Moxy Omaha Downtown

I am SO GLAD I decided to drive one more hour to Omaha for my first leg of a four day road trip. This hotel was wonderful for both me and my dog. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and I'm pretty sure this was the cleanest hotel I've stayed at my entire trip. At the check-in desk and bar, not only were there were bowls of water sitting out for any doggie guests (and wow did my little girl take advantage of that!) but YOU as a human guest get a free welcome drink coupon! I had a non-alcoholic raspberry spritzer that I honestly wish I had an entire pitcher of instead of just a cocktail glass, it was that good. I had an excellent night's sleep after that. The only criticism I really have is the valet parking was a little understaffed and it took almost 20 mins for the one guy manning the kiosk to get my car after I'd requested it from the app. But overall, I'd really recommend this hotel and I'm looking forward to coming back to Omaha sometime in the future because the area where the hotel is located seemed awesome and I want to check everything out.

Great location close to bars and places we wanted to visit in the Old Market. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at The Moxy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The option for valet was definitely a plus and loved that there was a bar in the lobby.

I was unaware of the steep parking pricing. Valet was marked as $40, but was actually $55/night after taxes and fees. This was 33% of the price of the room, and FAR higher than I anticipated. At check-in, I stood at the counter as an employee stood on the other side, more concerned with her phone and entering data in a notebook than helping me. Once another staff came to help me, things were good. But the initial impression, $40 valet and being ignored at checking were very off putting. The room is nice, but minimal, as expected at the Moxy.

The hotel has great style. The staff is amazing. My first issue is the lack of parking. Secondly the level of interior noise is a bit much.

Ok. So we get you have to place a room next to the gym . But when we checked in they had 7 rooms left . We got room 203( I think) being near my friend. But both mornings at 530am and maybe 7 people were on treadmills. The treadmills share the same wall as my bed . Just please try it yourself and see what you think about sleeping thru that . I wish someone said “ do you want a room newr your friend but newr the gym , or another floor “. It was intolerable . City noice is fine in a city and we had that too - totally expected . Treadmill pounding - awful. Can you move the machines ?

The Moxy is a nice base to explore downtown from. The rooms are clean and has streaming options on the TV. The common are downstairs is also a really nice touch. I did enjoy the old fashioned airport rotary sign.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect or if I would show up to what the picture showed, and it was everything the picture showed and more the place was echo, friendly, so much fun from the decor to the games in the lobby! I was pleasantly surprised that they had coffee in the morning in the lobby ! I 1000% will be going back. The gym was awesome! Perfect location to walk absolutely everywhere! And it was just a very short drive to the zoo.!

The welcome drink was a nice touch and the games area provided hours of cell phone free family with our teen. Can't put a price on that! The room setup, with the twin bunk over the queen was awesome for providing parents and daughter with a little privacy and the staff wass great! Will definitely seek out Moxi hotels in our future travels!

Moxy is a cute boutique hotel. Fun artsy lobby with bar. Easy checkin. Parking garage across street. Great showers. A little street noise. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Loved the fun vibe and location. The lobby was a very unique experience with games and lots of seating! The beds were very comfortable. Free coffee in the morning.

Upon check-in, the shower in my room smelled acrid with vomit. Thankfully, when I requested relocation, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. I was promptly assigned a new room, which was clean.

Atmosphere was good. However, there was an Oder of sewer in the hallways. The valet was having a little difficulty with getting my car checked in. The remote to the Tv barely worked. Other than that everything was fine

Our bed had bed bugs.

The location is excellent, and I liked the overall vibe of the hotel! The shower had several hairs and some other kind of dirt in the floor, so that wasn’t awesome, but I otherwise really liked my room as well.

The building itself was SO COOL and clean! We will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed here for one night. Check-in was seamless, staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The Moxy is right in the center of Old Market, an easy walk everywhere we went. Would happily stay here again.

The room is as so small. Hardly anywhere to put two suitcase. It could use an extra small trash can next to the desk. I understand the need for every other day room cleaning but you it said you could get clean towels if you wanted them. However, the housekeeper who spoke limited almost no lenglish didn't understand what I was saying and we were not even n her list. She was extremely nice and gave me two clean towels. The whole 3rd floor needs a vacuuming. When we left the stuff on the floor from Saturday was still there: i know these are little things but they become big things. Having no idea about the size of the rooms when I booked, I should have asked for a double.

AC Units in room are LOUD. Couldn’t sleep and the room was either warm or too cold thermostat innacurate. Couldn’t get work done in the room

There wasn’t a fridge in our room, which we needed for our food from dinner. Overall great though!

Nice rooms, small and cozy but with everything we needed. Shower was amazing, super high pressure.

Good location and nice place with a fun vibe. But rooms are TINY Despite a decent bathroom. No coffee or anything else provided

No extra blanket, no coffee maker. Bare bones. Ultra modern is not our style. Barely 15 inches between the wall and the edge of the bed.

The rooms were great. The bed could’ve been a little bit more comfortable however it did suffice for our short weekend trip. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was great! The noise level of the room above us was not so great. I did have to call the front desk and ask them to ask that room to calm down. However, it did not work. So just be aware that you can hear the rooms above you pretty clearly!

No breakfast, no fridge, no storage, no microwave, no in-room coffeemaker and very small room. Limited staff knowledge of surrounding food, coffee shops etc. Nice lobby and friendly staff. Hair in shower walls, which was gross. The best thing about this place is the location in the Old Market. Don't plan on bringing any leftovers back to the room though because there is no way to keep them cool or keep spare water bottles cool. And one small bottled water downstairs costs over $5. Great restaurant choices in walking distance. Think twice about renting a car here as you constantly have to feed the meter from 9 am to 9 pm. The parking garage here does not let you come and go freely without charging you each time.

The TV did not work, the screen would dissolve into a jumble then it would turn off on it's own. The bed was not comfortable and the smoke alarm flashed very brightly throughout the night. Very dark hallways.

Noise from the street all night long anooying. The person above us had there tv so loud you could hear it through the vent in the bathroom and so therfore could clearly hear it from the bed and over our own tv. The bed and pillows were cheap and very uncomfortable. We tossed and turned all night and was unable to get much rest. Overall the hotel is in a nice spot and is nicely themed. The other amenities were nice as well and provided an welcome and fun atmosphere.

The rooms, bar and afternoon checkin (Autumn and Matteo) were the best. Morning staff could use a polishing in customer service basics.

The air conditioning was broken in my room. I was told that nobody was supposed to be put in that room and they put there anyway. It reached 80 degrees during the day. Maintenance put in a humidifier with an ice pack to help. I had to sit with my door open for over an hour to cool my room down from the tropical rainforest it had become from the humidifier. There were no extra rooms for the night and the GM would not book me at another Marriott for the night. I was told to speak with the GM upon checkout about getting a partial refund, but after waiting over 10 minutes, he still hadn't helped the person waiting before me, and I had to catch a flight. Housekeeping didn't come once over a 4 day stay. There is no water fountain on any floor, and there is not nearly enough bedding, except for empty "stash" lockers. I checked multiple floors and only found washcloths and pillows. Not that it mattered anyway, as it was 80 in my room after the first night. The front desk person was sympathetic, and he gave me extra honors points, but ultimately I didn't get refunded and the stay was subpar. Will not be returning.

We travelled from Austin, Texas to Omaha for the Stevie Nick's concert which was fabulous!!! I found this hotel on this site(we use this site quite a bit for our travels) and chose to stay here 'cause it looked chic and it was walking distance to the concert venue. Everything was great until we got back to the hotel bar after the concert and experienced the absolute worst service we've EVER experienced anywhere!! We sat at the bar 'cause we ere hungry and needed a nightcap. The bartenders/bar staff completely and totally ignored us, never greeted us at all, and never served any beverages at all. They literally would stand right in front of us, we'd attempt to order from them they would look at us, not respond at all, totally ignore us and walk away. The odd thing was, every single one of the bar staff gave us the same treatment!! They were serving everyone else at the bar, and we could not understand why on earth they were being so incredibly rude and disrespectful. We sat there for about 30 minutes until we just decided to leave and go to bed. Their conduct was so incredibly and utterly RUDE!! Unbelievable!!! We definitely will be back to Omaha, but there is absolutely no way we will ever stay at this property!!

Rooms were really small but since I was traveling alone not really a big deal - the night crew was very welcoming and explained everything but the morning person was it pleasant at all and actually pretty rude for whatever reason. They had a huge TV in the game room lobby area but it didn’t play anything but Marriott commercials, which was a little disappointing because several people including myself wanted to watch Monday Night Football but the TV wasn’t hooked up to any type of streaming service so all it could display was commercials or screensaver, kind of defeats the purpose of having it

The started off all wrong. I was asked for my card for incidentals. It was NEVER said, that my card would be charged for the entire stay plus incidentals. The charge didnt go through. As a i the exact amount needed on the card. I explained that i was paying for 1 night. Financial reasons. And my friends was paying the 2nd night. After explaining this to the lady at the desk, she said she just needed the card to be on file. AGAIN, NEVER saying finds would be on hold, for both nights. Even aftervi explained our arrangement. Next thing I know, i have $0 available for my expenses. FOOD, EVENT ETC. The manager came and started with the "misunderstanding " EXCUSE. THIS WAS A LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE. They didnt care about the customer. My stay was ruined from that moment. Then we returned from an outing. TV didnt work. I called, basically, it was oh well, im busy. I have a medical condition that causes ringing in my ears. I need the sound of the tv to drown the rining, and fall asleep. The next day, someone came. Turned on the tv. There it works she said. I said turn the channel and volume up. Didnt work. Gave us another room. As of today, my funds arent on my card. I had to insist on some documentation regarding the credit. Invoice showS 2 nights paid for. I called, manager still defiant. She finally agreed to send me an email, an email that contained not what i adked for! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Room was clean and quaint. Cozy but anticipated that. Staff did not impress overall. Not greeted at all when checking in- just abruptly asked for id and credit card. We were the only ones in line. Tried to greet back without response. At one point there were about 6 couples around the bar and at least 5 staff in the bar area. We were all, however waiting to be asked if we would like to order. Some staff were trying but definitely others were struggling. Not a bad place but likely won’t choose again.

Our food order was lost and was told when we asked where it was that they would have to put it back in the que and they had people in front of us so it would be another 20 mins. Great location. Close to everything downtown. Stayed there for a concert. Parking right across the street, easy walk to a bunch of bars

CONSTRUCTION AT 5:30 AM!!!! Forget sleeping. With that much noise, it was impossible. Not that it’s Moxy’s fault. I told the nice woman at the front desk that management should talk with the City about this being incredibly problematic. Either way, I’m exhausted…

Parking garage was across the street. No need for valet. Easy to walk all over downtown. Clean rooms.

Great hotel in the heart of Old Market.

We were walking Distance to several restaurants, bars, and shops. Love the old market area! We also walked to the CHI event center for a concert. Great location.

Only one negative and it is not the Moxy’s fault- a construction crew was in the alley below our room using jackhammers and such 4 of the 5 days. Hard to sleep in.

The space was gorgeous - beautifully decorated with games and all the conveniences. And the service was superior. BUT... we stayed on a Sat night and with the hotel directly off of main street, cars blaring their bass music occurred from 11pm-2am right outside our window. It was torture. We had earplus and blaring sound machine, but that didn't drown out the noise or reduce the literal vibrating walls and bed.

Such a fun vibe at the hotel with the decor and colors. Loved the bar and games in the lobby to hang out before going to bed. My only complaint is there wasn’t a mini fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

Standard room is comically tiny. When laying on the bed you can almost touch all four walls simultaneously. Shower pressure is an absolute disgrace. Breakfast at the bar was 11/10. Overall no real issues. No bad smells a decent hvac for the room. Clean and friendly staff. Would definitely return.

This property is very convenient to all attractions downtown and the old market. The only negatives I have are with the staff. The woman who checked us in and the woman who made our breakfast acted like they would prefer to be somewhere else. On the other hand, the staff at the bar in the evening was very friendly and helpful when we needed their assistance.

Amazing stay! Love the Moxy brand and this one was no different. Great value and really nice bar / bartender and common space. Only negative is they stop serving food at 8pm :(
