was a box with an apple and some other stuff in it. Other than that, it was FANTASTCI!!
