Solymar is a good option for those who are looking for something on a tight budget. The general cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Food is good, don’t expect a 5 star restaurant, but it’s cozy and warm. The common areas like the pool, bars and restaurant are clean and well maintained. The best of this hotel for sure is the staff, always trying to make you feel special. We’ve noticed some things that were not as nice on the maintenance side of the hotel, parts of the ceiling falling from high heights and some of the bar top was missing. Other than that, we had a great time at Solymar. Will most likely come back in the future.

Several areas of the property needed maintenance and it would have been really nice if the poolside bar was operating. Other than that, our room was very clean and the staff was super helpful.

VALE LA PENA, EL PRECIO ES ACCESIBLE MUY GRANDE, EL AREA DE PLAYA MUY BONITA una vista increíble (FOTOGRAFIABLE😁) LA ALBERCA, TIENE UN ÁREA PARA NIÑOS. SOLAMENTE que el hotel TIENE MUCHAS ESCALERAS POR TODOS LADOS (ES EL ESTILO DE LA CONSTRUCCIÓN) SI LLEVAS MUCHO PESO EN TU EQUIPAJE O SE TE DIFICULTA TRASLADARTE FÁCILMENTE, NO ES PARA TI...SINO SIN PROBLEMAS PUEDES DISFRUTAR. Las personas que trabajan ahi se esfuerzan por dar buena atención. Pero si varios detalles creo q mas de la administracion. No habia bartender en el bar de la alberca. No nos dieron toallas para playa suficientes por que no tenían agua. En fin fueron varios los detalles que no me dejaron satisfecho.

The building is very old. Front desk is not friendly. Room didn’t have hot water for 5 days. After 5 days they realized there is no hot water in the building and had to move us to different side of building. Food was ok although not much of variety . The waitress Jazmin was very kind and polite. Beach chairs aren’t available till 10am although people want to swim and enjoy beautiful weather. Even if there is no big waves and safe to swim the staff doesn’t let you into the sea till swim guard arrives at 10am!!! Terrible!!! I was traveling with kids and the best time is from 8am till 11 am to make sure it’s not too hot. Not all the beverages are available although we had all-inclusive package; but they had the be stages for purchase!!! I travel to Cancun annually and never had such a disappointment.

El todo inluido solo funciona 12 hr /dia La comida peor imposible Las instalaciones con muchas escaleras Solo 1 bar funciona todos los días bien difícil para acceder el de la piscina solo 1 día y de 11-4 pm En la noche nada q hacer No se recomienda para rentar no regreso más acá Tuve q pagar 1200 pesos /día por el todo incluido Además d haber pagado 73 usd / día a Expedía Debieran reconsiderar y hacer alguna devolución. De ese monto pagado Le agradecería A las 12 pm hice el check out y me retiraron el brazalete para poder almorzar es demasiados Espero q Ecpedia devuelva parte del monto abonado en la reserva

Don't do it. If we did it over again, I would pay a little extra to stay somewhere a little nicer. Buffet food wasn't the greatest, pool was fine, beach was great, and beach bar was awesome. Hotel it self was very run down. There was a constant smell that wouldn't go away when you are by the pool/pool bar. And what ever you do, don't go into the bathrooms by the pool (ugh). The staff here are great and were very friendly. It's not their fault the hotel needs a complete redo! Location of the hotel is good, and wasn't to far away from shops/restuarants, about a 10min bus ride.

A comida é muito pobre de quantidade e variedade, nao conseguindo atender a demanda e demorando na reposição, alem de um buffet de aparencia nao muito agradavel. O quarto estava infestado de pernilongo. O acesso à piscina parece um labirinto. As instalações em geral sao velhas

No reconmedaria este hotel a ninguna persona, todo estaba sucio, el buffet muy malo, la atencion mala, menos las personas de la puerta y maleteros.. La piscina esta sucia, la habitacion muy basica. tuvimos que esperar para hacer el cheking y cuando entramos a la habitacion, estaba sucia, el banno olia horrible..

This place is a Dump. Do not go there. I reserved 2 rooms. There was no internet in the rooms, tv in one of the rooms was damaged and no connection, on the 2nd room tv. There was no hot water in one of the rooms, rotten shwer heads in both rooms. I have videos and pictures to prove it. There was blood stains on both rooms bedding. Visible bed bugs. (I have prove of it)The mattress was harder than the floor. Everything in that place was eather damaged, rotten or rusted. We end up checking out right away. Called expedia right on there while checking out and front desk staff did not care on giving a refund or giving any alternative. I have contacted Expedia to resolve this matter and the hotel management is evading the phone calls and not responding emails. I have called the Front desk, they are instructed to say there is no management on duty or management office on the property. So no refund 3 weeks after. This place should not be allow to operate at all. This hotel is a Scam. They have kept $1138.22 usd just like that. There is no other way to say it. SCAMMERS!!!

En general nos agrado y la pasamos bien, el buffet muy recomendable, variedad y buen sabor. Lo único malo es que nos toco la de malas que el desagüe de la regadera estuvo tapado y al bañarnos se encharcaba el agua, y por otro lado ni un solo dia se cambiaron las sabanas o se tallo el baño.
En general nos agrado y la pasamos bien, el buffet muy recomendable, variedad y buen sabor. Lo único malo es que nos toco la de malas que el desagüe de la regadera estuvo tapado y al bañarnos se encharcaba el agua, y por otro lado ni un solo dia se cambiaron las sabanas o se tallo el baño.

Habitación deteriorada, ni un gacho para colgar, focos fundidos, poca luz, toallas en malas condiciones, rotas, muy viejas. Un día sin tele por que no cambiaron pilas de control y no había señal. Áreas comunes en buen estado.

Realmente es un lugar al que yo no regresaría jamás. El personal que labora es bueno pero las habitaciones feas, en mal estado, un solo restaurante y con pocas opciones. Un día fuimos a desayunar y ya no quedaba nada - la playa no la limpian - las toallas empercudidas.

This hotel was quite a surprise, it was clean, comfortable, great AC, hot water, great location, on the beach, varied menu. Snacks drinks. You eat and drink from 7am to 11pm great choice for the price

We did not like the hotel, it needs a lot of work. We actually left the next day and no one offered a refund. We were not able to sleep due to a lot of noise, bathroom did not have shower curtain, water everywhere. We had to ask for towels, blankets and pillows. It was wasted of the money and time. The location is nice

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The property seemed a bit rundown and desperately needing some upgrades, but even without the upgrades there were stains on the walls, missing handles on the balcony door, no hand towels or bath mat. A very nice quiet spot on the beach but lacking these few things made it a tad more than just inconvenient. The buffet menu was mediocre at best and kind of regret having paid for the all inclusive deal as I ended up eating out most of the time.

Just few things not preferred is…: Hotel did not have or offer any top blankets or covers on beds, had limited clean sheets and towels which we had to regularly request and self serve get our own few fresh linens and towels, and we had to ask for couple more bed pillows needed. They also did not offer and we did not have any small hotel room refrigerators or anywhere to keep small food and drink items cold and fresh. In addition to that they don’t ever have a place to just get some ice to keep things cool cold, only place is you must purchase your own at convenience store and even then back at room have no place to keep it frozen due to having no small refrigerator or freezer in room. Not as important and optionally would been nice to have, you don’t get a small room microwave to warm or freshen snacks up in rooms either. The small room locker safe also didn’t seem too secure had to pay for. Preferred…: Most overall satisfactory resort, with positive nice experience enjoyed.

There needs to be more staff at this place. Also, the hotel amenities are not called out appropriately upon arrival. This place has potential it needs more customer support services along with clear instructions other than a 1 paver that doesn’t have everything called out about service. The two guys that are always there( Javier and the receptionist at night are great).

No reconmedaria este hotel a ninguna persona, todo estaba sucio, el buffet muy malo, la atencion mala, menos las personas de la puerta y maleteros.. La piscina esta sucia, la habitacion muy basica. tuvimos que esperar para hacer el cheking y cuando entramos a la habitacion, estaba sucia, el banno olia horrible..

Ça va pour les bars,par contre deux récéptionnistes et deux versions différentes du all inclusive. Sortie à 12h00 comme prévu,plus droit à rien. Arrivés la veille après 16h00 pas de déjeuner possible,aucun report pour le lendemain,même pour des snacks. Pas de serviettes non plus pour se sécher après la douche avant depart pour l'aéroport. Bref,le client on s'en fout. Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir aller à la plage pour un dernier bain. Merci à l'hôtel Solymar Beach de ne pas nous avoir éjecté dehors à la calle. Bien sûr aucun responsable ne s'est déplacé malgré notre demande. Ceci n'est pas Cancun.

Muy mala experiencia comparado con hoteles de la misma categoria en la zona hotelera... nos negaron la entrada a hacer uso de las instalaciones y del restaurante para el desayuno la habitacion sin toallas para bañarse y despues de mas de 5 llamadas tuve que ir a recepción para qujarme y aun asi tardaron en llevarlas. La comida muy basica pero aceptable. Las bebidas igual. Lo mas lamentable es la actitud del personal de recepcion , camarista y restaurante como si estuvieramos pidiendo limosna, sin nada de actitud de servicio. Quienes se salvan son el bell boy, el pool bar y en el area de snacks, buena su atencion y servicio.

all the workers had bad attitude. we booked an all inclusive room and it showed we didnt when we got there to get our room key. we had proof and shlwed yhem and they still didnt give us our bracelet . one of the work member said we had breakfast included so when we went to get our braclets they said that wasnt included either. overall we got not help. make sure you double check what you get because in the post it say ALL INCLUSIVE and when we got there it wasnt. i asked for someone to sweep the room in the am and we got back in the pm the room was still dirty. they then later brang me the broom for ME to sweep. do NOT recommend

We did not like the hotel, it needs a lot of work. We actually left the next day and no one offered a refund. We were not able to sleep due to a lot of noise, bathroom did not have shower curtain, water everywhere. We had to ask for towels, blankets and pillows. It was wasted of the money and time. The location is nice

The building is very old. Front desk is not friendly. Room didn’t have hot water for 5 days. After 5 days they realized there is no hot water in the building and had to move us to different side of building. Food was ok although not much of variety . The waitress Jazmin was very kind and polite. Beach chairs aren’t available till 10am although people want to swim and enjoy beautiful weather. Even if there is no big waves and safe to swim the staff doesn’t let you into the sea till swim guard arrives at 10am!!! Terrible!!! I was traveling with kids and the best time is from 8am till 11 am to make sure it’s not too hot. Not all the beverages are available although we had all-inclusive package; but they had the be stages for purchase!!! I travel to Cancun annually and never had such a disappointment.

Don't do it. If we did it over again, I would pay a little extra to stay somewhere a little nicer. Buffet food wasn't the greatest, pool was fine, beach was great, and beach bar was awesome. Hotel it self was very run down. There was a constant smell that wouldn't go away when you are by the pool/pool bar. And what ever you do, don't go into the bathrooms by the pool (ugh). The staff here are great and were very friendly. It's not their fault the hotel needs a complete redo! Location of the hotel is good, and wasn't to far away from shops/restuarants, about a 10min bus ride.

Solymar is a good option for those who are looking for something on a tight budget. The general cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Food is good, don’t expect a 5 star restaurant, but it’s cozy and warm. The common areas like the pool, bars and restaurant are clean and well maintained. The best of this hotel for sure is the staff, always trying to make you feel special. We’ve noticed some things that were not as nice on the maintenance side of the hotel, parts of the ceiling falling from high heights and some of the bar top was missing. Other than that, we had a great time at Solymar. Will most likely come back in the future.

Plus it was an "all inclusive " resort but they didnt provide any bottles of water. The staff never explained anything! The pool bar closed so early or never opened. En general nos agrado y la pasamos bien, el buffet muy recomendable, variedad y buen sabor. Lo único malo es que nos toco la de malas que el desagüe de la regadera estuvo tapado y al bañarnos se encharcaba el agua, y por otro lado ni un solo dia se cambiaron las sabanas o se tallo el baño.
