Many appreciate comfortable beds and a spacious lobby with places to relax and play, plus on-site EV chargers and easy parking. Others report occasional in-room issues such as loud or weak AC, limited TV options or connectivity, and lukewarm water or low pressure. Breakfast earns frequent praise, but variety can feel limited and dietary accommodations are inconsistent or unavailable at times. Expect a straightforward, convenient base for exploring the area.

This property has a fun fire table outside to use and lots of fun cozy seating inside as well. And there was a pool table in the lobby too. There was an indoor pool. A bit smaller than I expected, and very loud with any kind of noise, but still fun for my kiddo. Super nice staff and decent breakfast - not really much option for people with dietary restrictions though. They had lots of grab and go snacks at the front desk - not sure about the price point. Added bonus was free car chargers on property!

Loved the contemporary design and the built in efficiencies. Only thing I would say is the pool was too cold… I did swim but… it was not 80 degrees as stated more like 68 degrees. If it was mid 70s that would have worked.

Beautiful hotel. Indoor pool was nice, however it was way too cold. I could not stay in pool with grandson very long, too cold. That was disappointing; It was one reason I chose to stay there. Housekeeping staff not the best. Beds not made. Linens not changed, I spilled coffee on bed and staff did not change sheets. Floor was not very clean in the room. Front desk staff on check out not very knowledgeable or friendly. Breakfast/dining staff were great. Very hospitable. Suggestions: clock in pool area would be nice. broom and dust pan in rooms if housekeeping not able to sweep floors, increase temp of pool water, so older guest can enjoy the pool. It is handicapped accessible, but most adults complained about the cold water. Breakfast was great and hot coffee in the lounge.

This hotel was pretty basic but clean and was close to shopping, great restaurants and downtown Wilmington. Breakfast was nothing fancy but still good. Loved that the lobby had plenty of sitting areas for us to relax, hang out with friends and play on the pool table. Kids liked the indoor pool as well. Staff was super helpful and friendly. If I had to say anything not so positive, we didn’t have any clean towels when we arrived(thankfully I noticed before I showered, honest mistake) and staff members smoking right outside the door by the elevators. Still glad I booked this one. We had a great weekend.

I was very excited to stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, it did not live up to any expectations I had for a Hilton hotel. The room appeared to be clean. We got in very late. The front desk had no idea what food options were open, so we had to locate them ourselves. Once back in the room, we took a shower in our rolling shower. Water went everywhere. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and no shampoo. Luckily, we had our own. As I was wiping up the water with the white towels, I found out the floor was dirty; see the picture below. We were exhausted from our 12-hour plus ride in the car and went to bed. The next morning, as I pulled the sheets back to the floor, I found dead ants and someone else's hair in the sheets, see pictures below. The front desk was told and shown the pictures. They apologized, but I expected better.

Our room was not cleaned very well, the shower had hair and soap scum in various locations of the stall. Found hair inside the bedding as if the sheets had not been changed and the bed was just remade from another visit. The room itself was really dusty and saw spider webs in the floor corner by the TV. Yes spider webs not dust web either way is not good. Flat surfaces were dusty. This is a fairly new building possible growing pains or just a lack of attention because it's a newer building. Finally housekeeping attempted to enter our room without announcing themselves the morning of checkout. We had literally just gotten out of the shower(we cleaned ourselves) so you can only imagine how that would have went. Overall this place needs some fine tuning. Staff need to be more attentive to the business.

My blind was broken and my bed looked like someone else had slept in it. We checked in very late and I’d already changed rooms because the blind was broken so I told myself the sheets were left in the drier too long and went to sleep. It was an awful feeling. My daughter had another room and her mattress was broken in the middle and she kept falling in the hole. We are switching to Marriott for our next night on this journey.

I’m typically a big fan of Tru by Hilton and often choose it over other hotel brands whenever I can. Unfortunately, this particular location didn’t quite meet the usual standard, though I’m hopeful these issues can be addressed moving forward. To start on a positive note, the staff who checked us in were incredibly kind and welcoming. However, there were a few concerns with our room. The AC didn’t seem to be working properly—it was very stuffy and took quite a while to cool down. Additionally, the trash cans had sticky residue at the bottom, the hand wash and body wash dispensers were empty, and the floors felt tacky, possibly due to the room temperature. On the bright side, the gym was well-equipped and the location was excellent. I do wish the breakfast offered more non-meat options, but overall, I believe with a few improvements, this location could be much better aligned with the Tru by Hilton experience I’ve come to appreciate.

Our one challenge is that we booked two queen beds for our stay, and the staff confirmed we were in a two queen room. But the beds must have been the smallest queen sized beds I’ve ever experienced. It was definitely strange. Other than that, the hotel is a great location to drop your things and get out into the area and explore. Great location to also get a good exercise walk outside before your day has started. And good food options to walk if you are too tired to go back out in the evening.

This was our first stay at a tru. We stayed 3 nights and on 2 of the nights there were heavy footfalls in the room above us during early morning hours. Also no bureau so we lived out of our suitcases nor was there a microwave. Breakfast was adequate but no pancake machine. Staff wore casual clothes, jeans and any shirt they wanted. They looked unprofessional and were frequently away from the desk.

I came in late for a single night but the room was nice and very clean. The hotel still has the “new” feeling. The bed was really comfortable. The only complaint I would have is the water in the shower took forever to get hot and wasn’t very hot at all - and the water pressure wasn’t great - but it’s a hotel so I didn’t expect much there anyways. I would definitely stay again.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Weve stayed at other locations and have never had this issue before. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Few options, toaster did not work and neither did the pancake maker. Our TV also only had very poor basic cable, even though there was a 2nd remote that had a Netflix option but did not work. We won't be staying at this location again.

My first trip since my husband passed last year. Everyone was so friendly. I loved getting a text once I was in my room asking for any questions or concerns. Just had a few and they were answered immediately. I also loved the boards that listed local eateries even something for a sweet tooth, what else was available to do beside going to the beach. No microwave or closet in the room but that didn’t hinder me. I loved the 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby. And the set up in the lobby allowed guests to mingle. You won’t go wrong with this hotel.

Good location, short drive to Wilmington. A lot of places to eat around, Walmart across the street. Room was spotless. Service was really good. I arrived early and they were able to get a room available for me. The manager was super nice and helpful. Clean rooms and bathroom.

It was convenient to the downtown area at a good price. clean rooms wonderful staff. if you are going for the beaches, this is a bit far; otherwise, I can't say enough about the hotel.

Room was clean but tv remote didn’t work. Breakfast was bad. Western omelettes for eggs - with ham. I’m vegetarian. I asked if there was another option and response was rude. Coffee tasted terrible. Overall I’m not loving the Tru “hip” vibe.

The staff was welcoming. The rooms are small but clean. It’s fine for 2 ppl and short trips but no drawers are a big draw back. The property was nice and plenty of sitting areas in the lobby. Only downside was the pool felt slimy and the bottom was gross. Could use to be better maintained! Overall 4/5 only negative was no drawers and the pool.
