Across reviews, Cute and Cozy Basement Apartment is praised for spotless cleanliness, comfortable beds, tasteful decor, and a well-stocked kitchen, with many guests noting responsive hosts, easy check-in, clear communication, and thoughtful snacks that make stays feel personal.
The location suits Mt Pleasant stays, with mentions of access to Maple Canyon, downtown, and restaurants, plus quiet surroundings. Guests find the interiors cozy and often spacious, though a couple of reviews flag the bunk-bed or extra-sleeping setup (and that it is a one-bedroom) as less ideal for young children. Expect a home-style, self-catering basement stay in a convenient Mt Pleasant setting.

The owner was very kind. The space was beautiful and very comfortable. We felt like we were staying in a relative’s basement. Lots of little extras. My favorite part was that when we walked in the fireplace was on and it was warm. A hotel room is always freezing when you walk in - and since this is a basement in a cold climate I was sure I was going to freeze, but it was lovely.

There were many things to love about this darling basement apartment but if you like a clean, organized, beautifully decorated and comfortable place to stay (and who doesn't?!) this is the place for you! The attention to detail is remarkable - there wasn't a thing we lacked or needed - it was all supplied from little mints in bowls around the apartment to thick towlels and comfortable sheets, pillows and cozy blankets - along with everything you could want in a kitchen - a big screen tv with comfortable seating and I could go on and on.The main advantage was the incredible price for such a nice place! We can't recommend this fun place highly enough. A personal note of welcome along with a little bowl of treats was also included. What a great weekend! Thanks Shelby!

This cozy basement apartment was perfect for our stay! It was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed — the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dishes, parking was plentiful, and the space offered plenty of peace and privacy. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly stay again. Highly recommend!

We came in town for my sons bike race and this place was SIGNIFICANTLY nicer than the motels and inns our friends were staying in in Manti. Very clean, well appropriated with everything we could possible need. Very comfortable beds and spacious. The host is so kind. Allowed my son to use her hose to clean his bike and even left him a treat and note of good luck for his race. How kind was that?? Too bad he’s a senior, otherwise we would most definitely book again during the bike race season. Don’t sleep on this unit if you are coming to Ephraim or Manti.

Everything was great. The only things is that it is only a one bedroom. It would have been nice to know that the bunkbed room is actually the walk in closet and to get there you have to walk through the bedroom to get there. And a sign stating that the hot water is extremely hot so be careful. Other than these 2 small things this place was wonderful. A real 5 star.

Cute place with a comfy bed and pillows. Well cared for. Loved the fan in the bedroom because we like it cool when we sleep. The only negative is that it was super hard to see the house number and walkway to the entrance in the dark. Bigger numbers that have a light on them and some solar walkway lights would be a SUPER easy fix to this problem. Would also suggest a sign on the entry door to “Watch your step in the stairs”. Very minor things that would make a big difference. Great place overall though.

This is the cutest little basement apartment! If we pass through Mt Pleasant again, we’ll definitely stay there. It was clean and comfortable and decorated so well. Shelby even put out a hand-written welcome note with a bowl of snacks (which my 12-yr-old devoured haha)! Instructions to get in were clear and easy. Great place!

This was the cutest place we could have found in all of Mount Pleasant. It was spacious, very tastefully decorated, and had all the things we could have needed for the weekend. Shelby was so nice, very responsive, and gave us a fantastic recommendation for things to do. Highly recommend her home if you need a place in the area. (Coffee Depot about a mile south has really good coffee and opens at 7am!!) ;)

Shelby is excellent to work with. If you have any special needs, she is great to accommodate. It would be helpful to know in the description about the queen sofa bed. Luckily it wasn't overly warm when we were there, it does get a little stuffy due to being a basement apartment. Best selection of spices and basic needs, i.e. sugar, tin foil, ziplock bags, etc. of any place we have ever stayed. Good access to stores and other areas in Sanpete County. We had a great time. Thanks Shelby!

We came for climbing in Maple canyon. Great location. We didn't use the kitchen much but it looked like everything worked and was clean. The shower had plenty of hot water and was nice. The beds were very comfy. Probably not great for young kids. The bunk bed top mattress was too thick so the person on the top bunk could roll right off. We had to put it on the floor so the kid could sleep safely. My kids go to bed very early (8:30) and you can hear the people upstairs through the floor until 11:30. Kids said it was hard to sleep but it didn't bother us.

This rental is absolutely amazing! There is not one complaint! I come down to Sevier often to visit my son and this is definitely the place for us! Checking in was extremely easy, the kitchen was fully stocked, the bathroom had all amenities you may need, beds were all comfy, and the owners messaged back in very resonable times. We are extremely happy with our stay and i cant wait to book again in the future! Thank you so much!!

A beautiful cozy apartment. Everything was just right. Mount pleasant is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A very nice kitchen area and the king size bed was wonderful. We will be staying here again in the future.

I was contacted and told we could check in early but that her husband would be the one cleaning the unit. While overall the place was cleaned out, there were a few slight issues that were reported. The garbage was completely full upon check in.The bottom bunk mattress had a very unpleasant smell. The pull out couch has an additional pad to be used for the pull out mattress to be properly slept in. We were not told where to locate this or that it would have been the option until after the stayThe visitors staying in that area ended up having one on the couch and the other on the floor. We were all awoken at 8AM by children running and playing upstairs in the home. This was a bit of a disappointment as paying guests we would hope to be able to sleep in closer to our check out time if 11AM without disruption. The check in and check out was painless and communication regarding these issues was well received. Still giving a solid 4 stars.
