Best Western Plus Hotel at the Convention Center

Gym was terrible. The worst hotel gym I have come across. Not worth having the swimming pool more like a paddling pool.

I was charged a 25.00 parking fee.When I made a reservation it was not mentioned I would be charged this fee.

Staff was great and property is very clean. The pool is very cold and not heated.

The breakfast offered decent food, but there was barely any seating. Our family of 4 couldn’t eat together. The room and beds were small and uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal. The shower door couldn’t close all the way and water flooded the bathroom floor. There was only one elevator and it was very slow. There were long waits to get to the parking garage. The stairs weren’t helpful because the doors locked automatically and I got stuck in the stairwell. Staff was friendly! Location was great.

Did not like the parking. Could be three deep at times. Time limits by office don't seem to be enforced over night

Garage ran out of parking spaces, but was allowed to park on street level outside entrance.

We arrived before regular check-in time and asked to drop off our luggage but our room was ready so they let us check in- so appreciated. The room was not overly big for our family but it was clean and the bathroom was large. It was clean. We walked from the hotel to the beach area - it was a nice walk and took about 30 minutes (walking with kids). The breakfast was good but the dining room was super tiny so it felt very cramped - some of our family we sat in the lobby instead and that was certainly a better option. The pool was really really small and freezing cold (it must not be heated), it didn’t appear very clean, our kids lasted about 5 minutes so that was disappointing considering we book that hotel over another one based on the pool. There is no hot tub. We ate at supper the restaurant across the street - it was really tasty. Overall it met our needs but was nothing amazing.

Gym was pretty small and could use some upgrades. Pool was inside but to cold to use in Feb. Beach is a nice 10min walk, several walkable for options. Neighborhood would be sketchy at night. Room was pretty good, no microwave. Breakfast was really good and exceeded expectations.

Parking is $23 per day.

Even with a bit of craziness, check in was easy. The front desk was very helpful. The room did not feel clean.

It was a good and Enjoyable stay. The complimentary breakfast is always worth it. The room was comfortable and very clean. We had enough necessities. The front desk is very friendly and make the atmosphere feel welcoming.

The tub wasn’t cleaned properly. They still had to hair left over from the previous person. Also, the bed was a set up. It was a full-size bed. I thought it was a queen for the size of the room. It should’ve been a queen.

Great location, easy walk to the convention center and restaurants. Very friendly staff, also a good selection at breakfast. The bed was a bit hard for our preference.

It was cool having a nice room with a balcony to watch the sun set and sunrise on with a cup of coffee. I thought the location was perfect and central to everything . We literally walked everywhere from the hotel. The room was small but nice and comfortable.

You can hear everything from the rooms next to you, and in the hallways.

Nice hotel overall and the staff was great. If you get a room facing the main street, it can be noisy at night. The fridge in the room did not work and it smelled like rotten sourkraut. It stank the entire room when we opened it.

Front desk rep was rude and not friendly at all. Ice machine was broken.

Worst check-in experience ever. Did not meet the “ meantime “ for check in which was 3:00pm didn’t get room keys till after 8:00 pm.

I did not like front desk staffs indifference to our disability. He blantly ignored me while I waited for his help, but quickly helped a man of a different race. I was appalled and I requested a apology for his behavior and he stated " I can refund your money if you are unhappy." I will tell all of my associates who travel frequently about this rude and disrespectful person that Best Western Plus in Long Beach has as an employee at this establishment. However, I must note that all oh the other staff were kind and friendly.

Great experience. Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I’d stay here again.

Cristal was fantastic in helping me in any way she could. I arrived early and she did everything possible to get me into my room early.

Nice location clean hotel. The front desk could have been more customer service oriented in speaking more knowledgeable about the area and providing service for example early check in and late check out. They seemed a bit bothered. The breakfast self serve was sufficient.

Really enjoyed my time here. Was in town for a convention so the location was perfect & a quick walk to the convention center. Staff was incredibly friendly including Cristal at the front desk. Room was comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning was incredible. Will gladly stay here again next time I'm in town.

Great stay. Hotel was clean, had good wifi, great staff, and the free breakfast was nice. Short walk to the convention center, some restaurants, and a grocery store. We had a great 2 night stay.

I love we were in walking distance to dining and the beach. We were only 5 mins from the cruise port.

It was at the center of the city very convenient to every where.

Nice hotel but just don’t walk in the wrong direction on 1st Street. Doesn’t feel safe! But, the hotel itself is great, with very friendly staff. The young man at the desk even gave me a list of local eating establishments with approx distances to walk. I would stay there again.

Its convenient to the convention center and crusie ship port. The breakfast was pretty good but not a lot of room to sit and eat. Yhey could use 1 more waffle maker. Room was nice and clean and the bathroom was well lit.

Loved breakfast

Needed a spot to lay our head for a night great staff that held our luggage while we went out to Catalina for the day. Breakfast bar was fully stocked, which was exactly what we needed next morning before getting back on the road.

Breakfast was an issue. Coffee was horrendous, no coffee pots just a machine that made many types of different "fancy" coffee drinks and took forever, but made terrible plain black coffee. Not only did the machine take forever and could only serve one person at a time, but people could not figure out how to use it. No coffee available any other place or time except at breakfast. Sugar filled flavored Yogurt dispensed from a machine which ran out two of the four days we were there. Same food every day except for Tuesday and Thursday when they served biscuits and gravy instead of oatmeal. Apparently there is only one crock pot so they had to alternate. The breakfast room only had about 20 seats and was attached to the gym and the pool so sweaty, wet people parade thru the breakfast area past those who were waiting on line for coffee and yogurt or sitting/standing trying to eat. The breakfast worker used the same rag to clean the tables and serving area and then picked up the milk dispensing thermos by the spout using that same filthy rag. There was only sugar yogurt and whole milk, no fat free, low fat or sugar free selections and no fruit except for tiny red delicious apples and a few small oranges daily. The same 3 sugar cereals served daily as well, nothing healthy. Scrambled eggs and sausage or biscuits and gravy, mini muffins, hostess apple pies and bagels or bread. When the only healthy choice is oatmeal why replace it with hot gravy for biscuits? That's not acceptable.

Check in and check process was seamless. Very easy to check in and check out. I like the complementary breakfast and ample parking on site. The 1 thing I didn't like was how crowded it when every was trying to get breakfest. Could have a bigger dinning area but other that that everything was good!

It was clean and nice. but breakfast area didn't have enough space for too many people. Overall it was good.

I loved the cleanliness and comfortability of the facility. We all LOVED the breakfast, it was one of the highlights of our stay there!

Breakfast was excellent. However, seating at peak hours was inadequate forcing some guests to eat in their room where there was no table available to eat comfortably.
