Small place with amazing views of the harbor. Well maintained. I sat in one of the comfortable wooden chairs outside our room evey chance I got. There was even a lovely picnic area along side the water front. Good for watching people dig for clams at low tide. Comfortable bed. Nice furniture. Good location. Quiet.

It was a nice stay. The floors in my room were clean. The heater worked well. I was able to get the room warm in very little time. One thing I wished the room had was a bigger trash can. All I had for a trash can was a small maybe 8 inch tall and wide canister. My least favorite part of the motel was that the hallway upstairs smelled like someone was or had been smoking weed. Thankfully, the smell stayed out there and was not in my room. The room I stayed in was nice, including the bathroom. The hot water worked well. As far as the grounds, you have a great view of Thompson Island, Mount Desert Narrows and can look straight across at Mount Desert Island. Anyone who stays at the motel is allowed to go out and see this view. There are some picnic tables on the lawn by the water too.

Buyer beware, this place was so unkept that it felt very unsafe. I would have liked more unfiltered pictures to better chose a place to stay. The beds were worn and so uncomfortable and the bathrooms had brown water in the sink shower and toilets. We did not stay the full time we left and they would not refund our last day blaming 3rd party which is total BS.

We stayed for 3 nights 9/22-9/25/2026. The hotel is your basic room with 2 beds and a bath. It was clean. There were some recent upgrades to flooring. It served our needs. The manager Dave was very friendly and accommodating . We loved the close proximity to Acadia national park and downtown Bar harbor . We loved The Bar Harbor Lobster pound, about 5 miles down the road , worth the trip !! The waterfront location was very peaceful! We would gladly stay here again !
