We had an issue getting the door code due to internet connectivity when we arrived, but luckily, they had the foresight to have the phone number on a sign out front of the property. One call and we were set. The only other issue was the small shower, which wasn't ideal for washing the kids up, but we made do. Megan was very responsive to our questions, and that was much appreciated. The river was great, lots of turtles and crayfish or crawfish, and there were some big fish swimming in the river you can see from the deck. All things considered, we had a wonderful time, and I would definitely recommend the place.

Very cozy, right on the river - prime spot for the activities of the weekend! Beds were comfortable, house was clean, giant porch made for a lovely dinner looking out at the water

Nice location near the river and close drive to Abingdon. Outside deck was great for games and gathering. Luckily we had nice weather! Enough bedrooms to fit our family, but note that not all are private due to the layout. Kitchen utensils and cooking supplies are limited and it has a small living area. Some basic cleaning supplies, like a broom, would be helpful. Only one trash bag and no extra toilet paper so be prepared! The house sits on a sloped hill with a tricky driveway, but stargazing was nice. Kayaks and canoe were fun, but there’s no real entry into the river right across the road so it was a challenge getting in and out. Bought firewood through host in advance, but did not use it because the ring is right next to the road and the “firewood” looked like old planks from a house. A few items left under the beds and on the porch also made me question how clean it was. The Host definitely communicated, with multiple texts during our weekend stay. Overall, it served its purpose and my mom loved the porch overlooking the river. However, it is an old house in the country with well water so it’s hard to give it a 5-star rating compared to some other more updated places we’ve stayed.

Loved our stay. Having the kayaks were a blessing. Fishing was fun and activities we done around the area. A few things we could suggest would be a broom and couple of trash bags would have nice. The trash was left in the garage so it stuck to high heaven. We couldn’t enjoy the ping pong table because of it. Otherwise we had a wonderful, relaxing stay . Thank you

This cabin was perfect for our family fishing trip. Even fished out of the stream across from the house.
