Meredith Town+Trail Cottage - walkable, dogs ok

The cottage as absolutely beautiful! It’s decor was stunning and made it feel very homey! Right down to the fresh brownies left on the counter upon arrival. They even made sure lights were on and fire place was going when we got there. The amenities with this house were amazing. Cabinets fully stocked right down to coffee grinds. We felt so comfortable and welcomed in this home. Would highly recommend it to anyone contemplating renting this place. The location was also amazing. So close to all the local shops and restaurants. Thank Sharon for your hospitality!

Our family of six plus a happy boxer enjoyed our annual trip even more this year because of this well curated property. The beds were quite comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms well stocked with essentials, and the tv channels were ample at downtime. The location made it easy to walk to the town docks for the numerous lobster rolls and frequent ice cream cones and there was plenty of yard to exercise the pup. Hoping to return soon!

When we go somewhere we love to park our car and walk to everything and that is exactly what this place offered. It was so quaint inside, you didn't want to leave. The fireplace was lit and homemade brownies were on the counter waiting for us. Would defiantly go back!

Celebrated Easter with family! The house was more than well stocked to cook a holiday dinner! Host was ultra responsive! Will definitely do this again!

Cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Location was phenomenal, the amenities and thoughtful details were amazing!!! From fresh flowers to fresh brownies, a waiting beverage and of course the beautiful decor we wished we could could have stayed even longer. Thank you for the everything!!

There were 5 adults that were there for a wedding at Church Landing- so could not beat the proximity to Meredith Village. The cottage itself is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. All the little extras- fresh flowers, home made brownies and well stocked with some essentials that don’t want to drag with you on vacation- detergent/shampoo/spices and stuff to wrap food up- all make for a pleasant stay. Even took in a hike at Gunstock Mountain with breathtaking views of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains. I highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage itself is gorgeous, everything is new and fresh, the layout is perfect. It is rare to find a short term rental that is so beautifully decorated and has so many personal touches. We loved discovering the treats for our dog, the treats for us, the drinks fridge, fresh flowers everywhere, the fall decor outside, all the little ways Sharon has thought to provide a lovely experience for her guests from baby to older adult! The backyard is nice to sit out and convenient for a dog or kids, and we walked to everything in Meredith, the lake is right across the street. We will be back!

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed by our host, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage itself was immaculate, with every room sparkling clean and thoughtfully arranged. We particularly appreciated the convenience of the location. It was just a short walk to an array of charming restaurants and shops, making it easy for us to explore the village without needing to drive. This was especially handy given our busy schedule as we were there to attend wedding events of a close family friend. Overall, the combination of a welcoming host, pristine accommodation, and a prime location made our stay at the VRBO Cottage truly memorable. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Lovely place; clean spacious and perfect location to downtown.

We have been to a lot of vrbos and this by far has been the best. This cottage is so comfortable and meticulous. There were fresh flowers in every room, homemade brownies in the kitchen, treats for the dog, so many little touches made it so welcoming. Not to mention, it was spotless! It was a quick walk to shops, the lake, and lots of restaurants. We would love to stay here again!

However, because of the great location, the road is a bit noisy outside the cottage. The hosts were welcoming and I appreciated the little touches like fresh flowers and brownies. The house is adorable, exceptionally clean, stocked with plenty of necessities, and also had a lot of supplies for families with young kids/babies. Our host was exceptionally responsive, reachable, and helpful (don’t sleep on the local attraction guide!). We were able to walk to/from a wedding at the nearby Mills property with no issues at all. The only minor drawback to the property is that it faces a busy road, but we kept the windows closed and that blocked the sound of motorists just fine.

This was a great place to stay, very clean, everything you need is there and more. Fresh flowers & delicious Brownies. Very central. A bit noisy early in the morning with street traffic.

I want to take the time to rate this vacation home and explain my ratings per category. My husband and I have been renting homes and log cabins for our vacations for over thirty years! Way before VBRO and Home Away was even a thing. This house is in the top three places where we've stayed where I gave a sold FIVE star for cleanliness, and I'm a tough rater on that! If you want to open the door and feel like you do not have to start wiping down the counters before you unpack, this place is it! I mean it; it is spotless, organized, and cozy. There are fresh flowers in every room - SUCH A SPECIAL TOUCH! Initially, when viewing the listing, there were pictures and videos of the owner's other listings mixed in with this listing. Based on the pictures that were in the listing, the AWESOME reviews, and the availability, we booked. (At the time when I booked, there was only 1 picture of the house itself, outside) When reviewing the listing with multiple pics of log cabins ON the lake with my husband, he recommended I reach out and get my questions answered, because I was confused. I emailed and got a quick response explaining they have three rental properties. Two homes on the water and one in the center of Meredith. I did share with her that my husband and I recently had a tragic loss in our family and wanted privacy and quiet to get away from our traditional Christmas. I was told that everything was within walking distance and could walk everywhere, which was all true. We were shocked to see upon our arrival that the house is the ONLY house on the road, surrounded by commercial buildings and town parking lots. This road can be described as one of the main roads in Meredith. It is SUPER loud (off-season too, can't imagine the traffic noise in the peak season). Road noise made it extremely difficult to sleep as I am not accustomed to such noise. I do wish there was a shade on the front door for privacy, especially on such a highly traveled road. Being there over Christmas, I was expecting the shops, restaurants, and businesses to be closed but did not expect them to be closed on Monday, too, but I guess that is when most of their shops and businesses are closed. I was disappointed about that but that is no reflection of the owner, obviously! Once we got home, I did check the listing and the owner did add many more pics to the listing and removed the pics and videos not related to this property which is awesome!

Sharon was the best host yet. She was so attentive and thought of everything a family could need. The house was truly an oasis and I slept so well even from the first night. The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Homemade brownies met us for check in and the home was so clean bright and comfortable . Being able to walk to town with plenty of restaurants and shops, Lago and lakehouuse grill so delicious with excellent service. Please go to Weirs beach and Wolfsboro 45 minutes away but worth a ride. Moulton Farm will take all your money as well LOL. Thank you Sharon for all your time and care to make our stay full of wonderful memories.

The property and property management are superior. Location perfect. Interfacing with Sharon was smooth. She responded to my questions via email in detail.

My family has been coming to the area for 4 years, utilizing various VRBO properties. By luck of the draw, we saved the best property for last ... and just in time as we were in for PSU graduation. The amenities were above and beyond expectations and Sharon was a great communicator, very accommodating and she made sure that the property was perfect for our long weekend.
