Hotel María Dolores San Luis Potosí

What guests think

At Hotel María Dolores San Luis Potosí, travellers highlight spacious grounds and rooms and a convenient location near the bus terminal, while also noting dated areas and cleanliness that ranges from very clean to rooms needing attention.

Multiple pools and gardens are appreciated, though guests repeatedly report very cold pool water and hot tubs not operating. Service feedback is mixed: many praise courteous staff, while others cite long check-in delays, slow responses for towels or repairs, billing issues, and occasional unhelpful reception. The on-site restaurant earns frequent compliments for tasty food and breakfast, with occasional room-service hiccups and the bar sometimes closed. Expect spacious, convenient lodging with variable upkeep and service.

We weren't allowed to check in to our room until about 2 1/2 hours after the supposed check in time. When they did get us checked in, it wasn't the room we paid for and the room had clearly not been cleaned. There was someone else's hair all over the place. Our door also didn't have a security lock on it and several of the lights didn't work. The place has potential to be great, but poor service and lack of cleanliness kind of killed the excitement.

My sister and I stayed there on a Friday and a wedding event was taking place. Loud noises in hallways that have too much echo. Didn’t get sleep. My room was upstairs and the air conditioning didn’t work and it was a pretty hot day. We then stayed again on Thursday and while no event was taking place, my sisters room air conditioning was not working. Both rooms had mold in the bathroom.

The property is very beautiful, but because we traveled with our pet, we were given a rundown, ugly room. The floor boards were seperated and chewed in some areas. My reservation indicated that we were going to have a king size bed, but instead we were given two double beds. The young lady at the reception did not accomodate our needs.
